I needed a last-minute place for our team bonding event because the original location fell through. A friend mentioned a venue that sounded great, so I decided to reach out. I spoke with Sarb, and he was very helpful. He told me they still had availability for our event, which was a relief. What impressed me the most was that they offered us time to set up before the event started. When we arrived, the place was clean and ready, making it easy to get everything organized. Since we were working with kids, we didn't use the throwing axe area, but we did enjoy some exciting laser tag. you could bring your own water and cake or cupcakes, but you needed to buy your food from them. They used Mountain Mike's pizza for food orders, which was located off Robinhood. There was a bit of confusion among the workers because some understood the rules differently than others. However, I decided to stay patient and ask questions until I got clear answers. After discussing it, everything worked out well for me. My food arrived exactly on time, just like I had requested. The laser tag room was amazing! It had two stories and was really well put together. Honestly, I can't explain how fun it was--you just have to see it for yourself! The kids had a blast playing there, and believe me, it's definitely a workout! They got to play four different games, so there was always something new to try. When you first arrive, you need to sign some waivers and set up your account. They take a picture of you, which goes up on a big screen at the end of your game, showing your score. Everyone was excited to see who had the most points! The atmosphere was lively, and everyone was laughing and cheering. It was a great way to spend the day, and I can't wait to go back again. Just took my family of 5 tonight. The staff was very nice. A little disappointed because when I called they said $20 over the phone and then when I got there it turned into $30 but apparently some card that you put your name into for no reason at all was part of that and it was $5 per person.. literally no reason to have that card to play laser tag.. so for a family of 5 to play it cost 150$ kinda a pricey ticket for 45 including the consultation.. I know the world is pricey today but just seemed a little high to me.. my daughter who is 4 immediately was upset because the sounds were too loud and ended up not playing at all but we weren't able to get refunded and were told this from the beginning but we decided to give it a go.. oh well lol Like I said the staff was very nice to me and my kids but I really don't see us going back again.. maybe for a birthday party if it's worth it.. read more

We had a great time as a family here. We had the axe throwing area to ourselves. We got to pick music to listen to. The boards was a little broken so some times your axe didn't go inside. The employees are very nice. They do have an arcade, Lazer tag and party rooms also. I would go back. read more

Had a great time at Zap Zone. We did the Axe throwing and some others in our group did Laser Tag. It was newly renovated and the 2 story laser tag looked great but my old knees would not last 2 minutes in there. There were a few beers on tap and we had 2 pitchers of Blue Moon. We also ordered wings and French fries and they were fresh and hot. There's also a small arcade with several games. Very pleased with the facilities and all of the options for our entire group. We stopped in because my daughter just wanted to play a game of laser tag. We were so surprised to see this refreshed space. This is a cool spot for the youth of Stockton. The cost includes 5 rounds of laser tag that will surely tire you out. You'll receive a card to enter your unique Username/Code Name and even take a photo. The multi-level laser tag arena was spacious & they had updated laser tag vests & guns. They offer different game styles, but we played Domination -- where our goal was to control as many Sectors/Zones as possible. You need to run through your base occasionally to replenish your laser ammo/energy bullets. You get to see your stats after each game & they are also displayed on a tv in the main room afterwards. Super fun experience. They also have 4 lanes for axe throwing & the set up is pretty cool for larger groups. Wide assortment of axe throwing games and user-friendly tablets to record your scores. Non-players can scan a QR code to engage and either "cheer" or "boo" the axe thrower. There are a few different axes to choose from & the staff provide a helpful demo to get you started. Beer & wine & normal refreshments are also available. There are a handful of arcade games for younger children to enjoy, but it's not a large arcade or the main attraction. I honestly didn't spend too much time looking at that area or what the prize redemption was like. I got the chance to meet the new owner & he's very friendly and accommodating. Shout out to Sukh and his team for their great service. They let us choose the music on the projector screen and everyone had a good time. Don't let the outside appearances discourage you. You'll be surprised & definitely have some fun. Stockton definitely needs more things like this for our youth to enjoy. They also do birthday party reservations! read more

