Angel was such a great party host! He was on the ball doing everything despite it being crowded and a lot going on. He was very enthusiastic and you could tell he takes his job seriously. He has a very positive attitude and was very kind when he let us know that we needed to switch tables. He was a big part of making the whole experience a great one. He deserves a big bonus! We miss the animatronics being there but we know most every location has had to remove them. Despite that, it was very full and all the families were having fun. The prices are very reasonable and a good value compared to other family fun spots in the area. We like that this location has been open as a Chuck E. Cheese's for so long. I've been to the Gilroy, San Jose, and Dublin location, and in my personal opinion, this is the location I prefer. Service was friendly and the building was clean and well maintained. Be advised that if you plan on having your children enjoy the indoor play area, there is n additional 15$ charge and your child is required to be under 56 inches in height, no exceptions. We decided not eat, but the there are plenty of tables to dine at including community style tables for celebrations and parties. The first thing I notice when I take my daughter here is just how hard the staff works. Helping folks in various areas of the building, fixing any issues with the games, cleaning up spills, Chuck-E making rounds taking pictures with the kids, heck the manager was even back there pumping out pizzas. It's true, Chuck E Cheese has lost a lot of its magic without the animatronics (spoken like a true geezer) but it's still a great place for my kid to play games and the addition of the trampolines and playground are a game changer, she really gets to burn some energy. Used to go to the location in Stockton when I was a kid. Now I take my 2.5 year old here in Modesto weekly. Purchased the membership because it's honestly a good deal, unlimited visits, 250 DAILY points & 50% off most food!! I only wish they had an extra membership for the trampoline zone or even include it in the gold plans it's $15 every time we go because it's a must for our toddler which sucks. People say Chuck E. Cheese is gross and sticky. I went for the first time last week and let me just say, I've been completely surprised. The staff are next level amazing. Especially the two managers I met and this nice lady at the front counter. There's a current promotion where you get 50-250 games a day for 2 months straight for one flat fee. And my account keeps not registering different parts, but the staff and really gone above and beyond what you have come to expect from retail employees these days. They make sure I still get what I paid for every time. I even brought my son back the next day because he had so much fun and the employees were so helpful. That's so rare these days. The main gaming area and tables were very clean. The bathroom was disgusting the one time I used it. Over a span of 2 visits we ordered a pizza, a huge cookie, some drinks, dippin dots, and some ice cream. All were very fresh. The only one that we didn't care for was the huge cookie. Not very tasty. I did one of the cashiers if they offered military discounts because I wanted to order some pizzas that than the ones that were already provided at the party - but the cashier said no. I went on the Chuck e cheese website and it specifically states that they do have packages for military, such as the Alpha or Bravo packages. The pizzas were greasy and delicious and the salad bar was always stocked up with fresh items. I also liked the big cookie, it was moist and the chocolate chips were perfectly melted. This place has been remodeled! They now have a trampoline (52" and below height requirement) you can't be over 52" which is good for little ones safety while jumping but my 11 year old was a little bummed out to be too tall. Either way, we had so much fun tonight on 2/27! All the employees on shift this afternoon were happy to be at work and super friendly/helpful! All the machines were in working order, the salad bar was well stocked, the food came out in a timely manner and it was delicious! They have new menu items that we sampled and they were GOOD! The best part was that there were only a few families there and they still brought Chuck out! Now that's true and genuine customer service! Took our grandson today. Had to wait 10 min to get through the gate...that should have been our first clue to turn around and leave. Ordered our food and discovered 12 tables piled with plates/food...garbage containers were overflowing because they were shorthanded. Clue 2. Waited 15 min for a clean table. Clue 3. Trampoline area closed because they were shorthanded. 3 separate people commented they were shorthanded...yet these 3 people seemed to have time to gather and chat. Walked into the Chuck E. Cheese. I'm still happy that it's still up. I got greeted upon arrival there was a little bit of a wait. I ordered a #5for pizza which came with for beverages. Pizza is always great! It never disappoints. Love a good thin crust! Makes coming here that much better! My two year old son loves to come here for its new trampoline! But being that today I had more time for our visit I bought him a play card. He was enjoying his first ride when our food was up and as soon as I brought him down I left our play card behind. We ate our pizza, I was bummed but figured he still had his wrist band for the trampoline and we've gone without play time before so he'd be okay. But I decided it wasn't fair that because of my mistake my son was going to not play games or ride those rides with the flashing lights so I went up to buy a new play card. Here are some of my thoughts / observations on our first visit when we visited last Saturday evening on Jan 8, 2017: 1) many of the games were broken or under repair. 2) Employees are very friendly and helpful. An employee stopped working on a machine to answer all my questions on how their game cards worked. He answered all my questions clearly. Because of his professionalism, I purchased 2 cards at $15/each (900 credits total and each game is about 10-15credits per use). One of my game cards broke from one of my kids and another employee quickly and kindly replaced it with another card. 3) Customers here are so messy as food and trash are all over their tables while they are out on the floor playing video games with their kids. 4) lots of kids here coughing and sneezing and I didn't see any employee cleaning or wiping the machines the entire 2 hrs we were here. 5) redemption center staff were very friendly and they are gracious to give you prizes that are obviously much more than you can afford with your kids measly sum of tickets that they won. 6) despite that It's crowded in here, there are still many vacant tables. 7) bathrooms are pretty clean. 8) I'm glad they use the invisible-stamping-child-protection-system to fight kidnapping. read more

