She charged my Wells Fargo Card but screwed me over. Until one of her Co-Workers had to do her Job and make me the Drink she never made.
    Captain C.

Worst Service, ever I had bought one of their Blue Island Lagoon Alcoholic Drinks from one of their Employees the Big Lady. She had knowingly lied about making my Drink. And never made it, she then proceeded to lie to her Co-Workers. About making the drink and serving it to me. One of her other Co-Workers did end up making it for me, though. But had informed me that she was told by the Big Lady she had already made it for me. What Fat Lie.

Spent an incredible afternoon at Boomers and honestly couldn't have asked for a better family outing. The go-kart track was a huge, the karts were well-maintained and the track layout kept things exciting. The mini golf course was beautifully designed. The arcade was fun and the water bumper car were awesome. The atmosphere was welcoming, the facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the staff went out of their way to ensure everyone felt included.

Ask the Community - Boomers Livermore

Does anyone know if Boomers in Livermore accepts Apple Pay? Teenager going with friends and want to see if there is another option other than cash. I tried calling a few times but there was no answer.

They do accept Apple Pay for any transactions of less than $100, but if a transaction is $100 or more, it would have to be split into separate transactions.

Can a teenager with no DL are allowed to drive the go kart?

Yes, just need to meet height requirement. I've seen very young kids (elementary kids) able to drive, typically had an adult sitting shotgun with them.

Does kids under 5 and 3 years old need a ticket to go in?

It's not ticketed admission. If they're going to play golf then you'd just pay to play. Same for arcade.

Can children ride the go karts?

As long as their 59 inches or taller, anyone under needs a driver

Despite the corona virus pandemic , things are reopening ( red tier) can I just go and pay up front? Does anyone know? ( the online system won't accept my card for somereason)

yes you can pay up front, everything is open!

How much is a round of golf for the kids?

$15.99 each; 5 & under free with paid adult.

Is the miniature golf open on Saturday?

Yes there open every day that boomers is open.

Is a parent signed waiver required for a minor to participate in any of the activities?

I love a good spin and flip ride, but when the flips and spins come one right after the other and don't seem to stop, that's when you lose me. I was surprised they didn't have more in between roller coasters, ones that weren't just for 7 year olds or the ultimate thrill seekers. I've been to Great America a ton and was expecting some more options like that. We came at Christmas time and were pleasantly surprised to see how great they decorated the place. It was so festive and fun to see. I loved the gingerbread village and the reindeer roundup. It was a cold rainy weekday when we were here, so the park was pretty empty and we didn't have to wait for anything. In fact, each time a ride ended they offered you to stay on and ride again without even having to move. We waited in line to buy tickets for just that day and luckily the guy at the window told us they were about half the cost if you got them online, which we were able to do on the spot on our phones. Kinda strange that the cost to buy in person is so much more than buying online, but we were very thankful that was shared with us.

I wanted to experience all the rides, food, games, the vibes and much more, all once again. I have been coming to Great America for over 25 years and I have made many memories at the park. From first rides on Stealth, to Days of Thunder, to getting wet on Whitewater Falls. Of course, some of those rides are long gone and have been replaced by other attractions. My favorite roller coaster there is actually Patriot. It is a simple floorless coaster that use to be the standup coaster, Vortex. I like how there are many rides very close to each other and you are just a few feet away from food and drinks in every corner. There are some days though where the lines move painfully slow. I wish the staff would consider optimizing the loading and unloading process so that wait times are more bearable. Other than that, everything else is good. I do hope someone or even the City of Santa Clara can sweep in and save Great America for future generations. If we lose Great America, we lose a community gathering spot for picnics, attractions, waterpark fun, concerts and so much more.

