Cool outdoor space.

Train your staff guys. Yelling at kiddos playing around an open space with giant connect 4 games and an outdoor vibe is not the move. My kids got yelled at almost immediately for touching the connect 4 game. Were they running around with the pieces? Yes. Yes they were. I was mere feet away in mid refrain telling them to chill when the staff felt the need to chastise them. Please be aware the picnic benches are not safe for kids. They are very light weight. My kid fell backwards off one and thankfully was ok. So, please be careful they tip very easily. Also, no changing tables in the stalls we used. The pizza food truck was solid. Just bummed these guys are being kinda rough on families. Breweries are typically known for being family friendly. I hope y'all see this and train your staff. My vibe was obliterated and I felt like a nuisance. Place could be a real hit. So far the vibes aren't there. The original is a spot I've frequented often and they don't give off the same feel. Pretty disappointed...

Great place to hang out. Can play cornhole Pretty spacious, seating and standing space available. Parking is street only, would expect this place to be crowded on game days at SAP.

What a great treat! Greta service, quick. This place will be busy once word gets out. Only thing missing is a decent food option. I would have liked a little appetizer- not necessarily a meal. The food truck just wasn't appealing. Great beer. Love this place. Might need a better bike parking option.

Went to Hapas for stand up comedy and had a blast! They have an indoor space that isn't part of the photos, so you're in a covered area and the acoustics were awesome. They had a burger truck there as well as the beers and it was solidly good. I had root beers to drink but the guys enjoyed the beers. They really liked the butterfly wings beer, and the employees were super knowledgeable about the beers! Also the bathrooms were super nice for a portable type. Looking forward to going back for more comedy date nights for sure! 10/10

I had a great time a few weeks back at the new San Jose location of Hapa's Brewing on a sunny Saturday afternoon! The atmosphere was perfect for relaxing and enjoying a few pints outside. Our beertender was super friendly and accommodating. She made us feel genuinely welcomed from the moment we arrived. The smash burger food truck on-site served up one of the best cheeseburgers I've had in a long time, perfectly cooked, flavorful, and just what you want with a cold beer. This is definitely the kind of spot you'll want to hang out at and grab a beer when you're in the area. Hapa's nailed it again! Every bit as good as their original location. Highly recommended!

We love Hapas. I just want to start with that! We have been supporting Hapas since they opened on Lincoln and we have been to this new location three times already. BUT really disappointed that this family friendly location asked our kids to "stop running" around the big planters and open space where the corn hole is placed. With five plus adults watching them I really felt like our kids couldn't be kids at a place that really has leaned towards the "family friendly" brewery/ location. Funny thing is that the bar back (The guy helping clean up/ walking around attending tables) was a really nice guy and actually apologized for the beer-tender telling us the kids needed to stop running outside. He, like us, thought it was a very strange ask. We went on a Saturday and at 7pm they started closing umbrellas, picked up the corn hole and really seemed like they were closing. We had a big group of people and would have done more rounds if it didn't feel like it was closing. It felt so strange that when we got home we looked up the closing time and it wasn't till 9pm!! Definitely felt a, "we are closing" vibe at 7pm on a Saturday. I hope the owners see this and really consider talking to the "beer-tenders" about family friendly environments and how kids like to run around, play tag when together away from toys and screens, outdoors. Especially when they are not bothering others. With all that said, we WILL be back, we enjoy their beer, and even have some Hapas tshirts!! But let's really make this location family friendly. Thanks.

The middle has many tables for patrons to sit at. We parked (incorrectly) in some random parking garage, but you're supposed to park right across the street; Follow the signs for restaurant and shops parking (that we somehow missed). After a short wait on a Sunday afternoon, the bartender allowed us to taste a few beers on the menu that caught my eye. The cider (for you non beer drinking folk) was dangerously delicious and I really enjoyed their "fruited sours" line. Definitely would come back to relax at this location.

I love that they have a large focus on sours and now they even offer cider from a local cider house. You have to come check it out. Vibes are on point, such a chill spot. They also have pizza which is a major plus, especially because it is so delicious. Now I saved the best for last, the service is incredible. These people treat you like family. Such a warm and welcoming environment! S/O to Gabby, Cole, Rachel, and Matt! Thank you for being awesome. Very pet friendly!

I am leaving a one star review based on a consistent pattern of outright rudeness from the red haired bartender at the Campbell location. She is not only consistently rude and combative, but today in particular took it upon herself to add a hefty tip that we did authorize (additionally we bought two four packs and took them to go so it was not a sit in situation). We returned to remedy this and the other bartender was very helpful. However I was told it's "pretty common for us to add a 20% tip" if a customer walks away before the tip screen is presented. As a long time food service and viticulture employee I can tell you definitively that this is NOT industry standard, and is a blatant violation of the law. While automatic gratuity is something establishments can opt to do, it is illegal for a server or waiter to add an unauthorized non mandatory tip. Check your receipts and avoid the redheaded bartender as she has no integrity or customer service skills. It is deeply unfortunate that such a nice establishment has been marred by the illegal and misguided actions of one individual.

Absolutely one of the most unique spots in downtown San Jose. Fox Tale Fermentation Project somehow…read moremanages to feel like an experimental brewery and community gathering space all at once. The fermentation concept is woven into everything from the beers and botanical mocktails to the food and it actually works incredibly well. The drinks are creative without feeling gimmicky, and the flavors are layered and thoughtful. The food was surprisingly memorable too, especially how vegetable-forward dishes still felt rich and satisfying. The atmosphere has this warm, artsy, almost hidden-gem energy that makes you want to stay for hours. What really stands out is that the place feels intentional. You can tell the owners care deeply about craft, community, and creating an experience instead of just another brewery. Easily one of the coolest and most distinctive food/drink concepts in San Jose right now.

I need to start off by saying I never had good vegetarian food. I hate vegetarian food. I am a meat…read moreeater and need it for every meal. Fox Tale Fermentation is a small place like a Japanese ramen shop. My high school classmate suggestion this place and I thought she was vegetarian. I asked her why this place; she wanted to try it out but she's a meat eater. I'm down to try new places so we went. When we went, it was really crowded for a Thursday dinner time. A lady saw my cane and offer her table to sit at so I felt seen. You pretty much order at the front counter; you pour your own water. Front counter was so nice to us as we try to order. We got the funk salad and kombucha. We didn't order a lot because we wanted to try the place. When we got to our table, it was near the door. Our funk salad came and it was hefty mf. It was a bowl of salad all right. So you know how I said earlier that I don't like vegetarian food? OMG I was amazed. The best salad I've eaten. The vinaigrette was so good; it was citrusy. My salad was cut into small pieces so it wasn't big that I need to cut it. The sweet potato was sauteed. The princess sauerkraut was so good. I don't like sauerkraut at all but it was divine. I never tried kombucha because I thought it was dirt tea. I was wrong. It has the fermented taste and I never knew. After trying it, it's not something I would order again. I liked how I was eating "healthy" food after I ate bad yesterday. I don't have that bad bloated feeling. It's very wheelchair friendly and restroom is unisex. The restroom is clean. The establishment is clean. I would go here again if I have a vegetarian visitor. This place rocks!
