Went above and beyond to help us every step of the way. She even had a candle and lighter when we forgot ours, I can't say enough about her, she was amazing! But it seems this policy only applies to certain individuals and dare I say possibly only to individuals with a certain skin color. The photo they use as an example of acceptable vs. unacceptable hair length shows a picture of a girl with her hair below her waist. My sister's hair was right above her waist and they denied her the ability to ride the go-carts. She had even arrived to Funworks with her hair in a bun. They made her remove it so check the length. Which like I mentioned before wasn't below her waist This policy seems highly unfair and very discriminating. And to make matters worse, the go-carts are prob the slowest go-carts in the nation. All the fuss about their strict policy to then be disappointed with the 2 mph go-carts. Save yourself the headache, embarrassment (if you have long hair), and money. Go to Boomers instead!

Not like I've been to a lot of bowling alleys but here's some of my key takeaways from this place…read moreand how I'm swayed towards giving them a better review than maybe they deserve. 1) they have a summer pass that gets you 2 free games a day, free shoe rental, $5 worth of arcade credits a day and 10-15% off of food and drinks (non alcoholic). I got the premium and that's around $66 or so. 2) they have a ton of lanes and we have never had to wait. 3) the food, at least the pizza, is pretty decent considering it's a bowling alley. They also have a pizza and pitcher combo (non alcoholic or beer) that's pretty reasonably priced. Now here's some of the downsides: 1) there's been service issues in the past in terms of us ordering and then the kitchen not getting the order. Also some common sense issues. Like they were offering free drinks to summer pass holders and they only gave us 1 drink for free even though there were 2 summer pass holders. It's not that hard to just give us the 2nd drink and not put it in the system as a charge (at least I wouldn't think?). We didn't fight it because we didn't want to be difficult. 2) It seems like 1/3 to 1/2 of the games in the arcade are partially or completely broken and/or out of order. 3) A lot of the balls have like cracks or chunks missing and some of the lanes mess up the pins from time to time. They probably deserve a 3/5 but the summer pass is have to say bumps them up to a 4.

The customer service was top notch, and the children loved the food. They had a lot of fun bowling and playing games together. My hostess Deja( spelling) was excellent, and the manager & assistant manager as well. They came to check in on our party to make sure we were taken care of. They take care of EVERYTHING!!! Where to start?!?!? First of all, it costs $20 per car per…read moreday to park here. You would think that people staying at the hotel would get free parking. 3 Nights cost me $60 to park. The hotel is huge, the wait time to sign in are very long! We rented the "Grizzly Bear" suite - it's a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom, with living room and a pullout queen sofa bed. We had 8 people in our group, 3 are 2yr old infants, we brought our own air mattresses for 2 of the kids. The cost for this room was about $400 per night; we stayed 3 nights. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom in the king room was big, the other bathroom was small. The indoor waterpark area is crowded and was probably over capacity. If you don't reserve a cabana (Which cost $350 per day), you may not get a place to sit. There must be 3,000 chairs in this place - every one of them was taken. They have a short, lazy river, there is a kids splash pad, a kid's water slide - you need to be a certain height to go on the slides. There are water slides for older kids, there are large water slides for older kids and adults, there is a wave pool and a regular pool. Outside is a large pool that we did not get to use. If you don't have towels, they lend you towels, but you need to sign them in and out. If you lose one, they charge it to your room. Be prepared to wait long times to do some things like miniature golf, the arcade, to order food, get on the elevator, etc. - there are a lot of people here, it is very busy. In the main lobby they have a little dance party for the little kids at 6PM every night. There are human critters walking around and interacting with the kids. Inside there are things to play, miniature golf, a ropes course, arcade. There are a few places to eat, they are very expensive. (Pizza, pasta, hamburgers, corndogs, ice cream, candy) and then there is the Barnwood restaurant that is only open at night. For breakfast, they have a buffet - terrible food! and it cost $28.99 per person - but it is all you can eat. P.S. the food lacks flavor and quality - yuck! There is also Dunkin Donuts - they have dry donuts, and terrible coffee. One thing you need to know is they do not accept cash here. You wear a wrist band which is attached to either a debit card or credit card which these are connected to your room number. You use the wrist band to unlock your room door, and to exit and enter the parking lot. If you want dinner, swipe your wristband, want to buy a gift or toy, swipe your wristband. It is a great idea. Every staff member is friendly and kind. They all say hello to you, and if you need assistance, they help you. The waitresses in the Barnwood restaurant were very good, friendly, fast, and accurate. They don't take cash to pay for things, but we left several tips in cash - they deserve it. PLEASE tip your waiters/waitresses. We tipped the room maids by leaving money on the bed when we checked out - they do a fantastic job on keeping the rooms fresh and clean. If you want something else to do, there is a Bass Pro shop about 2 miles away, we also went to a Black Bear Diner about 5 miles away. There is not much else fun stuff to do in Manteca. Overall, it was a good place to go and stay. We will go back, maybe in the off season when kids are in school.

It's gotten to the point where I expect bad service, but last night really pushed it over the edge. We came in for my brother's birthday after I got off work late. There were 8 of us total, but only 6 people actually wanted to bowl. Simple enough, right? I asked the employee how many people were allowed per lane, and he said 5. So I explained that we wanted 2 lanes--3 people on each--and that I would pay for one lane while my brother's friend would pay for the other. For some reason, this turned into a whole unnecessary issue. He immediately got argumentative and told me "you can't just get one lane," which made zero sense because we were literally getting two lanes--just splitting the payment between two people. Instead of just processing it like a normal transaction, he was rude, impatient, and acted like I was asking for something completely unreasonable. I genuinely don't understand why it had to be so complicated. We weren't asking for anything special--just to pay separately for two lanes. Isn't that the whole point? Taking money from customers? Between the attitude, the lack of basic customer service, and how unnecessarily difficult they made everything, this place just isn't worth the hassle. There are plenty of other bowling alleys out there that actually treat people with respect. I won't be coming back. Is everyone that works here an ass?
