We came to Slime Kitchen for the second day in a row and it's a really cool place for kids, especially if they love slime. The first day we went was February 13 around 12-1 PM. It was busy that day, and unfortunately I didn't catch the name of the woman who helped us, but she was great and very patient. Even with how busy it was, we didn't feel rushed and the experience was really enjoyable. We came back again on Valentine's Day around the same time. This time Caitlin helped us. She was good and helpful, but the experience felt a little rushed even though we were the only ones in the shop at the time. Overall, it's a great experience for kids. It is a little pricey, but if your child likes slime, it's definitely something they'll enjoy and have fun doing. read more

Came here for the first time with my toddler (age 4) and she had a BLAST. Slime is not allowed at home so this was very special. I love their setup. You pick a slime base, which is the consistency and texture. Then your child can pick a base color. After they mix it up, they can play with the slime until they're ready to add more like sparkles, balls, and other designs. Aside from making the slime and squishing it, there isn't much else you can do here. I wish they had other activities to do with the slime. The staff was super friendly and great with kids. Came in knowing that I wanted to buy a couple of their premade slimes. The display of the premade slimes is right up against the window with one row of slime behind the other. You can't go around to look at the other side because the glass is there so you have to reach through and move things around to look at all the options, which is a bit inconvenient. Found a couple that worked for what we wanted - the checkout process was easy and quick. read more

I had a terrible experience at this place. I took my granddaughter to the Slime Kitchen along with my service dog, and the person in charge told us we had to leave without even asking about the dog's status. Security was called, even though we left immediately, and they confirmed the dog was allowed. It was a huge misunderstanding, but the manager was rude, dismissive, and seemed to be on a power trip. On top of that, the place was overpriced. I will never go back and I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone. read more

You see the $25 price tag and it turns you off. Completely understandable. But keep in mind, you aren't only paying for the slime, you are paying for the experience of making it yourself. It is your own customized creation. We went later in the evening and on a rainy day. This may explain why there was only one other customer inside. The associate was friendly and helped us along swiftly. This is a 10 step process. From start to finish it took maybe 20min. My son greatly enjoyed himself. And I enjoyed watching him throughout the process. My strong suggestion would be to add adult seating. A bench or something! We will be back to make more slime in the future. read more

From the top of the trail, you can head back down the way you came, or connect with a handful of other trails at the top and keep going! Brought out little league World Series boys and they had a blast making slime! I highly recommend this if you are in Livermore California.

It's not like a traditional escape room where you might feel some stress and pressure to finish on time. The escape room is behind a curtain and there are helpful employees to keep the kids on track and assist when needed. And they learned actual science concepts while working! My daughter loves to learn about science, so it was so great for her. We had the cake cutting in the "party room" which is decorated with beautiful rainbow colors and beakers. All in all, the entire place is eye candy! And Ashie the owner is a draw by herself! She has her PhD in chemical engineering from Dartmouth and a passion for teaching science to kids. She was so personable and engaging.

We opted for the party room after for an extra 30mins which was just enough time for the kids to settle down, eat, sing happy birthday and have cupcakes without feeling rushed. Tips: -A curtain separates the experience from the party room, so you can set up while the kids play (if you chose the extra 30mins) -There's a seating area not far from the location for parents to hang out. -There isn't a restroom, so you will need to use one of the many restrooms throughout the mall. -Currently the escalator by the store going down is out of service, so plan ahead.

One thing to keep in mind is that many of the art projects require an additional fee, so the admission price doesn't cover all activities. While there were plenty of toys and play areas, many of them appeared heavily used and showed noticeable wear and tear. The location was another drawback for us. Being in Blackhawk Plaza, which currently has a lot of vacant storefronts, the area felt rather quiet and lacking energy. It's also quite a distance from the freeway, making it less convenient to visit, especially for families traveling from outside the immediate area. Overall, I genuinely love the concept and appreciate what they're trying to create. However, between the high admission cost, additional activity fees, maintenance concerns, and inconvenient location, I don't think we'll be returning. I wish them the best and hope they continue improving, as the idea itself has a lot of potential.

Everyone seemed timid at first to throw or smash an item, but as soon as they did, it was on! 35 minutes doesn't seem like that long, but we were all exhausted by the end. We had 15 participants (children and adults) in our smash session. With that amount, it was a bit too crowded for my comfort and it got a bit hot in the room towards the end, even with the AC and fan. I think smaller groups would be better to allow everyone a bit more room to rage comfortably. Owner and staff were amazing, the facility is new and clean (well as clean as can be considering the activities lol), the safety equipment was clean and well organized, and the party room was a nice space to hang out in and watch the playback of the smash session before we headed off to paint. We had a blast and will definitely return, plus the parents now want to come back without the children for an adults night out too! Highly recommend this place for an incredibly fun and therapeutic time. These are nothing major, but a few things I would suggest: WiFi for better streaming of music to the speakers, an attendant outside the rooms ora way to really communicate with staff to help those that need to exit early for emergency situations, posted instructions of what to do and where to put used equipment in the paint clean-up station, and crank up the AC or add more fans - it gets pretty warm in those rooms in all that gear.

Who throws a birthday party for only one hour? If you want an additional hour it's an extra $150. Felt like a bait and switch -- I went back on the website to see if there was a disclaimer about parties being only 1 hour -- there is, but it's very discreet. It should definitely be more clear so there aren't any surprises. 2. The art project takes quite literally 5 minutes (no wonder only one hour is included...). While I'm sure the art is going to be beautiful, I would go as far as saying this was boring for a crew of 7 year old girls. After all of the instructions were given it was truly.. 5 minutes of fun... I quote the birthday girl.., "mom, we poured paint in a cup and then poured it in paper. That's it." I really wish there was something else to make the party a bit more fun and engaging. Play a game? Sing? Literally anything to extend the fun. The art itself is simply not enough to justify having a party there.
