I stayed here for 2 nights the girl who checked me in was really pleasant. The second day upon check out the middle eastern lady called my room phone at 11:30 saying check out is at noon I said I'm aware I still have 30 minutes then she turned around and said it's actually at 11 even tho the app showed it was clearly at 12 she started to then say I'll give you until noon. When I went to check out she started asking more questions and was very rude and judgmental. I've never experienced anything like that in my life while traveling with Marriot and have stayed with Marriot for years.

It was a hot day and after running errands all day. I did not want to cook. My daughter and I decided to try this place out. The hotel is new and looks great. This review is for the restaurant part of the hotel called the Bistro. I ordered a margarita and didn't realize part of the rim was Tajín not salt. I'm not fond of Tajín I wished I was, but I'm just not. I apologized and our bartender/waitress was cool with it. She took it back and made me another one. Oh it was awful it tasted like what gasoline smells like. I had a sip and didn't have another. She never asked if the drink was ok or if I wanted another. I wasn't going to complain or have her try to make me another. I just payed it, I did however enjoy the Cesar salad the croutons are made in house with sourdough bread. My daughter did like her wings, but the carrots were wet not dry like most wing restaurants serve them. All in all I'm glad we tried it, but don't care to come back.

This was my first time being at this hotel. It was very clean and modern. I had the pleasure of being served by Riah at the bistro, and she made my experience exceptional. She was friendly, attentive, and offered the perfect drink recommendation based on what I was in the mood for. Riah's positive energy really stood out, and she made me feel right at home. If you're visiting, definitely ask for her--she'll make your time there even better! I'll be back for sure!

We got a great room, located very close to the pool area. We loved that the hotel was so close to all the American Graffiti festivities downtown. The hotel has a work out room in addition to the pool and a restaurant with a bar. We will return next year and hopefully stay in the same room. The free cookies upon arrival were also a nice touch!

You save $1 by having it as part of your hotel stay. There's a sky bridge on the 3rd floor which helps you avoid the street, which is quite busy during daylight and without any cars at night. I've stayed here twice. The rooms are comfortable and the furniture is in good condition. There's lots of water pressure and the bathrooms are clean. Unfortunately, I had problems with my room's AC on both stays. The first time I was on the hot side of the building and thought it might have been that but it did not get better once the sun went down. Maintenance came, checked the temp and acknowledged the warmth, said they could not do anything and left. On my second stay, the guy thought it might be the curtains blocking the airflow so he moved them and left. It never cooled down. I called downstairs, they brought me a key to another room, and I packed up and moved myself to another room. The next room was definitely an improvement but still not as cool as I like. A bit of a hassle but luckily I wasn't in a rush. Kudos to the front desk for accommodating me in such a drama free way. The warm cookies and free water for those with status already in the room helped. Lol

My King Bed room was so cozy and had all the amenities I could hope for and then some. Next time I'll bring along some microwave popcorn! Each morning I'd head down to the buffet breakfast, and they changed up the protein each morning. I do love those solid scramble eggs that are so common at hotel buffets, but that quiche was delicious too. The waffles were so easy to make and somehow they didn't stick to the waffle iron. I like fool-proof. ;-) The gym is really well stocked with enough equipment for me to get a great mid-day workout. It might get a little crowded if there's more than 2-3 people, but it was empty when I used it. Charging my car was 3x as expensive as I usually pay, but it was convenient, and fast. Lots of free parking. I saw security several times throughout my stay, whether walking around the inside of the building, or driving around the building, so that was comforting. The front desk staff were super friendly, and each morning at the buffet, the attendants always said hello. It's these small touches that really make a difference. I look forward to future stays with SpringHill Suites.

Weird things: 1) bathroom door auto closes, so you must prop it for proper air circulation, 2) bathroom smelled smoky but not sure why. When I checked in, I specifically told the front desk that we had a very small, two-pound Yorkie with us. Nothing was mentioned about a $75 pet fee. Around 1:30 a.m., while I wasn't feeling well, I went downstairs with my dog to purchase a couple of drinks from the lobby market. The employee working the desk then informed me that the person who checked me in was a trainee, that I should have been charged a $75 pet fee, and proceeded to have me sign the pet paperwork--asking me to backdate it to the previous day. I understand hotels have pet policies and fees, and I have no problem paying a fee when it is properly disclosed. My issue was how this was handled. I had been upfront about the dog from the beginning, yet I was made to feel as though I had done something wrong because of an employee training mistake. The facility was good, but the late-night interaction felt rude, uncomfortable, and unnecessarily confrontational. Instead of feeling like a guest, I felt bamboozled and hassled over something I had disclosed at check-in. Better communication and a little courtesy would have made a huge difference.

