The people who run this place need to learn what customer service is. The man is super rude. I had a coupon from CTA and he staight up told me rudely that it wasn't theirs and he had no idea. It was the manner in which he said it that was disgusting otherwise I wouldn't have been so offended. Sorry for not knowing what's been approved by you. They were checking wristbands before we entered the facility. After skating for a tiny bit, they made us all exit the rink and sit or stand some where until they gave us another okay to skate. I came here to have a good time, not to be regulated. Come up a more effect way to run your business. I've been coming here for the past 20 years and it still looks like a rundown building from when I was in kindergarten. read more

Had my youngest's birthday party here and she had a blast. Not many places like this around due to sky high rent and the insurance probably kills the owner. Sure the place has its faults, but we will gladly make the drive from Turlock to Merced on Tuesdays and Thursday nights to skate in their open sessions. read more

Skates are dirty, and very smelly. Employees are rude to the kids who go there but act nice around adults. Very dirty. Also very expensive. I would not go there again because it is very expensive and my experience was unpleasant for the amount I paid to get in. Flashing lights, don't go if you are sensitive to that type of stuff. This place was a well keeped and beautiful place back in the 80s & 90s .I spent some of the best time of my life her skating and playing hockey. Most of the repairs that need to be made is probably due to use sorry to the owner. I'm sure its been real hard to keep the place up sense it is pretty old. and the majority of kids don't go skating like our generation did, due to the new techno era, As to the staff and owner I haven't met more nicer people. The owner hires youngsters and gives theme a starting work ethic so some folks mite be put off by there lack of experiences but he dose a good service to the youngsters in the community. Most all kids will have a blast no mater the conditions. So go and have a good time and keep the kids off the street and off the web or TV. Its a safe place for a kid to be. read more

Love skating, but PLEEEASSEEE let's do a carwash or something to upgrade this place. I almost fell on the not so smooth rink as I skated. Yes, Roller Derby is cool, but their ac isn't working so who wants to sit in the heat watching the game? Evenings at the roller rink used to be an awesome way to spend a Friday night. Parents, beware if you are dropping your kids off for skate night with their friends. The adult staff will not do anything for a child in an emergency. My son fell and broke his arm and the staff did not check on him or offer any assistance whatsoever. His friends asked for an ice pack and notified the staff that a child was injured and the adults couldn't be bothered to leave the counter to go check on my child. When I arrived to pick him up the staff I asked why no adults had checked on my son and was met with a huff and an eye roll. The complete lack of empathy and any sort of acknowledgement from the staff that they should have at least LOOKED at the kid with a broken arm is astounding. I can forgive the shabbiness of the facility, being a small business owner is a difficult position in a small town, BUT have a heart and at least go check on the kid with a broken arm while he waits for his mother to pick him up. read more

Haven't been here in 20 years and this place looks horrible!! I used to have a lot of fun here as a kid and now my children want to come here and I really don't want to take them. I'm appalled that local schools have skate nights and field trips to this place. The ceiling is moldy and rotten. The sinks in the filthy restrooms don't work, (the least they could do is make sure to have soap, running water and papertowels for you after experienceing the horror that is their toliet ). Most of the benches are broken and the ones with missing seats just get a cone put over the broken part. About 90% of the rental skates look like they're 20-30 years old with holes in the toes and broken laces. The rink is uneven and everything you touch feels sticky and grimy! They have a snack counter but after seeing the rest of the facilities I wasn't to anxious to try the food. What I don't understand is why this place looks the way it does. They were packed today, they HAVE to be making a profit, but whoever is in charge is seriously mismanaging the funds. I wonder how often the county health dept inspects this place, it's a wonder they haven't been shut down!!. It would be great to see rollerland as a nice, clean, safe place for our children to hang out and have fun. Hopefully they can turn things around. read more

I had a private birthday here and it was pretty expensive for 2 hours and rollerblades weren't included in the price, which sucked, but the nostalgia of being back in the skating rink after so many years made it worth it. I like that we were able to bring our own food there and they cleaned up after. It was so hot in there, the fans did had going not do justice. They have some arcade games and a pool table for the non-skaters. This is the only skating rink in the Merced area and it is pretty run down and their service isn't the greatest. Their hours are not listed online so I didn't know when to call to book. When I did book, it took about a week to get everything sorted out since they responded to my calls on a two day average. I was told when I booked that I could make a playlist of any music to be played, but the day of the party, the owner argued with me saying I needed a CD. Luckily, the DJ was able to play most of the music on my playlist. I would probably never do a private party here again because it's expensive, or go back here again since it's so old, hot and run down, but it was nice to be back in a skating rink. read more

Time to invest in the place and do some upgrades. The same blue carpet on the walls from 1980.. something, the same floor with crappy patch jobs, the same seating, the same roller skates and lockers.The man working the box office was a total and complete assmonkey, yelling at people because they would say "two adults and one kid" he said there is a difference between adults and parents!.. well maybe in Merced? Total rude jackass, one way to solve this lame misunderstanding would be to... oh I don't know HAVE A SIGN MADE listing prices and ages etc. Then there is the son or whoever who drives his junk bucket pick up like a douche bag in the parking lot near the line of children and families waiting to get in. The woman owner (?) didn't have much more personality. It's like hello people you have a goldmine, imagine if you actually took pride in it, invested a bit into to and let's not forget watch some YouTube videos on customer service... or how to talk to people in general.
