Quantum Escapes!! - Six people, including children and adults, stand in front of a wall with notes at Quantum Escapes, an escape room business. They are dressed in costumes such as pirate, knight, and wizard, and hold signs and props, including a sign that says 'It's my birthday' and a 'Professional Escape Artists' sign. The background features a large sign with the Quantum Escapes logo and name. The group appears to be celebrating a birthday with themed costumes and props.

When I first found this spot I wasn't sure what to expect. I had only done an escape room one time and that was a disaster. But this spot definitely changed my mind! Quantum escapes was so fun and immersive! Shout to our game master William for being so detailed and explaining the rules of the game! I can't wait for their new room to open up in a few months. We will definitely be coming back to try another room!

The image shows a wall with multiple handwritten notes on tiles, including names, dates, and phrases related to an escape room experience. Prominent notes include 'The Escape Gods,' 'Three for Three,' and various names like Chris, Kristi, Logan, David, and Stephanie. Dates such as 01-02-23 and 12-21-22 are visible. The writing appears to be in black marker on a light-colored tiled surface.

Some of the best escape rooms that our group has experienced; the staff is super helpful and the room designs are second to none. Hard to pick a favorite room because they are all so much fun!

This is when we finished the room - Three women stand together in front of a wall with a large sign reading 'Quantum Escapes,' an escape room business. They hold signs, one reading 'It's my birthday' and another 'We did it.' The woman in the middle wears a crown and a cap, indicating a celebration. The women are smiling and dressed casually, suggesting they have completed an escape room challenge at the venue.

A good sized team is a must. It was a really great local choice for a fun night with our teens! The staff was very accommodating when I sent an email requesting a later time slot due to unexpected circumstances earlier in the day we had booked.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and hyped us up for the challenge. The room itself was cleverly designed, with puzzles that made us think, work together, and argue (lovingly) about whose fault it was when we got stuck. The clues were challenging but fair, and the props and environment made us feel like we were in an actual prison trying to break out. We loved the variety of puzzles, and the staff gave just enough hints to keep us moving without spoiling the fun. We didn't escape in time, but we had so many laughs along the way that it didn't even matter. Everyone from the adults to the kids had a role in solving something, and it was awesome to see everyone working together. If you're looking for a fun, interactive, and memorable way to spend time with family or friends, book the Prison Break room at Escape Modesto. We'll definitely be back to try another room soon, this place is a gem!

Our game was the pirate themed Depths of Osiris (check out the preview vids on YouTube), and it was perfect for a team of an adult and two ten year olds. My boys had no trouble getting used to the VR gear they had to wear for the experience (a headset and two hand controllers - it was their first time). We had to cooperate to solve each room's puzzle to unlock a new room. Eventually, we got to the final scenario which was exciting and really required us to collaborate. The puzzles were well constructed and mostly understandable from a logic perspective. The graphics and sound were pretty decent (it's not super-high res like Cyberpunk) and matched the gameplay perfectly. We got some timely tips from the game master too, and cleared the puzzle with about a minute left on our 45 minute timer. The facilities are super clean and well maintained. They also have snacks and drinks which are nice to make the visit special for younger kids. My sons want to come back, and I do too. I also heard they are adding a physical escape room, so definitely something to look forward to.

I've been to Diablo Escapes twice now and have always been impressed by the customer service. Make sure you get there 15-20 minutes early so you have time to finish any waivers and get your packs set up for the room. There is an adjacent parking lot so you shouldn't have any issue finding any spot. You can easily book online and see what difficulty level each game is. If you've done VR or escape rooms before, you can probably start with intermediate. Each game will require some communication and teamwork to solve challenges or other puzzles. It can get a little hectic, so make sure you mesh well with your group (truly). The VR component really makes you feel like you've been transported to another place - be warned that it can make you feel a little queasy if you're not used to it, but the staff are great in making sure you are comfortable. They're quick to help troubleshoot if you get stuck or anything. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun group outing. We went over to philz coffee after and then went to Bare Bottle Brewing for some lunch and drinks.