We go to the back to go out room and a gray pickup had a lady giving head in the back I wish I was joking my 15 yr old pointed it out. We get into the building and kids are in the hallways playing. Go to the room and gnats are flying, floor is wet, phone is unhooked, there are cockroaches crawling, and the most disgusting thing I've ever seen, boogers all over the walls. I literally started gagging when the kids pointed them out!! We go to front desk and I'm like yeah I know you're used to people complaining but can we cancel this reservation to go somewhere else and she wad just like no one ever complains, I don't know anything about the rooms, that I have to call Wyndham if i want any help, so I asked her to please put a note on my reservation and she just goes, I can say you left, like uh this is the least helpful front desk. They have a housekeeping staff, yet the rooms are still dreadful and gross. When I opened the room door, I was instantly shocked and realized this was a BIG mistake. Our room reeked of wet dog and cigarettes. The odor was so prominent and intense that no amount of air freshener was able to mask that pungent nasty scent. This disgusting scent remained throughout our entire stay here. I notified 2 cleaning staff and neither of them were even a bit surprised. One handed me a basically empty can of air freshener that quickly finished. I asked another staff member for an air freshener and she didn't have one and said to go to the front desk. Surprise, surprise the front desk was also out of air freshener so we were stuck with this disgusting smell. This hotel is also situated in an extremely ghetto area. Homeless and questionable people roam the premises 24/7. We regularly kept checking our car to verify if it was broken into yet. I always took all of my valuables with me whenever I left the room because I did not trust this place. The people inhabiting the neighboring rooms also looked sketchy and questionable themselves. Almost always did the parking lot reek of marijuana. Carpets in the room and throughout the building are outdated, dirty, and have black stains on them. The furniture in the room was also stained and filthy and the bathroom sink was atrocious. There was a lot of trash outside the entrance of the building, absolutely nothing in the room looked aesthetically pleasing, and the entire room looked abysmal and had an unsanitary and filthy feel to it. When I pulled open the bath curtain to take a shower, I was greeted by a lovely spider. How fun!!!! One of the most sickening parts about staying here were the nasty white stains on the red sheets below the mattress. (Pictures below) Absolutely gross!!!!!! Definitely an off-putting sight seeing white drips/stains on a bed you're supposed to sleep on. It makes you doubt the competence of the housekeeping staff and highly question the cleaning practices of this hotel. Given the conditions, I'm not sure if they even do the bare minimum when it comes to cleaning. If I can still see dirt and stains in the room, it is not fully clean and should NOT be rented out. How is that such a wild concept? I laid down my own blankets on the bed and pillows and never walked barefoot on the carpet as I couldn't even tell what was actually cleaned or washed in this room. Yes, it was that bad! As expected, I barely got any sleep in this place and I repeatedly kept getting woken up by noise and the insufferable cigarette and dog odor that inhabited the entire room. Just by seeing the condition of the room alone, I didn't even dare visit the pool. The staff are also aloof and apathetic. I voiced my complaints to four different employees and none of them were even a tiny bit shocked or apologetic about what I was experiencing. I'm pretty sure they are used to repeatedly hearing the same complaints and are already immune to anything negative you say. I'm genuinely surprised that this place hasn't been shut down by a health inspector yet. It's both scary and laughable to think that people are paying good money to stay in these garbage rooms, when they should instead be getting compensated for surviving a night here. This is by far the dirtiest and worst place I've ever stayed at. I didn't think any other place would beat my Motel 6 experience but this hotel managed to do it. Whoever owns or runs this establishment should be truly ashamed of themselves. Unfortunately, we rented out 2 nights in advance, but the room was so awful that we ended up leaving a day early and lost the money for one entire night. We were quickly reminded by the rude lady at the front desk that there are no refunds. We were fine with that and just wanted to get out of this dump as soon as possible! That's what this place does to you. Makes you run for the hills. Worst $300 ever spent!!!! Sleeping in your car or anywhere else is a wayyyyy better upgrade than staying at this dump.
