Disgusting and rude. The owner told me all about how I was wrong about his hours which are posted incorrectly. You have to pay just to get in to watch your kids while being yelled at by management ...and fully disgusting and should be visited by code management .

People skate if

It's terrible the floors are broken the owner is rude and it stinks in there I would not suggest going there

Great people and friendly environment. Best you could get from a town like Merced. Nick and Bryce are great.

This is my home, I've become a regular and have only been greeted by the people working as family. Nothing but love and roller skating (:

Wore down building but still fun to go. Had no issues with management or rudeness. Skates are smelly tho.

Fields of Ice - Christmas Trees Flocked

The good: very cute place, tons of parking, restrooms, snack bar…read more The bad: no refunds, uncomfortable skates, melty ice. I brought my 2 daughters and 1 friend to skate here a few days ago. Spent $53 for 3 tickets. I had just taken the girls a few days prior to skate at Modesto on ice as we live in Modesto but they were sold out at the time we wanted to go so decided to come here instead. As soon as they got on the ice they said that it was really hard to skate because the ice was very melty and also complained that their feet hurt really bad. They were on there for less than 5 minutes. Mind you they skated 2 days prior at the other place for a full session just fine so it was kind of weird that their feet hurt and wanted to leave. I asked if I could get a refund. They were adamant that I could not and that I could change the tickets for another day. I went ahead and did that but my girls refuse to go back there and keep asking if we can just go to Modesto instead. The supervisor I talked to stated that Modesto uses the same skates and that he recommends wearing thick socks because the ice skates aren't made for comfort. I don't know if that is true or not or if maybe the skates were old or too new but whatever the case my kids don't want to go back. Since I can't get a refund, I guess I'm out $53. I don't think that is right. They should be more understanding especially when kids are involved. I could see if they skated for half an hour and then said their feet hurt but they literally didn't even skate at all. Thumbs down!

Downtown Fresno Ice Rink - Mariposa Winter Village

There is a small ice rink with beautiful lights, it's large enough to skate and have a good time. There are benches and heaters where you can put on your skates. There are no lockers, so don't bring anything you can't carry with you. They have a max number of tickets they sell for each night so the ice rink isn't crowded. There are igloos you can rent for you and friends. There are vendors with hot chocolate and other goodies. There is a beautiful Christmas tree and the back drop is the security bank Building. It's so beautiful. Each night is a theme at the ice rink. We went went on Howard's night, but no one was following the theme. It was fun! There are also skating aids if you need them, they're cute seals and reindeer skate aids. I really hope they continue to do this each year.

I grew up rollerblading and ice skating is damn near the same thing, so my 40+ year old a*s was zooming around all the youngsters haha. For me, it was a little too small, so next time I skate, I am going to hit the actual rink so I can practice an axel or 360 or whatever they call it. Anyway, I still worked up a sweat to the point I took off my sweatahirt and was cruising around in a short sleeve. Someone left a harsh one star review earlier, but I happen to know she had a great time despite the lack of skates and place to put small shoulder bags. All in all, it was fun. We didn't grab any refreshments or cookies, but it seemed like they had a few small food/drink options that you may want during your 90 min time block

I've brought my kids to United Skates several times, and every visit is such a great experience!…read moreThis time I wanted to leave a review because they really do a wonderful job. The process is simple: I checked which session was available, stood in line, signed the waiver before entering, and paid for the session. One thing to note spectators who aren't skating still need to pay a $5 admission fee. Inside, the atmosphere is always lively. The music is upbeat and keeps the kids entertained and having fun. They keep things interactive with activities on the rink like beginner backwards skating, speed races for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced), and even fun games like Red Light, Green Light that the kids absolutely love. Everyone takes turns getting off and back on the rink depending on the activity, which keeps it organized, fun, and engaging. Birthdays are a big deal here too they give shout-outs and host lots of birthday parties every weekend. They've also got food at the concession stand, lockers to secure belongings, and plenty of seating options (front row for rink views or more comfortable bench seating in the back). The arcade games with prizes are another highlight for kids. When you walk in, there's security with bag checks and metal detectors, which adds peace of mind for families. Overall, it's always a fun, family-friendly experience. My kids look forward to coming every chance we get, and it never disappoints. Highly recommend!

I was thoroughly impressed with the staff and coaches. Everyone here at Oak Park genuinely loves hockey and treats everyone, no matter their skill or lack thereof, with absolute respect and kindness. Now my younger son is here at the rink weekly improving his skills and in the Academy program. Heck, even I've taken to the ice and play the amateur bronze league and I love it. So what about the rink and facility? Well, it's been around a looong time and you can tell. There isn't a huge fancy pro shop, gigantic locker rooms, or a snack bar. What there is though, is a brand new rink put in during COVID that has great ice and very good boards. The boxes are nice and clean. The locker rooms are comfy with new benches and storage. Sure, it's not the greatest rink I've been to but it is a very good rink and facility overall. I've visited all the rinks between San Jose and Santa Rosa and what makes this place different is the great staff, people, regulars, and the new rink. If you're looking to just skate, play hockey, learn some skills, or even just watch, I totally recommend stopping in and giving it a try. Prices are much lower than San Jose, Roseville, or Vacaville and the ice is just as solid if not more so.
