Happy Claw Arcade in Turlock is a small, cute spot that makes for a fun family outing. They offer a good variety of claw machines along with a few special games. Almost all of them only cost 1 token per play! My family and I spent about $100 and managed to win close to 13 plushies, so overall it felt worth it. The main challenge is the claw strength -- several times the claw would grab a plushie, lift it up, and then drop it once it reached the top. The weight of the plushies definitely plays a role, so some machines require a bit of strategy and patience. The staff were very friendly and even added more plushies to the machines to help make it easier for the kids to win, which we really appreciated. The space was clean and welcoming. $20 for 23 tokens is a solid deal, and we ended up spending almost 40 minutes inside having a great time. All in all, it's a friendly, clean arcade with fair pricing and fun games. We'll definitely return. read more

This place was perfect! We came in from Reno to visit with my grandkids. We went to the bowling alley first lunch and the granddaughter kept asking to go to do the claw games. We have seen a store in Reno Nevada and we were just talking about it so I popped it into yelp and it came up in Turlock where we were headed after bowling. They had so much fun. The owners are really nice and gave them a little lesson and even propped some of them up. We spent $230 but it was well worth it. The kids were happy. Then we got the mini melts. Super fun worth every penny. Of course you don't have to spend that much but we don't get a lot of time with the grands so we were glad to do it plus, it was on our way to where we were going! read more

Came to Happy Claw Arcade for funsies and to check out a "third place" that's few and far between in the town of Turlock. It was the perfect place to spend an hour (or two)! Located off the intersection of Golden Gate Blvd. and W Hawkeye, Happy Claw Arcade is one of the rare claw machine places that have begun populating the 209. The interior is beaming with neon lights, a huge anime mural takes up one side of the wall, and gigantic plushies line the other side. It's also pretty spacious and doesn't feel claustrophobic. There is a variety of claw games and gacha machines. We spent $20 for 23 coins and were able to win a few plushies and get that dopamine hit every time we snagged another. This arcade actually lets you trade in plushies you've won with almost any other plushie you see in another machine. We were able to do this with a bee for a capybara. :) The owners were SUPER nice and told us they were actually originally from Vegas (where claw machine arcades were heavily concentrated) and wanted to bring a bit of Vegas to Turlock. So cool. Definitely going to check them out again and will recommend to friends visiting to do the same! read more

We saw this place randomly appear a few weeks back, but it wasn't open yet. I looked them up on social media and found info. Yesterday was their soft opening. I scooped up my girls and we headed over. It wasn't busy at all. You buy tokens and then each machine is 1 token. We did $100, so 135 tokens. There are also some machines that take 4 tokens and you can get a figurine and you recycle the ball for 1 token. I think we won 21 or 22 plushies! They also have a counter where you can upgrade your winnings into bigger prizes. I want to say it started at 8 to upgrade. We decided to keep all our little friends. Just know, upgrades can only be done same day only. We had a lot of fun and will be coming back soon! The owners were so friendly! read more

The prizes are super cute, and it feels like a fun gambling experience for kids. The atmosphere is lively, and the staff is friendly. We had a great time here with our toddler. Jenn and Leon are wonderful owners and we can't wait to come back to support them again. We bought $50 of tokens and it lasted us over an hour. My family loves claw machines. :D It was so fun visiting Happy Claw! The owners are so warm and welcoming. I thought the pricing was reasonable. I like that you can upgrade to a larger plushy once you get a certain amount of the little guys. The challenge was deciding which of the little ones to trade as they're all so cute and unique in their own way! They also have other games that require a few more tokens that guarantee to dispense a prize. Such a fun place to spend an hour or two in your day. We will definitely be back! read more

Very cute place and clean. The owners are extremely friendly and will teach you how to use the claw machines. They give you a punch card, and after you spend a certain amount you can get 40 free tokens or a giant stuffed animal. They also have some machines that are like vending machines, so the kids can be guaranteed to get something. If you return the plastic ball that the toy comes in, they'll give you a token back. You can trade in your small plushies for bigger ones. They really go above and beyond to make sure you have a fun experience. We have already returned once and will definitely come back again in the future! I have never won something from a claw machine in my life, and we got several items from these claw machines. read more

I was so excited to go to this place because I love claw machines arcades! I live in socal and have been to so many there. I went in and I noticed there wasn't anyone in the front; finally, a teenager assisted me and I got the tokens. After that, he left! There is such a complete lack of hospitality/customer service at this business. I also noticed it filled with a ton of children who I assume were apart of the business operators family/friends, I'm curious as if this is a daycare as well. No one helped with repositioning of plushies when consistently playing a machine or even checking in, this is something that always happens at other claw machine arcades. I also noticed these abruptly open on purpose, even if you have a great grab. Spending $50 we received about 5 prizes due to the lack of grabbing. I understand there's a payout but most arcades like this don't purposefully open before it enters the winning shoot. Safe to say I will not coming again when I'm visiting my hometown and stick to the arcades in socal. read more

Stopped on Sunday with my grandkids on our way to Elk Grove. This place is so clean and the gentleman in charge was very nice and concerned that the kids were having fun. The machines are not that easy, but you definitely leave with some plushies if you're patient. In addition, if you don't get the plushie you want but you were lucky to get a different one, you can exchange it for a different plushie (same size) from a different claw machine.