For years, based on the promotional photos I saw, I avoided the Gilroy Gardens (GG) family theme…read morepark. I thought it would be tacky and hyper-commercialized. Curiosity, together with my wife's desire to see the place, finally got the better of me--and I discovered that I had been wrong. GG in my opinion manages to strike the best balance that any such theme park probably can in terms of appealing to the masses while at the same time avoiding the trap of being tacky or hyper-commercialized. The varied rides and exhibits are pleasant and well-maintained. Some are even quite artistic (like the totem poles, illustrated in the image attached here) and educational (like the ecologically oriented Green Barn). If you're already familiar with GG, you don't need me to tell you about it. If you're not, here are a few tips--which might not be obvious to the uninitiated--that might help you better enjoy it: * The lines for the rides can be very long at times. You might end up waiting for an hour before it's your turn. Best to be prepared for that and plan it into your itinerary. * We noticed a small number of people who avoided the lines for all rides, being let in through the back gate/exit. When we asked about this at the Welcome Center, we learned that GG sells yellow wristbands that allow people to skip the long lines and enter through the "back door" (exit). They cost something like $85 per person for the year or about $30 per visit, in addition to the membership fee. * Even with those wristbands, you'll need more than one visit to see and do everything here. Rushing around a lot will spoil the fun. * The food everywhere, as far as we could tell, is pretty bad. You'll be ahead of the game if you pack your own, which will also avoid your waiting in another line. * The big secret, so to speak, of GG is "hidden" in plain sight--in the second word of the name itself, "Gardens." Most visitors are so preoccupied with going on the rides that they miss out on the natural beauty of the gardens. We found Camellia Garden and Claudia's Garden, in particular, to be like sheltered oases of calm and natural beauty within the hustle and bustle of the park. In our opinion, the three most obvious ways in which GG could be improved are as follows: 1. Improve the quality of the food that's offered. With all the traffic the park gets, those concession stands must be worth a small fortune. Either get them to do better or replace them with businesses that will. 2. Design a more user-friendly map. Those who already know their way around don't need a map but for those who don't, the existing map is not sufficiently clear (hint: it probably needs to be larger). 3. Do a better job of training the staff, in terms of both knowledgeability and attitude. Some are quite good (a special shout out to Nina at the Welcome Center and Sean at the Garlic Twirl ride: they exuded both warmth and professionalism) but others, who shall remain nameless, need more training. Minus one star for those deficiencies, as well as for not making it sufficiently clear at the time of the 2026 premium membership purchase that the bring-a-friend tickets that came with the membership had to be picked up almost immediately or they would not be available.

Review update for the start of 2026 season:…read more I expected the park to be refreshed and in top top shape for the start of the season. They just opened for the season! Unfortunately, I didn't find that was the case. We went during spring break on a weekday, and found it was more packed than usual. With that, it's no surprise considering local schools were on break. What was surprising to me was how dirty some of the rides (the caterpillar is an example) were. I feel like all of the attractions need a good pressure washing and clean up before busy season starts. We were also surprised to learn that they're now a cashless park. I'm not sure when they stopped accepting cash ( I usually use a card ) but wanted to highlight it for visitors to plan accordingly! Will be updating this review later into the season. Fingers crossed they just haven't checked some of the cleaning off the to do list yet!

Best for kids 18 months to 12 years because while the slides are fun, it's more family-friendly and less amusement-parkish than Hurricane Harbor in Concord or Calibunga/Raging Waters in San Jose. If you're ready to move your toddlers up from tot time at the San Ramon Aquatic Center, as I was, this is one step up from that. The staff member who was overseeing slides was really helpful when I told her that it was Jenbert Jr 1's first time going down a water slide ever. She told the others in line to wait for her while she gave JJ1 a little extra attention and how-to, which I appreciated. Pros: * Clean facilities * Free parking * Slide line wait times were less than 5 minutes when we went on Labor Day weekend around noon * Variety of activities from splash pad to slides to indoor or outdoor recreational swimming pool. We went to all three activities and enjoyed each. They didn't want to get out of the recreational pool when it was time to go, and it was less crowded. * More affordable than water amusement parks such as Calibunga and Hurricane Harbor, but to be fair, there isn't as much to do here. However, the focus at The Wave seems to be on quality, not quantity. Cons: * Pricing is for above and below 40". However, the slides have both a height (40") and weight (45 lb) requirement, and both must be met. Luckily, management will refund you if your child is over 40" but less than 45 lbs and cannot go on the slides. * Much like any other amusement park: cabanas/rented tables fill up quickly, can't bring in your own food.

