Hidden in a nondescript building in downtown Stockton you'll find a little shopping center with this awesome little arcade at the basement level. I don't come to Stockton often but finding little areas like this are a nice little change of pace. The Underground Arcade is definitely more on the retro side but a nice little place to host a party for young kids. They had free place access to almost all games for 2 hours and also a chance to play in a little nerf course set up. The kids really enjoyed it and it was a nice change of pace from the brand name locations. This place offers a great value and while it's hard to find this place from the outside, there was ample street parking. They allowed outside food and the staff was over all helpful and professional. We celebrated my son's 10th birthday here in The Underground Arcade. The boys and girls love the Nerf zone battlefield, while the little kids enjoyed the arcade. Adults played the billiards too. The food and drinks are good. Pizza can serve 6-7 adults (we have a lot of leftovers). Over all the place is clean and well maintained. I would like to thank the staff and especially the guy who helped and served the food ( I forgot his name).Thank You! Will definitely recommend this place to my friends and family. read more

Just had my son's 8th birthday here on March 16th. And what a great experience it was! The employees were wonderful, helpful and kind. The kids (and adults) had an absolute blast playing the games. The pizza was surprisingly delicious (that cheese is ) I love that it's just your group, no walk ins, so the kids really get to let loose and have fun. The nerf zone was the main reason my son wanted his party here, and he and all his friends had a total blast. There are so many birthday spots for smaller children, but the underground arcade hits that sweet spot when they are to big for play places but are still small enough to want to have every kid in class lol Definitely will be recommending this place to EVERYONE. We had our sons 4th birthday party here and he and his guests had a blast. It was a party of about 40 people, half kids half adults. The staff was very attentive, flexible and kept the party going. The nerf zone was a surprise hit and I think the dads had more fun than the kids. The arcade was the perfect size for the group that we had and with plenty of classics from my childhood. I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a small/med gathering with kids and adults alike that want to have some fun. There is also a designated parking area so that you don't have to park on the street. Cons- the area outside of the venue was a little sketchy with vagabonds roaming around but the staff was very aware and kept it under control. You can help it, it's downtown Stockton. read more

We had our son's 7th birthday party at The Underground Arcade and we absolutely loved it here!! The manager was great! He stayed upstairs to watch the doors while we partied downstairs. It was nice to have that peace of mind that no random people would crash the party. When we first got there, he gave us a cart for all of our stuff to bring down the elevator which was SO helpful! The other workers were so helpful and attentive as well! They were all so kind and offered to help decorate and I truly appreciated that!! The area itself was so spacious! There was plenty of games available for kids and adults to enjoy! The NERF room was awesome too! The workers were there the entire time and were great notifying us once the NERF room was ready to play in again. We all had a BLAST!! Highly recommend!!! read more

I saw this place on my lunch one day and mentioned it to my daughter. She decided to have my grandson's 7th birthday party here tonight and we all loved it. The kids and adults had so much fun. It was pure nostalgia for us adults with all the old school video games and air hockey. The kids didn't know what to do first, they were running around playing all the games and had a blast in the nerf room. The staff was so attentive and helpful! It was just the best experience for everyone we had the best time! We all said we will be back for many more parties! You get the whole place to for your party and food was included! Place is nice Nerf gun war space is beautiful but customer service sucks they basically made my kids wait until I gave them payment at 8PM TO LET MY KIDS PLAY while I'm hosting a party running last minute errands and I PAID FOR TWO PARTY SLOTS WHILE MY LIDS ONLY USED THE NERF ROOM FOR 45 minutes! Basically have there money UPFRONT (WHICH WAS NEVER MENTIONED) or they will just let it your party sit there looking stupid the whole time . Such a hidden gem. I only wish we could do more to promote downtown Stockton and all it has to offer. This place has so many fun video games from old to new (and some new old games too) 2 air hockey tables and 2 basketball hoop games. They even have whack a mole!! Had an amazing party for my sons 11th bday there! Super last minute party was able to snag the last open slot for the day being 10 A.M. everything was clean and ready for the party. All staff super helpful and nice. Kids loved all the areas. Staff was helpful in nerf room as well. Our party ended at 12 and our guest waited until 12 to turn in their tickets for prizes and manager got this job done as quick as he could and didn't ever make any of us feel rushed out. Thanks again. Def recommend to anyone else. Best part was it was fully private. Didn't have to worry about looking for our own children in a big space with a bunch of other families, if you are like me I panic when I can't find my kids right away in crowded places. Super spacious for all guest as well. Only down side was not all food was ready on time (my guest all ate) but also there was only 1-2 guys making such a big order my last two pizzas were not able to be cooked but they had no problem at all issuing a refund.
