My youngest who's also in the dance competition team has grown so much, not just as a dancer but the studio has taught her discipline, teamwork and self-confidence. The teachers are amazing and you can tell they love teaching their passion in dancing. Miss. Sabrina, the Jazz teacher is the best, she's always encouraging, supporting and very patient with new dance moves. She pushes her dance team to their fullest potential. We also love Miss. Tajah, Hip Hop teacher, she has the dance energy the dancers feed off of. Everyone in her class always have so much fun. Miss Juju and Teacher AJay- challenges the dancers with fun and unique dance techniques/choreographies. Come check out some the teachers' choreography awards at the studio! And last but not least, Mrs. Margie, the director - throughout the years since we've been there, we've experienced her dedication and commitment to her dancers and the studio. You truly see a dance family growing at JOSDS. Mrs. Margie build special bonds and relationships with her dancers from the start. There are dancers who's been dancing with the studio since they were young dancers and are now older doing dance competitions and are in advance classes. I love seeing my two dancers enjoying and looking forward to their dance classes every week. I definitely see their growth throughout the dance session. The kids are taught a mini dance routine and perform it. They played a musical chairs type game. There was hardly any lag time but a break to get hydrated. The kids had so much fun! Great party especially for girls 8 to 12 years that may have grown out of other themed parties. I had Shake it Up invites so they made a Shake It Up mix and played songs from the show. She came from a traditional play-based preschool, and I was initially unsure about Montessori, but it has been one of the best decisions we've made. The thematic units are thoughtfully planned, and she comes home excited to teach us about continents, animals, science, and so much more. The individualized approach allows each child to learn at their own pace, and she has been able to work well above grade level in math and language. The teachers are wonderful--not only do they provide an excellent academic foundation, but they've also done an incredible job helping my daughter develop emotional regulation and confidence. She genuinely loves going to school every day. They strike a great balance between a rigorous curriculum and fun, engaging activities, and the facility is always clean and welcoming. She loves her teachers, all the art projects and fun events they have all year long. My son just recently started in the toddler program and he is loving being at school too. He comes home singing songs, pointing to colors and counting. He talks a lot about his friends and teachers. We love seeing the pictures of the kids working and doing fun activities each month. Today was our very first day. We did a trial class in the Creative Movement class, which is for…read more2.5-4yrs old. It was adorable and focused on fun. They stretched, did a few ballet moves (1st, 2nd, 3rd positions and Demi-pliés) and then danced in semi-silly, and semi ballet-like ways. It was adorable! The only thing that surprised me was that the dancers are separated from the parents during class. There is a large window where you can watch, but my child is a little clingy so it was an issue. Luckily, they allowed me to remain in the dance area for her comfort, which I appreciated. Then about halfway through, she needed to go potty. Afterwards, I was able to send her in with the other dancers alone. The parent area is HUGE! There are toys to play with, lots of (comfortable) places to sit, and even cold water and soda on sale ($1.00 each). Also, there are Ballet shoes available to borrow for free if you aren't ready to buy your own, or if your dancer forgot yours. The building doesn't look like much from the outside, but I was super happy with what I found inside. Oh! My $10 trial class fee? It was applied 100% to her first month tuition. ($50) Also, my daughter has a physical disability, and wears a brace on one leg. They didn't even bat an eye. Just asked me about what her limitations were. Highly, highly recommend!

The sisters (all three) and staff are pretty awesome and really go out of their way to show you that they care. Our daughter is really advanced for her age and they made sure that they constantly challenged her to keep her engaged. In the 1st grade she was reading at a 5th grade level and LoMo played a big part in that. Although we had a rough patch with our son they worked with us to find a solution. We collaborated on what works and what doesn't work to correct his behavior which is rare from facilities like this. Most of them time at other facilities it plays out like this: your kid is a problem, they did X, you need to punish them to correct it, if it continues we will kick you out. Finding a solution wasn't quick or easy but together we corrected the issue while giving each other constructive feedback along the way. That is honestly why they get 5 stars. I am no pushover and can be hard to work with because I hold people accountable while being blunt. We did use another daycare in Lodi before my son was eligible to attend LoMo and the difference was obvious. LoMo is a school, other places in Lodi for this age group are daycare. They also go out of their way to put on special events for holidays like Halloween and Thanksgiving whole holding lunches and breakfasts with parents. Overall they treat you like family and really care for your kids as if they were their own. What more could you ask for? Thank you for all that you've done! We will miss you!

The teachers are amazing and engage the children daily with activities and structured curriculum. The children take field trips into the community and host presentations to share what they've been learning with their families. All of the teachers and staff have been extremely easy to work with, responsive, caring, and professional. I would definitely recommend this preschool for anyone in need of child care.

When we had our second we anxiously awaited her second birthday so she would be able to attend as well... she has now turned four and both my girls most days would rather be hanging out at school with their friends and their teachers then at home with boring mom LOL... Parvin, Fatima and every other teacher/team member at this school has become true family more than anything else. They have seen us through transitions, the special days, the hard days, and the amazing ones. We have gotten to share every birthday and even my second daughter's adoption. You will not find a more special or dedicated group of people... They give everything that they have to making sure that the children have what they need and are happy, healthy, and are given every opportunity to grow and learn. They have taken every necessitated change during the current pandemic and implemented it in a way that not only are the adaptations satisfied but the children don't feel so scared or overwhelmed by all that is going on. Our youngest even missed the first day of preschool because she wasn't feeling well and the teachers went back just to do the first day project with her just so she would be able to bring it home and have it like everyone else. I always called & the owner Vickie always reassured me and also helped ME get adjusted to leaving my son there. She and Felicia made it easy to call and check up & get updates on him. The teachers there are amazing!! Teacher Karen always sends pictures when she can and is very easy to talk to when it comes to my son and how he's doing. Even though teacher Jill isn't my sons teacher, we always see her and my son loves her as well!! They always have a big smile on their face and my son seems to love them very much! Since he started there, there has been a dramatic improvement on his speech. He probably only had a vocabulary of 10 words. He now knows his alphabets, his numbers, his colors, animals, and their sounds! He always sings the songs they teach him there at school. & I love when he comes home with all the fun activities he does at school. They have water play at times, dress up days & other fun things for the kids. I recommend this place to everyone I know!
