This was my first time going to urban putt. I booked a reservation online for 7:30 pm. I would definitely recommend reservations since there could be a lot of people depending on the day and time of day. We didn't try the food, but we did get the drinks! You're able to keep a tab open and bring drinks with you. Drinks are pretty decent. Nothing too crazy. The course was super fun! I really enjoyed how creative each hole is. There weren't much people when we first arrived, but there were more people as the night went on. The vibes were really great all around! Upstairs were a few arcade games and photobooth. You can also sit upstairs and hang out. Overall, we had a lovely time at urban putt and would def come back!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would -- because that's truly what it deserves. My fiancée and I came in hoping to have a nice lunch date and play some golf. We ordered drinks from Melissa at the bar, and everything seemed fine at first. We went upstairs to play air hockey, got hungry, and came back downstairs to order food. Since the upstairs area is set up like a dining room with tables and chairs, we politely asked if we could eat up there. Instead, we were rudely told we had to stay downstairs if we wanted food. Fine -- no problem. We moved downstairs and ordered a chicken wrap to share with added cheese. When the wrap came out, there was no cheese, despite us paying extra for it. Melissa argued with me, insisting the kitchen staff said it was on the food. After going back and forth over a $1 add-on, I realized it wasn't worth the argument and decided I'd just reflect it in the tip instead. I wasn't asking for the food to be remade -- I simply asked for the cheese charge to be removed from the bill. What's ridiculous is how seriously this business took arguing with customers over $1 worth of cheese. Even worse, Melissa then sat there talking about us with other employees where we could clearly hear them while we were trying to eat. The entire experience was embarrassing, unprofessional, and completely ruined what was supposed to be a fun afternoon. Do better. Ps urban I'll take this down if you compensate us for our experience because it was horrible anger spending over $100 here!!

We had a great time here -- the vibe is awesome and each hole has its own personality. The creative touches, especially the pinball-style holes, were super cool. The only confusing part was figuring out where the front vs. back nine started. The staff wasn't very clear or friendly about explaining how to begin, and the bar service was just okay. Clearer guidance would really help first-timers. It was also pretty crowded, and even with a reservation we had to wait behind a few larger groups. My only other critique: they need more places to set drinks down at certain holes. Overall though, it's a fun and unique experience, and I'd definitely come back!

A fairly new indoor mini golf spot in downtown San Jose. Fairly new because I believe they opened sometime last year just never got a chance to go until recently. Urban putt is 2 floors. Bottom floor has the mini golf and bar. Top floor was the arcade and I'm not sure what else they had because I didn't go up there, I just saw the signs showing what was on the second floor. Urban Putt has 18 unique holes from a crashed UFO to the Shoreline Ampitheater! Loved the theme for each of the holes. They were so cool and I have to say that the Winchester Mystery House was one of my favorites! Definitely was "spooky." Tried their drinks and thought they were ok. Didn't try their foods. Urban Putt is a cool indoor mini golfing spot to check out.

Came close to closing and once I told them it was my birthday, they let me golf for free and discounted my friends as well! Great vibes with friends or even a date! Can see how this would be lively on a summer night! Can't wait to come back.

The place is beautiful and fun. They have a nice sitting bar and offer great drinks. The golf course is well planned and had great holes. Service is fast! Overall fun to go with friends or family. Food is decent for a gaming place.

What's up: Team building activity after a sushi dinner! We did some research ahead of time and thought this would be a great thing to try. Indoor mini golf! Parking: We took an Uber here but it looks like there's street parking nearby. Environment: We came later in the evening so the place asked to check for ID before being allowed in. They have a bar as well as a kitchen in addition to the mini golf portion. We went to order a drink first before ordering our mini golf session. Staff members were friendly. The mini golf was very freestyle. Multiple parties are playing at the same time. There's an order you can follow or ignore lol. Each round has different obstacles and activities to do for the holes. And the best part, you can bring your drink along since they have areas where you can place them down or you hold up, up to you. The entire course is black light lit so the neon colored glow in the dark mini golf made it so much more fun! There's also free WiFi. What was ordered: - 10th Street Penicillin (good) - 18 Holes Course Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. I think this is such a fun concept. It's too bad there isn't something like this in our area. But we had fun playing here. Staff members are friendly. Credit cards and ApplePay are accepted.

I came here with my boyfriend about two weeks ago. To start off, we grabbed a few drinks. The Winchester old fashioned had some unique flavor while the Caught in the act was pretty tasty. We also ordered pizza that was okay, nothing too special but our waiter was very helpful with the service overall. We played two rounds of their mini golf. We had a lot of fun. It was simple yet fun. I loved the designs on the interior and found it pretty fascinating how well designed everything else. I'll definitely be coming back :)!

This place is modern and is great for a date night or for groups. However, this place can definitely get busy. I recommend only doing 9 holes if it's packed, unless you don't mind waiting. The interior is modern and open. The course itself was San Jose themed and was unique which I thought was pretty cool. The drinks here are definitely are the stronger side, but they were enjoyable. I ended up leaving early and only finishing only half of the course because we would have to wait a while at every single hole for the next group to be done. The staff was nice enough to charge us only for 9 holes after since they knew it was busy at that time. Food was decent.

Was so pleasantly surprised at Urban Putt. We stopped in on a Friday after work and it wasn't packed at all (def filled up quickly). The food was unexpectedly fantastic. Great menu with reasonable prices. We didn't play mini golf but will def be back because the ambiance was too cool to skip out on.

    Yuria G.

The mini golf here was really fun because each hole felt like a new game--it kept things exciting as we moved along, wondering what the next one would be like. The food was served warm, and the chicken and waffles were surprisingly spicy! We went on a Sunday evening and didn't have to wait at all. Not sure if I'd come back often, but it's definitely a great place to check out!!

Ask the Community - Urban Putt

I'm trying to plan a dinner and golf for my friends 40th birthday. We have 4 adults , 4 kids aged 10-13. What time should I reserve for dinner and what time for golf? It's a pain doing them separately, plus kids have to be out by a certain time?

I am organizing a group event as well. I've booked the table for food & drink but will be more flexible with the golf part as not everyone might want to participate or when to golf, so we are doing that as 'walk in'. For the age limit, their… Read more