Went to Zap zone us Stockton. We spent almost 500 and not worth it. Nothing was organized when I called to get information before the party took weeks to get a response. Even after asking how things went, when he got there Nothing was as I was told. When the kids played the guy was extremely rude to the kids. None of the games worked and every thing was super rushed. I will never have a party here again. Do not waste your money. Then the lady said she got an extra pizza and I would not be charged she would just give to us. I checked my card today. This was my first time playing laser tag. I was there for a 10 year old birthday party and had a lot of fun. The customer service was fantastic. I really enjoyed the layout of the place and how much the young guy running the place invested in his customers. It's in a bad part of town but just park close and empty your vehicles. Such a fun gem of Stockton. This spacious facility has axe throwing and laser tag (two floors to run/hide for your opponents). Kudos to the attentive and welcoming staff who were thorough with safety/instructions/tips. They let me and my date play our music choice on their large projector while we got our axe on! They have a variety of axe throwing games to choose from; if that's not enough for you they also have a smaller selection of arcade games to play. To start...we came inperson and chose what package we wanted, looked around and was offered a specific package. We were offered to choose a room that had 12 seats and there were also rooms with 9 seats. We have a 12 kid party plus some adults so we obviously said we would want the larger room. We were also offered, if we wanted, to play alone and when we showed up party day they said no. We were shoved into a room the had a small square table that could seat 9 and would not be able to play alone. There is only 1 girl workig. The front and she was the one who sold me the package and she pretty much told me to bad. She wasn't woth a loud voice e but she was talking to me like what I was promised was to bad so sad. We paid 500$ and didn't get what was promised. I asked for the manager, who wasn't on-site, they called him on his cell phone and he pretty much didn't care. In the end after arguing, we did get the room we were promised. The party room had chopped paint all over, holes and literally half the games were ​broken. read more

Man we found this place on accident and so glad we did. This is a family establishment with amazing service we had an amazing time. The wife and I brought our older kids in for a game of laser tag we paid and gave the kids a few dollars to go play games. We were shocked to see they had whiteclaws and chicken nuggets lol we were even more shocked since the food tasted super fresh and good flavor. All the workers were very friendly and made sure we had a great time. We started the laser tag and they had fun games instead of the regular team based free for all. We played domination where we had to control bases and go to war. The guns shot accurate and the play was awesome. We will definitely we will be back to support this family. Brought a group of kids here for a birthday party. Overall was a good experience for everyone, all the kids had a blast. You can tell the place was updated and had a lot to offer. There was a bar, arcade, food and drinks available before or after laser tag. The place was wheelchair accessible with an open floor plan and two story playing field. The hosts were nice and accommodating. Although this place seems to cater to adults more than children. Not necessarily cons, but things to be aware of before coming: - can't bring outside food or drinks, the kids get dehydrated while playing and you're forced to buy drinks from here - each player is $35/hour for adults and kids which is pretty expensive if you have a lot of kids. - they tell you paying for an hour will save you money in the end, but in reality we didn't save any. They just added an extra game for the kids. - children under 7 shouldn't be permitted to play, the gear was too heavy for a 5 year old and the room is extremely dark. Our 5 year old cried and basically walked around the room not participating. We wanted to get a refund while she was crying, but was told it was too late to remove her before the game had even started. - even if you come as a group you are not guaranteed to be on the same team, this isn't much of a problem for older kids or adults, but when playing with little kids they need an adult to help them play or be supervised. Our 5 year old was placed on the opposite team as us and had no one to assist her. She sat out the entire game which was a waste of money. the equipment is too heavy for small children! You are not warned about this before playing and pay before you try on the equipment. - our group had a mix of adults and children, and they seemed to put most of the older people on one team. Causing one team to consistently loose, resulting in tantrums from the children because they felt it was unfair for little kids to be playing against adults & teens. The team placements should really be thought out more. - towards the end of the game mothers and babies were able to sit in the room and watch their other kids play. We didn't know this was an option or we could have had our 5 year old sit out but still be in the room to watch her siblings play. - After laser tagging, the kids wanted to play arcade games. The air hockey table was unplugged and we placed money in to play. We plugged the table in so the kids could play, and we were scolded for plugging in the air hockey table "without permission". There was no sign present or warning about the air hockey table being off limits. We already placed our money in it and expected the kids to be able to play. Apparently the machine gives out free games. You'd think after paying $245 for laser tagging, paying for arcade games and buying beverages that the kids would be allowed to play air hockey. We were told the kids couldn't play, so they started playing while the machine was off. Again we were scolded for using the machine while it was off. If it's such an issue a sign should be posted or the machine should be removed. The game should not be offered if it causes such a big fuss over a few quarters. I think it's quite mean to host a bunch of children and display off limit games. read more

