From wedding venue to baby shower venue, the sycamore is always our first choice when looking for a place to celebrate. The venue is stunning and it hardly needs any decorations to feel complete. The gorgeous brick wall and string lighting steal the show. It's a perfect open floor plan with space for over 200 guests. The kitchen is tucked away in the corner providing an industrial sink, microwave, ice maker, and fridge/freezer, making it easy to store and prepare food for your event. The bar also includes a beverage cooler, bar sink for washing glasses, and plenty of shelves for storing alcohol. The venue is always cleaned, bathrooms always fully stocked, and tables and chairs provided by Cynthia making the planning process such a breeze. Cynthia is a dream to work with. She is super communicative with times available for picking up and dropping off keys. She provided us with a detailed walk through of the venue before our event, letting us know how to turn on lights and ac/heater unit. She let us know where to find everything we would need. She was so generous with time to set up and break down for our event both times that we've rented with her and we couldn't be more appreciative and happy with our experience each time. I've had the chance to do a few catering and décor events at this location before, and I always thought it was such a beautiful space. This year, I decided to finally host my daughter's birthday party here--and it was the BEST decision! July birthdays can be tough with the extreme heat, and in the past my guests would complain about other venues being too hot. Not this time! Everyone was so comfortable and happy, and I kept getting compliments on how perfect the hall was. From the very beginning, Cynthia was incredibly kind and attentive during our walk-through. She made sure everything was exactly what I needed. The hall itself is spacious enough that we were able to have: 2 jumpers and outdoor seating Taco catering and even our horse trailer bar outside Face painters and activity tables inside 6 snack carts, a balloon setup, and a photo booth--all with plenty of room to spare! My family and friends were blown away by how much we could fit without feeling crowded. The space truly made the party smooth, enjoyable, and memorable. I cannot rave enough about this place--it's seriously a MUST if you're hosting an event. Where to even begin?! Located in downtown Stockton this beautiful Industrial Style Venue has wooden floors, high ceilings, central heating and air, newly renovated restrooms (two family bathrooms plus a men's and women's), nice size prep kitchen, ice maker, big bar space (equipped with ice tub, sink, prep table and refrigerator!), gated lot and ample parking in and around the venue. However, it does not matter how amazing the hall is if management is not easy to work with. Well let me tell you Cynthia was AMAZING! My wife and I are so appreciative of Cynthia and how easy she made this whole process for us. We will definitely be renting out the venue again. Note: If there is no event the night before your's, you may have the hall that day to set up and if Sunday is open as well, then you are able to do the clean up the next day. Day of the event, you must be out by Midnight. Venue: perfect for a small or medium reception. We had 200 guest with enough space for a large dance floor. Location: Downtown Stockton, Weber Ave & Stanislaus. I was quite surprised how quiet and safe the area was. The surrounding buildings have been renovated or in the process. I went to the Sycamore when they were doing this open air flea market type thing. It was actually pretty cool. You could buy beer and everything. I think it was around May 2014-ish. The Sycamore was an idea of the envisionAry urban planner, Tim Egan. A lot of this happened since then. I think it's just became a space you can rent for a lot of money. It's not necessarily in the best neighborhood in town. They don't really do those flea markets in there. It's just kind of there. read more

We recently held our daughters quinceañera here at The Sycamore. Such a beautiful location, perfect for the aesthetic my daughter was going for. Cynthia was AMAZING from beginning to end! This process couldn't have been as easy without her. She was happy to answer any and all questions, super helpful with vendor recommendations and so flexible with all my "add ons" as we got closer to the party. They venue itself was beautiful and super clean. Didn't need to be overly decorated as it had a vibe all its own. Nice size prep kitchen, ice maker was a lifesaver in the summer heat and bar area was very spacious. Bathrooms were great with women's and men's bathroom and 2 good size single bathrooms which made it easy for our daughter with her dress!! I must admit, it's taken me some time to review The Sycamore located in Downtown Stockton, California simply for the reason, I didn't know where to begin. Our experience at this venue were nothing short of spectacular. Everything from start to finish was unquestionably perfect because we had the absolute privilege working with Events Director, Cynthia Guerrero- Lopez, whom was more than accommodating to all our needs at all hours of the day and night. Cynthia was readily available and answered all of our questions thoroughly. She was undoubtedly the sort of welcoming help you need when planning any event. Not to over exaggerate, but I must've contacted her at least two times a week for nine months about wedding details. I've jokingly teased, in the nine months she was helping us plan our wedding, we could have produced a child in that time frame. LOL And do you wanna know the real kicker of it all?! Cynthia Guerrero Lopez had a wedding to plan of her own. It just so happened she was getting hitched the weekend before us! Crrrazzzy, right?! Every bride knows how stressful planning a wedding can be, so to this day, it boggles my mind how readily available she was especially planning a wedding of her own. Pros Not only was the space gorgeous, but we were allowed free reign of the entire venue. And when I say free reign, I mean it. For cocktail hour, Cynthia's team