    Dog park

Been coming here since I was little, but now we mainly come for the dog park. It's extremely spacious and has an area for bigger/smaller dogs. The dog park is in its own secluded area, but you can take a nice walk towards it.

Stanislaus River near boat ramp - pups cool their paws

A very nice park on the Stanislaus River in Riverbank. A perfect spot for a picnic, stretch your legs for a walk, get your boat into the river, go for a swim and take your dogs for a walk. I've always enjoyed areas like this - it is very similar to some of the areas I hung out as a teen in the Sacramento area in the summer. Lots of trees to help keep it cooler in the hot summer months. There is a very small off leash dog area - tho I'd advise caution before letting your dog off leash. Several times I have been here before there was a population of feral cats hanging out that my dogs wanted to chase - this time, mid October 2024, I did not see any - but check - the dog area is on the small side but still nice there is a dog off leash area - otherwise your dog must be on a leash. There is a nice play area for young children - though as a boy, I generally would have been more interested in exploring the park, maybe see if any trees were worth climbing and checking out the river - skip stones and the like. You can go swimming in the river - but be mindful of the current / it looks very peaceful but it can surprise you as it did my dog who went swimming and almost disappeared down the river as the current almost pulled her out of the park - as I had to jump into action to grab her before she went past the railroad overpass - river access past the railroad bridge is not so easy as there is no real riverbanks and a lot more foliage. There are picnic table sprinkled about and a big covered area with BBQ areas if you're having a large get together. All in all a nice little park that is a slice of life along the Stanislaus River - great place to enjoy a typical riverine environment of the big valley in California.

Score! Found a great park within a 30-min drive from home! Lots of green grass, picnic tables, BBQ areas, playground and a river! Park is conveniently located right off of Santa Fe Rd South of Escalon. Next time if we plan it better we'll go on Saturday and stop at the Portuguese Bakery in Escalon snd take our loot to the park. Parking is $7 for the day and you're allowed to exit and return with your paid tag. Parking surrounds one side of the park and the river goes down the other side. There were lots of families and the babes loved being out and near kids her age.

My family & I really enjoy this park, especially when they have movie in the park. Jacob Myers has a lot of biking trails, to go for a nice ride next to the River. We have also used the recreational area to hold many events.

I came here to check out the dog park area but apparently the dog park is closed on Wednesdays so I just walked around a bit. Looks like a great area for a picnic, going for a swim or just enjoying the shade of the trees on a hot summer day. There are a ton of feral cats here - so if your dog likes to chase cats - I highly suggest you keep your pup on a leash. The dip park part is NOT fenced in - so it is also where I saw at least a dozen feral cats - so unless your dog is totally chill about cats - I would not take my dog here for off leash activity.

My favorite spot to relax. Cats frequent this area which I love, but I don't recommend if you're scared or allergic to them.

Great place to take the family. Free this time of year. 1 mile paved loop trail. Clean and well maintained. Caretakers live on premises. Dog parks, 1 for small dogs and 1 for large dogs. Restrooms along the trail and also near the playground.

Great family friendly place! Playground for kids, bbqs picnic tables all around the park , nice trail to walk which leads to 2 small dog park areas and best of all playground is near the water.

Absolutely love this park! Such a peaceful place to be. I first went a couple years ago and had my children's pictures taken. And we plan on coming back again soon to take more spring photos i love the trail and the gazebo is so cute! All around a very nice place to hang out. Love that the river runs through. Very nice and well kept.

Really this is a decent sized park for your kids to run around and play at. We had a 'end of school…read moreyear' BBQ here last may for the kindergarten classes and with the coverd gazebo and 2 large BBQ pits and about 8 tables it's worked out well. There are Two baseball fields, surrounding the park that has seating of bleachers but no Kim of shade area. A basketball court, with more mature trees for those that like to watch and hang out and of course the bathrooms. During baseball and softball season the snack bar is open for you to get the usual snack of nachos, drinks, ice real and even a snow cone during those hot Central Valley days. The surronding area is just under a mile around so in the mornings, folks like to walk around the 'track' for some excercise with a friend or alone. Centrally located in the heart of a developed and older neighborhood you can fell safe to do so in the morning and even dawn. I just wouldn't recommend after dark as way to many sketchy type of people like to hang around doing god knows what. Open from dusk till dawn Monday to Friday. Not bad spot being your little ones from some playtime while you sit under the gazebo or find some shade to read a book or watch YouTube videos on your phone. Really wish that The City Of Riverbank would put more thought and care into its surronding and older areas like this park to do more and help make it more family friendly. Crossroads Silva park is beautiful and very well mainted but these smaller parks barely get the attention it deserves to make it flourish the way it could.

We were searching for a decent park with shade to relax at & found this park. Not bad. Nicely…read moredone, covered patio area with tables. Also several benches, some shaded. Seemed to be a quiet, decent neighbourhood too. We needed a place for my 1 1/2 year old to burn some energy! It offered Toddler swings and a small rocket shaped play gym. All in good condition. Also a Play gym for big kids, a tunnel slide and wavy slide. I liked seeing the old school Tire swing they had too ! Not to many parks have those. It was clean, nice pavement, garbage cans to throw your mess and it seemed to be well kept. It must be a notorious area for the local community baseball games too. It had a diamond field and concession stand on site as well. Go Riverbank, City of Action!