This is so sad that I am writing a review for a Chuck e cheese visit, but it had to be done. I am glad they are spending money on a "bouncer," as opposed to working machines. The balloon game, tossing game, baseball toss, skeeball and others were not functioning. There were no out of order signs, but by the third time in 5 minutes trying to find an employee for "reimbursement," I just gave up. This is one place I hate coming for b-day parties. If it's a Friday-Sunday we aren't going. It would be way to packed for me plus most parents don't keep an eye out for their kids. When I was as kid I loved this place, why I don't even know. So we take our little one and it was boring. She ran around form game to game not knowing what to do. After trying incessantly for six months to talk my son out of having his 5th birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese, we accepted our fate, and he had his party there on February 19. I think it's best summed up with a pro/con list: Pro - Easy online booking and editing. I booked several weeks in advance and I probably edited the guest list and add on's 12 to 15 times before the day of the party, which is very convenient when you have people cancelling days before the party (you still have to pay for no show's on the day of your party...we had one, I'm not happy with that friend for not giving me a heads up!). Con - Do not go here if you are claustrophobic or scared of unusually large and creepy looking animatronic characters (side note: other than the updated Chuck E. suit they dress their employee up in, I don't think the "band" on stage has changed since I had my own birthday party there in the 80's). Pro - My son was in heaven. The expensive, loud, crowded party was priceless, because he was literally overwhelmed with excitement! Con - The new menu claims to have new and improved everything - I can only speak to the pizza: it was just "okay". Pro - Having a very nice party host who does it all for you. Con - Having a very nice party host who you have to keep reminding to bring you the things you added on or your package included (Birthday medallion, T shirt). But she WAS really nice. Pro - Little credit card passes you swipe to play games. No more gross, germy tokens! Con - How easy it is to lose said credit card pass and be shit out of luck. There's a reason you have to be 18 to get a credit card. In summary, as others said, it is what it is. The lines were so long to redeem tickets so we came home with over 1,000 tickets, and we had a good 900 points left on a card, so we'll have to come back soon for my birthday boy to get his prizes. Hopefully on a less busy week night. This place could benefit from expanding another 10,000 sq/feet or so, but since it hasn't since I was a kid, I won't hold my breath. Adults go to Chuck E. Cheese for one reason, because their kids want to go. After all, Chuck E. Cheese's, is where a kid can be a kid. read more

Okay...so I'm giving Chuck E. Cheese 5 stars on a Wednesday, when they have 1 hour of unlimited play for $14.99 (per person). My daughter now has soccer practice in Modesto every Wednesday and I need to keep my 4 year old son busy! We're 25 min away so I don't want to drive back and forth. Sooo, I found out about this deal and "booms" it's perfect!!! It wasn't busy at all when we got there at 6:45 pm, although at the end of our hour I saw more people in there (nothing major). What I like about this place is that when you first walk in, the adult and the children walking in are both given a stamp (by the employee) on the arm that has the same number. Then the employee let's you go in through the swinging door. The kids have a lot of room to play and run around. There are different machines that are geared towards different age groups. I mean, even us adults can have fun there! The employees working this shift were really friendly, I felt comfortable and definitely enjoyed my time. They have a "all you can eat salad bar" that is around $8 or $9 dollars. I didn't eat but it actually looked good (sadly I didn't get a picture). They have pizza, wings, ice cream and a soda machine...they even have beer (please drink responsibly). Before we can actually walk out through the swinging doors, there is an employee making sure the adult and the child's number match. Super safe, I love that. I have attended various birthday parties here and have always had fun playing the games. Games aside, the food here is just awful. I get it, their audience is primarily small children who have no palate. However, no human should be forced to waste their hard earned money on food not fit for a dog. Supposedly Chuck E. Cheese improved their pizza quality but I have seen no evidence of that. If you do come here, just drink a soda, have some ice cream, and avoid anything else they try and pass off as food. Service here is what you would expect from high school kids who are working their first job, non existent. If you are turning in tickets for prizes on a busy day, be prepared to wait a long time. Secure your belongings in your car. This chuck e cheese has 4 cameras outside and each one only shoots the 2 front doors. Amazingly enough is that two of those cameras are on the side of the building and can't see the front door. I was here for two hours and while I was inside someone was outside breaking into my car. The manager at chuck e was no help at all other than giving me the sheriffs phone number. While you wait an hour for the sheriff to call you back to no avail 3 different transients walked up asking for money. They really need to move this location to a new secure area of town. I rated this a 3 star because I ordered the boneless wing sampler and the wings were somewhat cold for $17 I expected them to at least be warm. But as for the bread sticks they were unecpensive and very good they were very crispy highly recommend them and there only $5. But as we sat there the place got realy stuffy im not sure why so we left im not a fan of stuffy rooms.