were kind enough to host a bar outside as well as indoor to better serve our guests for open bar. During cocktail hour, we had catered street tacos paired with with esquites (mexican corn in a cup) while having lawn games such as: Giant Jenga, Giant Connect Four, Cornhole, and flip cup to entertain our guests. Later in the evening, we used the outdoor space to host two fire pits for our guests to roast marshmallows and make smores. As for the indoor area, my husband lives and breathes pizza and donuts, so we were able accommodate his wishes by creating a donut wall and a pizza bar for the groom. I cannot stress enough how huge this venue was. In addition to the pizza bar and donut wall, we also had a full dessert bar, a full buffet line, eighteen beautiful rustic farm tables, plus a photobooth to host 205 guests without it feeling cramped nor suffocating in any way. Oh let's not forget to mention the bartenders provided through The Sycamore. They were the best pair of duos serving up delicious drinks throughout the night. This bride was toasty shortly after dinner, so the bartenders did their jobs right haha Cons I think the only cons about this venue is, you'd have to bring in everything yourself. For example, the venue only provides the space so you'd have to rent out chairs, tables, china, silverware, etc from an outside vendor. However, in our case we absolutely didn't mind and liked the idea of putting in our own touch to our wedding. For instance, we brought in a whole patio set for the seating area around the main fire pit. And the Sycamore provided tree trunks that we used as seating for the other fire pit. People often ask us what was the best part of our wedding day was. The best part about the day thanks to Cynthia, her staff, and my family, we didn't have to worry about a thing. Everything was taken care of. And because everything was well taken care of, this bride was "Bride-Chilla instead of Bride-zilla! In turn, our experience at the Sycamore has exceeded our expectations entirely. My husband and I couldn't be more happier about about our wedding day and wish we can do it again 100 hundred times over. It was such a magical day full of love, laughter, and happy tears. Our contact person was very helpful throughout the entire process. She made sure to stay in contact with the event coordinators throughout, she was punctual and transparent which I really appreciate. Overall, the venue was nice considering there aren't many options in Stockton but we made the best out of it. Some things to consider are improvements with parking (which depends on various factors I'm sure), entrance visibility and bar communication (could have used more signage for customers to get in the right lines) and maybe more props? Throughout the entire process, Cynthia went above and beyond to make sure our special day went exactly how we wanted it. For example, the night before the wedding, my crew and I had forgot some decor that needed to go up. She was willing to come back to the venue that evening to open up for us. I didn't have to do much when it came to decorations because the venue already had such a beautiful, rustic feel to it. It has beautiful wood flooring, lighting and open space. There were plenty of nice and clean restrooms. There's indoor space, outdoor space and plenty of parking. Do not let the location intimidate you. First off, this place is very affordable and so pretty on the inside! We had less than a month to find a place for our reception and I'm so happy we found this place! Cynthia is the sweetest! The Sycamore was such a great choice for our vow renewal reception. Cynthia (the manager) is so easy to work with. Our guests loved the space. The venue is lightly decorated so bringing our own decor to top it off was simple. It was very hot on the day of the reception, so we used the outdoor space to park food trucks, and then moved the party outdoors through the large garage door when things cooled down. My fiance and I went to go look at this venue in November. They have a beautiful red brick wall, lights, and wood floors, that gave the venue a rustic vibe. I like how it was close to home so my family and friends would be able to attend it. Additionally, my father is ill, and he would be able to attend as well. I could see my wedding vision coming to life here. We met with Cynthia, and after looking at the venue, she said she would email us the Proposal for the venue. A week went by and we sent her an email, since we did not get a email from her yet. We thought she was busy, as she stated in her previous email she was busy moving into her new office. Three weeks went by and we emailed her again thinking the email we sent her went into her spam or junk inbox, but we still did not get a email from her. However; I see her constantly posting on Instagram and posting throw back weddings from the previous year. I think it's very unprofessional of her to say she would email us the Proposal for the venue and she obviously did not. My Fiance and I were excited to book our venue here. Due to lack of communication and unprofessionalism from Cynthia, we will be looking to book our venue else where. First off, Cynthia is amazing!! The constant ongoing text messages, calls, meet ups at the venue and questions that I probably asked her already, she was always willing to help. Her experience helped us out greatly as we prepared for our big day. No one booked the venue the day before our wedding, so she let us in Friday to start the set up which was HUGE on time. We had both our ceremony and reception there, and it was perfect. No need to be discouraged about the downtown location , as we were also. Once everything was in place and the reception was ongoing, you don't even realize you're in downtown Stockton. The venue is beautiful! the hanging lights, the ceiling long drapes with the brick wall will tie into any theme you're thinking of. It's a big space and you can arrange your event anyway you like. There is a lot of parking space for your guests and the restrooms are nicely done and spacious. The only negative is you'll have to rent your own table and chairs.
