I would rate a 10 star if I could but this app only lets me do 5 stars. And after the tour you can buy your photo with them at the gift shop for you and your group which is super awesome. I know on you tube theirs a few videos that show the expedition tour but I myself can't even fit in those tight spaces let alone deal with the claustrophobia and fear of heights this was a good and safe tour for me. Visited Storyland for the first time in a couple years (we live in MN). They have made some MAJOR…read moreimprovements to it since then, a huge thanks to "Measure P" for that. I used to come as a child, and this place has come a long ways since then. There are a dozen or more little exhibits of childhood nursery rhymes (such as Little Red Riding Hood and Jack and Jill), each has a box you can put a key in (mine from my childhood still worked) and hear the story in English or Spanish. All of the boxes we tried worked. Some of the exhibits are just things you look at, some include things like slides or other things for kids to play on. There's also a castle and a pirate ship (one of the new exhibits). There's a train, which costs extra and is ok, but they need to clean up the area it goes through, it could be a lot nicer. There's also a small snack bar. All in all, this is a really great place to bring kids under about 7. It was not busy at all the day we were there, which surprised me because our kids had so much fun!

Cutting down the stingy nettle would have been better also as well as having photographers on the trail to take photos. I was shocked to learn there wasn't people there taking photos to sell online after. I mean they were charging for every other little tiny thing so they should do that also. Most races I e ever paid to do includes a shirt so to pay 50 dollars per ticket and not get a shirt was shocking. It was ok but definitely the worst mud run compared to the many others I've done in the past- and I've done many in several states. Add more water and mud if you're going to call it a mud run.

After 5, the trick or treating started, with stations set up all over the park. The kids loved it. The thing that surprised me the most was how beautifully landscaped this park is, with loads of trees providing tons of shade, flowers everywhere, a body of water in the middle of the park. Even the kids commented on how nice it felt. My biggest complaint would be the cost of food items, but it's to be expected I guess. Either way, we hope to return soon.

Gilroy Gardens is a hidden gem. It is tucked far away from the freeways and there is nothing around…read moreit, not even shopping centers, hotels or even a gas station. Admission is quite steep but if you have a Great America gold pass, you can enter the park for free. Parking is $25 and up. Just as the name suggests, Gilroy Gardens is filled with beautiful gardens in every corner. You'll find the prettiest flowers, super tall trees, bamboo, a variety of plants, and so much more landscaping all around. And of course, there are the fun rides! I have gone to Gilroy Gardens a few times now and I enjoy the roller coasters, the ferris wheel, the train, and the paddle boat. However, the paddle boat moves painfully slow. A short line could be deceiving. It can take 1 hour or more. I wished they added more boats or make the process more efficient. The food at the park is delish! Head over to the grill restaurant near the water park for freshly grilled corn, chicken skewers and corn in a cup. I love the churros here more than at Great America. The churros are perfectly soft on the inside and lightly crispy on the outside. And you can't be hanging out in Gilroy without having some Gilroy garlic fries! The garlic fries right by the paddle boats is so good! The fries are crispy and are not soggy at all. If you ever want to enjoy a relaxing day on a train, lake, boat, eating delicious foods and snacks, I highly recommend Gilroy Gardens!
