    Selections of balls

This place was nice and perfect for the kids to enjoy some sun. The mini golf course was clean. A lot of different color balls to pick from. Two paths you can pick whichever course you want to golf. We stayed on the right side. We came round 3pm on a Saturday and it wasn't too crowded. The staff were teenagers and they were nice and accommodating. The arcade inside had some good games and a prize area for tickets to trade. Overall a good and fun experience for the kids. Next time I want to try the other path. Something that was kinda weird is the sign that says "passage to the orient" in front of the Asian building on the course. I can see how that's a bit outdated or can be offensive to some Asians.

I havent been here in years my friend suggested coming to get out the house. There was a short wait. 18 holes for about $16 not bad at all. It took about an hour. You scan your barcode to recieve the balls and you get to choose your color. I love that instead of them just handing it to you. We tried the more difficult side and it was so much fun. After we went inside for arcade but honestly not the best of options. A fun activity to do on a date, with friends or family.

When your preteen kids has done "everything" and refuses to unglue themselves from the screen, this is a great place for them to spend outside. For $15/kid, they played for a couple hours, and then yes, bad mom, I allowed them to hang out in the arcade after. The mini golf area is well maintained and nicely painted. And today, I was surprised how clean and nice the arcade area is as well. The arcade is in the room behind the cashier, and it's about the size of a very large living room. When they were smaller, I used to take them down the street for ice cream afterwards, but now, they just wanted to go home for more screens at home. Womp womp. I tried.

Very challenging yet engaging courses, very spacious, paint job on the buildings and obstacles are nice and nice palm trees. The miniature greens are well maintained. But best of all, they have more than one fountain! Every decent miniature golf course NEEDS to have a fountain! If it ain't got no fountain, it ain't miniature golf!! and if you lose a ball in the water hazards (with fancy fountains) or into the streets of Castro Valley, they give you one for free! ( well they should...). Bathrooms could be better maintained but it lets you do what you need to do so not much to complain there. Definitely a family friendly place! Bring the whole family! Including your baby sister in her little Chinese outfit (remember that Muey?!).

This is our family's first time here we had a great time. All of us really enjoyed both courses and love the fact that playing an extra round only cost five dollars, family friendly. The price is right . Fun activity in the Bay Area highly recommend.

I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and well kept this mini golf is. Well maintained, freshly painted, and all around clean. We played 18 holes and it was $16 a person. If you wanted to play additional round or the other course it was additional $5. The arcade was a little stuffy and didn't have the most pleasant smell. We opted out of playing in there. Over a lot of family fun.

I came here on a Saturday morning with my husband and had a blast. We bought two golf and 25 point arcade vouchers for $14.99 each. We started with golf and there was a good amount of people outside playing when we started. They have two courses you can choose from and we decided to play the newer one. It took us around 1 hour and had a blast. There was a bench at each station to sit and put your stuff down while you play. Once finished, we headed inside with our 25 point voucher and played around 3-4 arcade games. It was a great cheap way to spend a few hours on a saturday. The staff were also very nice and the golf course and arcade were neat and clean.

Ask the Community - Golden Tee Golfland

How does the pricing works for adults?

General admission is $12 per person, and ages 60+ qualify for $11 per person senior rate.

Do we need to make a reservation online or can we do one when we get to the golfing place?

    My friends bought tickets there.

Is there also laser tag over ther?

We don't have laser tag at the Castro Valley location. We do have laser tag at the Milpitas and Fairfield locations. Thanks for the question.

    Any age limit to play?

No age limit. Thanks for asking.

How updated or outdated is the arcade's?

They're fairly updated. I would say pretty comparable to those at Chuck E. Cheese !

    Is there food or alcohol?

There is no food there unless you have a party, where they will provide Pizza and Soda. That's it. But absolutely no Liquor allowed there.