Birthday girl was girl in line as cars weee assigned to everyone in the party. There is a place to sit and watch the racers doing their laps. The 1st lap took some getting used to. But since it was a private track time for the party, there were no unnecessary public interactions crashing cars into each other. Safety first which I really appreciated. The girls had a complete blast once they figured out how the cars drove. There was a short 20 min break in between laps where they were given drink cards and game cards to use $10 ea. The second lap was the one that counts and who won 1st 2nd 3rd place. In the end everyone received a certificate and got to stand on the podium for pics. We brought our own cake. K1 provided the sliders and pretzel dogs and utensils plates. The party section was spacious and clean. Loved the decor. Great for older kids and adults as some of the parents, kids at heart, had to refrain from joining in on the party. Many of the kids weren't able to use their game card as we ran out of time. The kids saved it for their next visit. I would recommend this place for parties or a night out or even team building event.

I took my girls to the children's events hosted in the lobby, and I honestly found myself enjoying my own inner child right alongside them. We absolutely loved the arts and crafts and the storytelling time. The room layout is also wonderful for families. It added such a nice, warm, and kid-friendly touch to our stay. The indoor water park itself is fantastic, though it did feel a bit musty and humid inside the pool area. Improved ventilation would definitely elevate the comfort level. During our visit, one of the toddler swimming areas (restricted to children under 40-45 inches) was closed. Unfortunately, my three-year-old was in that height range, so she missed out on the full experience there, though there were luckily other areas available for her to enjoy. The wave pool was great! I really appreciated that it wasn't too deep, which made it much easier and safer for someone of my height (4'11") to swim and wade around with my three-year-old daughter. Right next to the water park, the rest of the building has so much more to offer! They have amazing shops, fun obstacle courses, an awesome arcade, and great food options all conveniently located inside. It really keeps the kids entertained even when you're out of the water. We got wristbands for the room and water park and headed straight to the pool. It was packed Sunday around 5 p.m., which was expected, so we stayed a couple hours and went back to the room. Food inside the hotel was either closed or overpriced, but the location is great--about 0.5 miles from Panda Express, Chili's, Costco, La Estrella (amazing Mexican food), and more. We ate at Chili's. Parking is $20/day. You can use the water park from check-in day through checkout, which is awesome. My 11-year-old loved the Howlers Peak Ropes Course. My 7-year-old and I tried it, but he got scared at the top--staff helped him down right away. I don't blame him, it's high! I only did the first level, but my 11-year-old did the second level three times. My 7-year-old also loved the arcade. Most attractions cost extra, but there are decent deals. The only ones I wouldn't do again are mini golf and bowling--they're very small and just okay. We had the unlimited family pass, so we used them anyway. Best part: the slides! I'm 32 and my husband is 34, and we had just as much fun as the kids. Big or small, all the slides were a blast. Honestly, one of our favorite family vacations. The room (Grizzly Suite) was clean and spacious for 3 adults and 2 kids. Beds weren't super comfortable, but that's typical. Cleanliness mattered most. Checkout was easy via text, but double-check your bill--they tried to charge us $60 for "missing" towels we returned. A quick call got it refunded, but I can see how others might miss that. Overall, we'll likely be back within the next year.

The team is a family run operation with Jason being the head coach (also a semi-pro racer) and Maria handling all the logistics. I booked an arrive & drive session for their 100cc kart at Sonoma Raceway and the entire experience far exceeded my expectations. The kart was in immaculate condition and fine tuned specifically to my build; I met with them a week in advance to do measurements to ensure proper fitment, which was a first for me. Jason and his crew were giving me solid advice throughout the day, answered all my questions, and even gave in-depth guidance on taking the next steps with purchasing my own kart. You can absolutely see the care and passion they have for this sport and how they want to help you progress into a better driver. Although their main focus is driver development through SIM training, they are truly devoted to helping you grow as a driver and ensure you have a fun time.

I would love to join them on the track one day. Thank you so much for your outstanding customer service!