So let me start by saying Rhea (the party host) was very kind, accommodating and patient! She ensured that our needs were met and questions were answered. My son and his friends had a wonderful time for his birthday party. The party package was substantial (although a bit pricey). Included in the pricing were arcade tokens, which to my surprise they still had very reasonably priced games! My biggest reason for the 3 stars is that my son's party was on a day that the weather was 101 degrees at 3:30pm. We walked into the building and it was already hot. So of course we asked if the AC would be turned down. Rhea went to check on it, but as more people arrived the temperature only became hotter. I am unsure if the owner was trying to save money by not cooling the location seeing as it is a huge warehouse, however this made for very uncomfortable conditions. The kids are playing 5 back to back games of laser tag in a hot muggy building. Other customers were walking around fanning themselves and dripping sweat. The building should have been cool prior to the high of the day. Rhea was also the only host, so although she was very accommodating she was also stretched thin working the three parties that took place and the front desk. Last, it would have been nice for the kids to have a break in between the 5 games to hydrate, especially with the hot conditions. We would definitely go back, but not during the highs of summer. read more

The man was very rude to the kids saying they were playing too loud. Then he changed his closing time so we had to hurry up and leave. I would never come back here. I had a party of 8 for my grandsons birthday and they had a blast. They're all high school students. Initially we were squawking (complaining) about five rounds. But we were excited, and exhausted after the third round lol. I considered the party package but the time was too limited so we simply opted for pizza at a local pizza place where everyone could get unlimited drinks less than five minutes away. The price is reasonable but it's up to the adults to research ahead of time so that they're not disappointed because of the cost. I planned ahead for sure. read more

Haven't been to Zap zone since pre covid. But my daughter wanted to do laser tag for her birthday. Zap zone was recommended by a friend and I am happy we came here. My daughter had 12 people she invited, including a few of her siblings so the age range was about 9 years old to 16 years old. The place did have other people who came on their own and got included in to play (people we don't know/other customers/players) but my kids didn't mind they said it added more fun having more people to the game. We had a package which included the room, 3 pizzas, cheesy bread, pitchers of soda and beer (which we just opted for all soda). I believe he is one of the owners suggested having the kids eat after which was a great idea. They came out red, hot, and sweating! Lol. We got there about half an hour early before or slot time which they were so nice to let us set up in the room. My daughter said the fries there were so good as we also ordered fries and mozzarella sticks. They do not allow outside food but did allow us to bring cake in. Things I didn't realize is that typically you are to bring your own plates and napkins but they were really good about offering us some plates they had. I can appreciate the apology and fixing the error there. They were very attentive and informative checked in on us. My kids are ready to go back. I saw a review about pricing but yes the package we got came out to about $37 a kid but they played laser tag for about 45 mins, got at least two plates each of pizza and cheesy bread, plus more than enough to drink which we didn't even finish all the pitchers. To us that was pretty good. There was even enough food us and one other parent that stayed. We even have leftovers still. We also stayed after and the kids got to enjoy some arcade games. read more

We needed a quick place to take everyone and my husband decided to call Zap Zone. And honestly I'm glad he did!! Every staff member was so friendly and welcoming. Even though we were the last group, we didn't feel rushed. They let us used the back room. The young lady that works there was super sweet. She handed my daughter a remote to control whatever she wanted to listen to while they were eating and that absolutely made her night. Thank you for making her day a little more special. Games are extremely outdated or turned off and you have to use their tokens ,this place can be super expensive if you do not do your research so I advise to call or stop by before even planning anything . Good luck trying to get service at the bar, you have to wait for the person up front to finish dealing with customers, then that person has to walk towards the bar to help you out. Pitchers are around 20-23 $ depending on who attend you, axe throwing area is pretty decent not bad bathrooms were also clean for the most part......Will I go back probably not it's a one and done for me. read more