Great addition to downtown Hayward. Perfect for kids - it a smaller version of chuck e cheese…read more I love this place and want it to succeed. Hayward is an underdog city - and this is such a unique space. If I was the mayor of Hayward I would shine a light on this place as I think its an important piece of the city. I live just 2 blocks away and have never gotten any note on my front door or advertisement or coupon. I think that is a shame. If I was head of marketing for this business I would place a flyer under every door mat in a 5 or 10 block radius. This is a missed opportunity for core customers. There are new high rise buildings also popping up - a huge senior building - why not a special flyer offering seniors discounts if they show up for an early bird dinner? Often times you can also tell if kids live in any given home in the neighborhood. There are kiddie pools, tiny shoes left out front, bikes thrown around in the front yard - these homes should be targeted even more aggressively with fliers and some sort of incentive to come in. Another huge problem with this place is the lack of emphasis on ease of 'searchability' of the place. I had lived so close since 2016 and had not known about the place until maybe 2020 during the pandemic. How is that possible? It's all about not knowing this is an arcade. Sector 19 doesn't mean anything to me. It should be called 'Sector 19 Arcade' so that people can find it with a Google or Waze search. The arcade is clean and bright and fun for little kids. Its a safe place too - where parents can hang outside more in the restaurant part and not worry they wandered off - there is only one way out. The arcade needs to be front and center - this is why people come. Pizza House or Susie Qs have no competition in this arena.... so lean in on this. I will say that a Susie Qs has an edge with food quality - so again, more reason to make the family friendly atmosphere the center of attention.

Came here to bowl and it was still early (11:30am) and it was not busy there were only two other lanes taken. The bowling set up is nice, many options on ball size and weights and it is super clean and organized. I had went to the bar and was just standing there waiting for someone to help, and finally someone came and told me to come back later cause he cannot pour. So I went back to bowling, when coming back to bar they said they cant serve until 12pm. Good beer options. The service overall was good, nice friendly young staff. Pricing is on the higher side but man those claw machines are a bust, we kept trying and could not win anything, it seems to barley even grip. It's better off buying the stuff animals at a stand they have in the mall. I am pretty shocked this place has bad reviews because I really enjoyed my time here.

They are a scam now, with $100+ , you will win 1 toy if you are lucky, when I was there I overheard some guest talking to one of the employee, complaining that they have been trying this 1 machine for quiet sometime and the machine still did not give them a win after swiping 8 times! and the employee herself admitted that they were calibrating the machines and most of the machines are not ready for a win even after 8 or 9 swipes and to remind you 1 swipe now is 14 + points.. This place became so greedy. To be honest I gave it a chance , before this review I gave it a shot because I came here DEC, Jan and finally this was the last straw, during dec. I understand maybe they needed the extra revenue that's why they purposely mess up the calibration, so it won't pay out a win after a certain amount of swipes but now it's just ridicules. so please I'm warning people to please to do not come to ROUND 1 SOUTHLAND MALL. try other location maybe they are better. I'm just being honest with this review and like I mentioned, I use to love going here and spending $100+ and win a good amount of toys but now it's not worth it. I won't be coming back to this location for sure and it's a shame because this place use to be fun.

Kids were super bummed, but decided to go out and drive and still had a great time. The track was a tad slippery still from drift night so they actually had a few tiny drift moments. They have food and drinks available for reasonable prices. Mostly pub type food, as well as snacks and candy. Lots of nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverages available. You can pre register online and just check in upon arrival. You're immediately assigned a host to guide you through the event. In the beginning the process was a bit confusing but it all got sorted out by the time the race began. All drivers got a safety instruction. Then guided to 2 guys to help with helmet fitting. Birthday girl was girl in line as cars weee assigned to everyone in the party. There is a place to sit and watch the racers doing their laps. The 1st lap took some getting used to. But since it was a private track time for the party, there were no unnecessary public interactions crashing cars into each other. Safety first which I really appreciated. The girls had a complete blast once they figured out how the cars drove. There was a short 20 min break in between laps where they were given drink cards and game cards to use $10 ea. The second lap was the one that counts and who won 1st 2nd 3rd place. In the end everyone received a certificate and got to stand on the podium for pics. We brought our own cake. K1 provided the sliders and pretzel dogs and utensils plates. The party section was spacious and clean. Loved the decor. Great for older kids and adults as some of the parents, kids at heart, had to refrain from joining in on the party. Many of the kids weren't able to use their game card as we ran out of time. The kids saved it for their next visit. I would recommend this place for parties or a night out or even team building event.
