    Bowling lanes
    Jason S.

Bowling alleys have changed since the 70s and 80s. Here's all that is good. The arcade is actually pretty cool. They have a good selection of games that will keep the kids occupied if bowling isn't there thing. The bar is pretty good. The signature cocktails are way too sweet. So if that's not your thing stick to classic cocktails or jack and coke. The bowling lanes are really nice and the equipment is maintained. I didn't see any screens malfunctioning which is a win. The staff that takes your order and brings food, etc to your table is short staffed but really friendly so give them some grace. We had a really good time. The pizza is crap so avoid that. We tried some of the other food options like the fish tacos and they weren't bad. Not great but not terrible. They hit right in the middle. We would go again.

It was a fun event at the launch party at Lucky strike in Manteca! Great DJ, fun atmosphere and pretty decent food for the price!

Amazing service from the staff, specifically Dave. We came with our daughters and they made sure to go above and beyond to make sure they had the best time. Thank you so much to the staff at Lucky Strike, we will definitely be back for birthday parties & all the rest!

Not like I've been to a lot of bowling alleys but here's some of my key takeaways from this place…read moreand how I'm swayed towards giving them a better review than maybe they deserve. 1) they have a summer pass that gets you 2 free games a day, free shoe rental, $5 worth of arcade credits a day and 10-15% off of food and drinks (non alcoholic). I got the premium and that's around $66 or so. 2) they have a ton of lanes and we have never had to wait. 3) the food, at least the pizza, is pretty decent considering it's a bowling alley. They also have a pizza and pitcher combo (non alcoholic or beer) that's pretty reasonably priced. Now here's some of the downsides: 1) there's been service issues in the past in terms of us ordering and then the kitchen not getting the order. Also some common sense issues. Like they were offering free drinks to summer pass holders and they only gave us 1 drink for free even though there were 2 summer pass holders. It's not that hard to just give us the 2nd drink and not put it in the system as a charge (at least I wouldn't think?). We didn't fight it because we didn't want to be difficult. 2) It seems like 1/3 to 1/2 of the games in the arcade are partially or completely broken and/or out of order. 3) A lot of the balls have like cracks or chunks missing and some of the lanes mess up the pins from time to time. They probably deserve a 3/5 but the summer pass is have to say bumps them up to a 4.

Not sure which one is correct. A clarification would be nice. We were a little disappointed that the PLINKO game only gives one PLINKO chip to play per turn. You have to get it to slide through the middle to earn more chips to play with. Sadly, we did not. We only earned 30 and 50 tickets each time we played. The jackpot is earned by landing in the "B" at the bottom. We mostly earned tickets by playing Pop the Lock, my son has played this before at another arcade (D&B). So, he is pretty good at it. He won the jackpot twice. At Northern Lights Arcade you can keep playing for extra tokens/paw points, but it will not give you the jackpot (only 100 tickets). So, it does not seem worth it. However, you can decide for yourself! :) We also played The Wizard of Oz coin pushing/card collecting game. We built up quite a nice, little pile of cards, plus red and green coins. However, at the end of the night (close to 10:00pm) they are supposed to reset it. It wasn't even 8:00pm and we were still playing other games, they reset the machine. It makes it a lot harder to win. :( They have some cute prizes for thousands of tickets. I forgot to take photo inside the prize area. They had a Playstation light that has the quintessential shapes of the controller (square, circle, triangle and X). It was 9,000 tickets. We did not have that much, although we were close. We opted to save our tickets and go home with a few fruit punch Tootsie Rolls.

Some of the best games are missing like Connect 4 Hoops or an actual basketball versus game with a normal rim rather than a plastic 3 foot wide rim. 2. There are basically no classic arcade games like Rampage, Street Fighter II, or NBA Jam which would add a lot of value. 3. The ticketing system still uses paper tickets. 4. Expensive.

