I want to start with this being our first time coming and only had enough money to get our two…read moregrand daughters in to skate, they don't offer anything to help beginners. in fact they charge 5.00 to rent the homemade stabilizers they built at home. unfortunately we didn't know this isn't provided with the admission. when I asked to talk to someone about helping our 5 year old with a stabilizer, they sent Bryce (he looked older than the building) I told him our situation and I offered literally our last two dollars from the change we got from admission, he said Nope, its 5.00 and that's when I said can't u help us by lowering the fee. Bryce(old sweaty dude) rudely said it's 5.00 or u get nothing, I couldn't believe he wouldn't do anything for a 5 year old little girl. Sadly she hurt her knee trying to skate without a stabilizer, we will not be coming back, the way our granddaughter was treated was unacceptable over 3.00, times are tough but that decision to not help us was beyond rude. it's also dangerous for beginners of any age that cannot afford one of there rented stabilizers, I think the safety of our childeren should be considered and exceptions should be accommodated. Bryce (out dated owner)was just rude and we will not spend another dollar in this rundown skating stink, thanks for breaking a little girls heart and knee over 3.00 that you charge renting something that should be included with admission. what happened to the safety of the kids, money is more important if you ask Bryce (old stinky owner), this place really sucks and should accommodate the less fortunate for there safety in certain situations, wouldn't cost them nothing, heartless world we are in,SAD

Spent $53 for 3 tickets. I had just taken the girls a few days prior to skate at Modesto on ice as we live in Modesto but they were sold out at the time we wanted to go so decided to come here instead. As soon as they got on the ice they said that it was really hard to skate because the ice was very melty and also complained that their feet hurt really bad. They were on there for less than 5 minutes. Mind you they skated 2 days prior at the other place for a full session just fine so it was kind of weird that their feet hurt and wanted to leave. I asked if I could get a refund. They were adamant that I could not and that I could change the tickets for another day. I went ahead and did that but my girls refuse to go back there and keep asking if we can just go to Modesto instead. The supervisor I talked to stated that Modesto uses the same skates and that he recommends wearing thick socks because the ice skates aren't made for comfort. I don't know if that is true or not or if maybe the skates were old or too new but whatever the case my kids don't want to go back. Since I can't get a refund, I guess I'm out $53. I don't think that is right. They should be more understanding especially when kids are involved. I could see if they skated for half an hour and then said their feet hurt but they literally didn't even skate at all. Thumbs down!

It's a fantastic way to get involved in a group sport, enjoy some skating with friends or loved ones, and/or be a spectator - in their stadium cushioned seating. I watched my husband play a game here recently and it was a blast. There is a decent amount of seating, as well as a snack bar on certain nights. My favorite aspect of High Country though -was their incredible vending machines. They truly have everything in them. From old school favorites like nerds, to classic chocolate bars, and much more. This place is a wonderful local family run business. I highly suggest you check out their website and event schedule to figure out games to enjoy/and or days to stop on by to skate it up. Trust.

The ice is pretty sturdy, and the railing around the side is safe for all the beginner skaters out there (like myself) who spend the first ten minutes stubbornly clinging to the edge from fear. There's also a lot of bucket towers provided that beginner skaters can use to lean on while they skate. I liked that there were two medium-sized rinks, so you could easily transfer from one to the other if the rink you're on had too many people zooming around. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, and overall it was a great experience! (Skate rentals are $5 and entry is $10)

They have to do a little bag search and go through a small metal detector for safety. They have one person giving out the rentals to people and run the toy tables. You were able to get quads or in line skates. We pretty much just claim a table to put your stuff there. The rink is pretty big. They have neon lights and music playing. There was a lot of adults and kids skating around. They also had padded rails for the rink. We had two large pizzas, two pitchers of soda, and chicken fries. The food was pretty good and had big portions for 7 of us, but it did take a little while for the food to come out and it was kind of pricey. They had little mini arcade games which was fun for the kids. We event got a small little toy which was only $8. It is definitely a fun place for all ages.

There is an incredibly rude and hostile staff member at the Bike/Raft rentals. She never gave us…read moreher name (because she never deigned to speak to us), so I'm going to give you a physical descriptor so others can avoid her, or if you've had a similar experience with this person, I encourage you to leave reviews as well so Yosemite can reconsider having her as a staff member: she appears to be a light-skinned Black woman in her 20s, with locs that are about shoulder-length. She wears dark sunglasses most of the time, and she is overweight, maybe about 5'4 or 5'5. We had several encounters with her both together and separately, and each time she was extremely rude to us for no apparent reason. In one instance, I approached the bike rental and waited politely for her to finish a conversation with a colleague. She never once acknowledged me except to yell at me "EMPLOYEES ONLY" at which point it was her colleague who talked to me and answered my question. She continued to ignore me, not making any eye contact and just standing there while her colleague spoke with me. It was awkward and off-putting, but I put it out of my mind. But then it became a sustained pattern of behavior. In one instance, my cousin went to the bike pick up area to ask bike rental questions. . The rude staff member in question rolled her eyes at my cousin and huffed and puffed under her breath, unprovoked, at my cousin's polite question. She again did not try to answer or talk with my cousin; instead another staff member tried to answer my cousin's questions but also said she wasn't usual bike staff so she didn't know. The rude staff member was there the whole time, and never tried to answer my cousin's questions, even though the rude staff member IS a member of bike rentals because I saw her manning the rentals EVERY DAY. We had a few more encounters with this staff member and she NEVER directly made eye contact with us or spoke to us directly. She would ignore us outright and the only time ever directly spoke to us was to yell at us for trying to ask questions (god forbid I ask a staff member a question). I did notice she answered questions politely and joked around with a group of White guests. I don't know if she has something against Asian folks but I honestly can't figure out why else she would have such an automatic and sustained hostile attitude towards us except for that. If she feels annoyed by doing her customer service job, if polite questions annoy her, she should reconsider her job and go be a ranger on an isolated station or something, and save the rest of us from having to interact with her grouchy ahh.

Fun for kids, but not for parents. Kiosk opens at 8am, but families are queued up before 7am to get…read morerafts or bikes. Only one person at cash register, so the line looks like it could take about an hour to pay. If you get a bike, only one person there too, so you wait another 30 minutes or so to get a bike. If you raft, you need to go 30 minutes early for safety briefing that lasts maybe 5 minutes. They tell you to stop and enjoy the beaches, but get to the raft shuttle back in two hours. We got in the water around 12:05pm and finished around 1:49pm. Then, no shuttle came to take us back until around 3:17pm. That was almost 90 minutes waiting around with kids and no water. Better bring sneakers with you and be prepared to walk back 2.5 to 3 miles to Curry Village. Don't believe Aramark if they say you can also take the free shuttle. The families left stranded by the raft shuttle waited 90 minutes for those too. Most of those were so full, they only took two of the 30 people waiting at the four mile stop, or drove past without stopping. The shuttle driver didn't have a phone or radio. Customer service from the contact us page was no help. They called back after 30 minutes, then put me on hold for another 15 minutes. The manager Skye wouldn't talk to the families who were left stranded. She sent four other people (two at the shuttle area and two in Curry Village) to talk to us, but not help us. They wrote down her email address and told us to email her.
