Can't recommend enough regardless if your kids is just learning the sport and playing rec, or if your kid is playing at highest level in HS or travel ball. The best part is the one for little kiddos is all covered by tree cover. It's entirely shaded-the swings the slide all of it!! No other park has that! Lol. This review is for Summer Camp run by this facility…read more Parents -- please read this before booking a camp here. This was one of the most unprofessional and disappointing camp experiences we've ever had. My kids attended the baseball camp, and even though they're usually easygoing, they came home after the first day saying the camp was "boring." They said they spent a lot of time just watching TV -- which is not what you expect when you sign up for a sports-focused camp. The biggest red flag came during their planned field trip to Tech Interactive. Kids were there on time (between 8:30-9:00 AM), but none of the coaches had arrived. Parents had to step in, calling the coaches (who didn't respond), and eventually reaching the owner. He showed up eventually at 10:00 AM. Thankfully, the parents didn't leave the kids alone, but this kind of mismanagement caused many of us to be late for work and left everyone extremely frustrated. For a kids program, this level of disorganization is just unacceptable. But the most concerning part was what happened when I and my kids shared their feedback about the camp. Instead of listening or showing any accountability, the owner recorded a video of the kids after I left -- without parent's permission -- and sent it to the teen coaches. Those high school-aged coaches then showed that video to other campers, and our kids were blamed by their peers for "ruining TV time." When one of my sons asked to practice pitching, he was told he cannot, and when the other coach asked why, he responded by saying "Because he ruined it". That's not just poor judgment -- it's inappropriate and damaging. We emailed the owner expressing how wrong this was. He only replied to say that the video shouldn't have been shown to other kids -- but completely ignored the fact that he made and shared the video in the first place. That's a serious violation of privacy and trust. It's fine to have high school helpers, but they need to be properly trained and supervised -- and clearly, they weren't. When the leadership sets such a poor example, it trickles down. We pulled our kids out early and will not return. If you're a parent looking for a safe, respectful, and well-run environment for your child, this is not it. I truly hope this helps another family avoid the experience we had.

Just played two rounds at Rancho Del Rey this past weekend, and I have to say, the greens have come…read morea long way since April and the practice putting greens actually have grass, which is a huge improvement from when I first played here a year or two back! Aside from the greens, the tee boxes and fairways were in great shape too. There's some dead spots, but honestly not to bad for a public course. The course itself isn't super challenging and if you miss left/right off the tee, your ball is still findable. All the par 5s are reachable in two shots, which makes the opportunity for eagle chances a lot higher. It was a course the perfect course for me coming off a couple of bad rounds to get my confidence back. Final score -2 for 18 holes is one of my personal best ever. Even on the weekend, there were some no-shows, so we got to play with just two of us. The pace of play is slow at times because from what I saw, there were a lot beginners on the course, but honestly, people were really nice about letting us play through so it didn't end up that bad on time. The weekend rate is now $65 with a cart per person, $45 if you are walking. They are going through a renovation of the restaurant but they still offer drinks and some food. The drinks are well priced compared to the Bay Area. I think 4 beers came out to $20ish, which is solid for a golf course. They have a beverage cart that goes out, and they come around often. Booking a tee time is pretty easy if you are a group of 2 or 4. If you are a solo golfer, you won't be able to book a tee time online. You'll have to do it the old fashioned way by calling the pro shop. I called the day of, and they were able to get me a tee time that day no problem. I'd check their website first to see what's available before calling.
