The waiting room is small and bathroom keys were on hilariously large paddles. Bathroom is in a separate part of the building. Our first game master was to-the-point and after we told him that we had done a lot of escape rooms in the past, he went over the basics and had us going. One thing that is different here (that I kind of like unless you have stubborn friends) is that everyone in your group needs to raise their hand for a clue. Not common at other escape rooms where one person can force a clue. Never got his name and he didn't pester us for a review. Same with the second room game master. Childhood Room 5/5. Was designed well and there were a lot of fun and intriguing puzzles that our group enjoyed going through. We had gotten stuck at a silly point as we had just not seen a puzzle piece in the shadows and towards the end as our game master had left for a few minutes to start a second group (he told us and maybe he was by himself at that point?) and we thought we were done. We finished the room after one hint and did not make record board. Medusa Room 3/5. A tough follow-up to the Childhood Room. We solved a lot of the puzzles inadvertently and not as intended by accident. Some mechanics required solving at a certain speed which left a bad taste as we had the correct order for the puzzle; we just weren't inputting it fast enough. I think the room was thematically cool but personally just not fun. We finished the room with one hint and did not make record board. A fun experience and hope to be back to try the other rooms!

Boy, was I wrong! I just had a baby not too long ago, so these little outings mean so much to me. For an entire hour, the game completely took me out of reality and gave me the chance to just have fun and be present in the moment. It was genuinely such a fun escape from everyday life. The escape room was challenging but SO much fun, and the level of immersion completely surprised me. Our game master was amazing, with quick and witty jokes that made the experience even better. He was also incredibly thorough with his explanations and made sure we understood everything before we started. We had such a great time and cannot wait to come back and try all the other rooms! Here's a tip: bring a diverse group of people for a mix of strengths, arrive early, and split up into smaller teams to cover more ground. We had ages from 11 - 70 years old. Making the RSVP was easy on their website, including signing the waivers in advance. Entering the lobby, we were warmly greeted by the staff, and there's lockers to store your items. There's also a water dispenser and bathroom available before heading into your escape room. The staff member gave us clear instructions about their rules before walking us to padded room, which was where we started off with in the insane asylum. When we got there, there was nobody in the office. When he finally got back, minutes later, he asked when we could get started. No apologies, no explanation of timing. When we went in the room, my daughter asked if we had unlimited hints. He said no- if she asked for too many hints, he would tell her that she was asking for too much. Every interaction with him was unpleasant and unhelpful. When we got out, he just walked up and said "Want a picture?" I then asked if we made it out, because we just opened the door to a hallway. There was no commentary on the fact that we had made it out, that we had 12 minutes to spare, or anything else. Every other escape room we have done has a dedicated game master that seems enthusiastic and walked us through the puzzles at the end. Not this guy. He said yes we made it, took our photos, and walked out. Looks like he might have been the only one working on all of the rooms. So, I guess all of the groups got the same unpleasant experience.
