High recommend The Modesto Children's Museum to anyone with kids. I first visited as a teacher with…read moremy PreK/TK aged students during a few yearly class field trips. The kids LOVED the climbing structure and big slide AND the water room. The museum also has a light room where children can manipulate magnatiles and create colorful light projections. There's a shopping/store area where children shop, play in the juice bar area, and ring up customers. The air flow area where children can use air to make beach balls float and color scarves shoot through vacuum tubes and fly. There are a couple areas that alternate themes and activities. There are family bathrooms. There's a low stimulation room if your child needs a sensory break. This room also doubles as a nursing room. Every single employee is incredibly kind and helpful. I loved MoChiMu so much that I got my 1 year old a membership for her first birthday so now are regular and attended our first story time at closing the other night. We mostly stay in the little rainbows area that is specifically for children 0-3. They can climb, play with light projector to make colorful projections on the wall, manipulate the giant colorful light bright wall, read books, or rock or bounce on the other movement toys. The museum is probably ideal for kids when they start crawling and seeking movement to maybe 7/8 depending on the child's interests and developmental age. My baby loved watching other children and listening them talk and play at around 6 months, and now she's climbing all over the little rainbows area and walking around to look at and explore the rest of the museum. Anywho, check it out when you can. Yearly membership's go on sale sometimes too so look out for that. You can also get 4 free tickets once a year if you have an adult library card through the discover and go page.

He was very enthusiastic and you could tell he takes his job seriously. He has a very positive attitude and was very kind when he let us know that we needed to switch tables. He was a big part of making the whole experience a great one. He deserves a big bonus! We miss the animatronics being there but we know most every location has had to remove them. Despite that, it was very full and all the families were having fun. The prices are very reasonable and a good value compared to other family fun spots in the area. We like that this location has been open as a Chuck E. Cheese's for so long. Much has changed but it's still nostalgic. The salad bar and pizza are good.

Be advised that if you plan on having your children enjoy the indoor play area, there is n additional 15$ charge and your child is required to be under 56 inches in height, no exceptions. The pizza smelled and looked amazing and the salad bar and drink station were well kept. All in all, this will probably be my location of choice for future visits. With Gratitude, Vanessa

I went into our trial at GymStars Modesto feeling hopeful and impressed. We left with our 3…read moreyear-old crying and in tears ourselves, despite everything we had done to prepare them for his needs. Before enrolling, I spoke with three different people about my son's AuDHD and support needs. I initially asked about Starbound, which was discontinued during COVID. They plan to bring it back, and someone was supposed to contact me. After more than a week without hearing back, I learned that person was on emergency leave, which I completely understood. At that point, we had no timeline, and staff suggested a trial class. I registered online and received another call asking about his needs. I explained everything again and was assured the instructors would be informed. I repeatedly told my husband how impressed I was with their communication, professionalism, and timely calls. Those interactions gave us confidence in trying the class. When we arrived, the experience was completely different. The gym felt chaotic and overstimulating. We checked in, paid, and were told the instructor would call his name in about ten minutes. There was no gym tour or individual introduction, despite the introductory email describing those steps. This was a class for 3 to 4 year-olds. My son barely 3, has AuDHD, and entered an unfamiliar space full of exciting things. He immediately began to run around. The instructor said things like, "You need to listen," and told him he could not do gym if he did not come over. She reached for his hand, and he recoiled. She was a stranger who had never been introduced to him. Parents were not allowed into the area to help. I understand that classes need rules and instructors must keep everyone safe. But I had specifically called ahead to explain his challenges. I expected that information to shape how he was welcomed and supported. My son admittedly continued running around. Other staff tried to help individually, and I appreciate their efforts. However, they appeared unprepared for his needs and unaware of what we had shared. We took him out early to avoid disrupting the other students. He cried because he wanted to stay and play, asking why he could not play. We were distraught. It broke our hearts to think that leaving could feel like being punished simply for being himself. Afterward, I asked about Starbound at the front desk. The woman was kind, but when she opened his profile, said, "Oh, I see now." His needs appeared to be documented, yet that information did not seem to have reached his instructors. I do not blame instructors for information or training they may not have received. Some are young and have multiple children to support. But GymStars needs to do better with training, reviewing student information, and communicating before class--especially when a parent has gone out of their way to explain their child's needs repeatedly. This was a scheduled trial recommended by staff. There was time to prepare. As an educator myself, I expected, at minimum, a personal introduction and a tour. We plan to return tonight to try the superhero class and see whether it better matches his needs. We still hope for a positive experience and are willing to update this review. Children with autism and ADHD need access to movement and recreation, too. Our son wanted to climb, jump, and play. We wanted somewhere he could do that with support and understanding. No parent should leave in tears while their child cries about wanting to play after working so hard to prepare everyone involved. The care we experienced over the phone needs to carry through to the children on the gym floor. Update: After posting this review, the gym called, and Niki went over their current Starbound availability with me. We discussed whether the superheroes class would be a good fit for my son and decided to wait until January to enroll him, when Saturday availability opens. They also credited the trial fees to his account for future use.

The slushie machine was all watery syrup. The vanilla & chocolate ice cream was also watery. My niece and granddaughter both went to make an ice cream cone, only to have their clothing sprayed by the machine. No cups were clean for drink machines and there was no ice in the machine. When i spoke with the manager on shift of all the food buffet issues, she said we are working on it. For the amount of money families spend for their child to have fun or a great bday, this issues should be addressed immediately. I can understand one issue but several all at once is a lack of management and operations. Noone apologized or even acknowledged the complaints. There were several upset customers. Arcade area was poorly ran. The hosts were rude and impatient with the kids. We paid for the laser tag to be part of the bday package. Yet we were unable to get anyone to open it up. We waited for an attendant to come and no one showed up. The reason...they were short staffed and are doing their best to open each ride as it permits. We should've been refunded. District manager really needs to pop in and see how this place is ran.

I found it at utopia and ended up getting the zombie version and red dead two also. I went back to return the copy I purchased from laughing crow but asked if I could exchange it for some enamel pins and cleaning the discs I bought instead of a refund since utopias disc cleaner wasn't working.