I had no idea it was only 6 rides. I thought it was unlimited rides for 5 hours. It goes fast! definitely runs out before 5 hours, so not sure why it says 5 hours. $38 It is still the only way to go as most of the bigger attractions are either : $10 or $12 per ride and only last 5-7 minutes long:( and.. there is NOT enough shade for adults that are bystanders. But if you want to blow through $76 in about 1 hour to join them on all 6 rides.. you can do that too. also, no one told us at purchase point that it was only 6 rides AND that if you go on water ride... you can not go on any other rides wet. period. whaaat?? Thank goodness I had an extra pair of clothes in car for our sleepover. Or there would have been a strong request to return the pass for another day. There is zero shade by bumper boats. Please drill a hole in the tables for an umbrella. Please provide shade for your customers. I thought I would have a stroke in the duration of the 5 minute bumper boat ride. lol. I would seriously consider a monthly subscription for unlimited rides if they had one. Also, be prepared to stand outside in the sun while you fill out the waiver (at the entrance) with your phone. Sooo annoying. and must be done EVERY TIME you go. There is always one of the attr as cations closed for repair for months now. It's a virtual game. Not sure what it is because it's always closed. they take credit cards. So that's good. no charge.

I spoke with Sarb, and he was very helpful. He told me they still had availability for our event, which was a relief. What impressed me the most was that they offered us time to set up before the event started. When we arrived, the place was clean and ready, making it easy to get everything organized. Since we were working with kids, we didn't use the throwing axe area, but we did enjoy some exciting laser tag. you could bring your own water and cake or cupcakes, but you needed to buy your food from them. They used Mountain Mike's pizza for food orders, which was located off Robinhood. There was a bit of confusion among the workers because some understood the rules differently than others. However, I decided to stay patient and ask questions until I got clear answers. After discussing it, everything worked out well for me. My food arrived exactly on time, just like I had requested. The laser tag room was amazing! It had two stories and was really well put together. Honestly, I can't explain how fun it was--you just have to see it for yourself! The kids had a blast playing there, and believe me, it's definitely a workout! They got to play four different games, so there was always something new to try. When you first arrive, you need to sign some waivers and set up your account. They take a picture of you, which goes up on a big screen at the end of your game, showing your score. Everyone was excited to see who had the most points! The atmosphere was lively, and everyone was laughing and cheering. It was a great way to spend the day, and I can't wait to go back again. If you're looking for fun and excitement, this place is a must-visit!

We visited on a Sunday, and it wasn't too crowded, which was nice because the kids had plenty of room to play. They also have party rooms available, and the rooms are a good size for birthday celebrations and group events. My only suggestion is that the food court service could be more attentive. We were informed that adults are NOT allowed on the second story of the play structure and cannot accompany our child on the slides. Our 21 month old had to stay on the first floor the whole visit. She started getting upset that we wouldn't allow her to follow the other kids up to the slides. I asked an employee why we couldn't go down the slides with our daughter and she said per new ownership, they changed the rules. Except recent videos (as of today) on social media of people advertising this place show adults going down the slides. We also witnessed adults walking around the top floors with their kids and going down the slides. It seems that the rules aren't applicable to everyone. Tons of balls in the ball pit were deflated, the ball cannon shooters were not working and that's pretty much all there is to do if you stay on the ground floor. Older kids can play in the ball pit and it's simply way too small for that. My daughter was terrified of the older kids running and jumping into the pit around her. It was a rainy day outside and very crowded. I asked one of the floor workers if she could turn on the giant overhead fan to help move some air around since it was very muggy and warm and she said she had to ask the owner first. She even admitted she was getting hot as well. 20 minutes went by and it was never turned on. I guess it doesn't work? Not sure why you need to ask the owner for permission to turn on a fan. The layout could use a little rearranging. It's a cool concept, just not executed nearly as well as others with the same idea. For the price, $40-ish for two adults to accompany their toddler, it's absolutely not worth it. We won't be returning. Also keep in mind, if you order tickets and sign the waiver ahead of time, you'll still have to wait in line behind people who didn't. Just one person in front of us with one child took 15 minutes to buy their tickets and sign the waiver. Once we were checked in which took less than 5 minutes, the line was out the door. There are also no lockers to safely put your belongings in, just open cubby's.

They have games where you can play for tickets if you want, and they have games that you can play just for the fun of it. My favorite is the carnival-style water shooter game, where you compete against someone to see who can fill up the tank with a water gun first. The prizes are pretty much what you would expect from an arcade. It's geared towards kids, so they obviously have prizes for kids, but you can still get candy or other little trinkets that are alright. All in all, I love coming here. The only criticism I have is the location, but that's not really the arcade's fault. It's located in a dead/dying mall, so there's no good food. Maybe Charlies Sandwiches but thats it. You can't pause playing and just grab a quick bite to eat. You have to leave the mall and then come back. But if they relocated somewhere else, the rent might be more expensive, so I don't blame the arcade for its location. It's just something you have to keep in mind when visiting.
