Very cool farm. We came here today for pumpkin patch school field trip and it was a lot of fun. Petting zoo and feeding goats and sheep, maize fun, bouncy house, little train ride and pumpkin bowling were some of the activities that we did. We missed the hayride as it is only available in the weekend. We spent over 3 hrs and kids had a blast! It was beautiful sunny day and windy too so we didn't feel too hot. Porta potties were available and in decent condition. Lots of shaded areas with picnic tables to rest and eat. Some food available too although they run out of pumpkin pie too soon so we missed the oopportunity to try it sadly but it looked so good.

It was a long drive after exiting freeway. Passed downtown and the wineries, we finally arrived. Like most of the other pumpkin patches, the parking lot is rock and dust. A couple shaded picnic area. A food stand sells hot dog, pumpkin pie, soda and bottles water else. Portable toilets are available. Hand washing stations are also available in multiple locations. The kids come in for field trip are having fun. Besides the inflatable slides, corn maze and train ride, there's a petting zoo. The small set up of museum by the entrance is very thoughtful too. This place is also dog friendly, as long as dog is leashed and remember clean up after your dog. No entrance fee. No parking fee. Bring cash (no credit card payment) for pumpkin, ride tickets, food and snacks.

They love to climb on stuff & trim trees & bushes.

Kids have so much fun & they don't even realize they're learning where their food comes from too. Lots of things to do & exhibits to see. Don't forget to get an approved snack & feed the exceptionally friendly goats!

Our son's first school field trip was at Joan's Pumpkin Patch. It was definitely a chaotic but fun-filled day, since basically the whole school was invited here and not just one class. My impressions is that Joan's definitely has that county fair, rustic feel. They have many activities beyond pumpkins, though things are more spread out and its a bit dusty here. Things we enjoyed: 1. Animal feeding - take your pick between donkeys and goats. They eat right out of your hand and it feels like a wet hand massage, LOL. 2. The kids playground area - yeah its a bit modern but really nice to have all those gigantic kettlebell-like balloons everywhere. Older kids may like the giant inflatable bounce-house / giant slide. 3. I liked how they had lots of props and great background for photos scattered around. Dislikes 1. Limited food options - just hot dogs or chili and its cash only. They do offer an excellent pumpkin pie though - very creamy and sweet. No need for whip cream. 2. The dust! I know real farms are expected to be dusty but for a more dust-free experience, we like G&M farms, also in Livermore. 3. The pumpkin patch itself was arranged randomly - so you literally have to walk in between. At G&M Farms you had rows and rows of pumpkin patches so much easier to move around and find that perfect pumpkin to take home. Overall 3 stars - definitely recommend if you enjoy seeing farm animals and want to experience rustic farm life, with the associated smells and dust. We are suburban folk and prefer a modern, less dusty experience with more food options. Our preferred pumpkin patch is probably G&M.

My family and I had a wonderful time introducing our baby to the pumpkin patch! Joan's was the perfect place for this! We loved that it's off the beaten path and not on the side of a highway. The animals were friendly and adorable and there were tons of great photo ops and Activities to enjoy with the family. The pumpkins were beautiful and this is an excellent way to celebrate the fall season! We will certainly be back before the month is over!

Pumpkin Patches with our Baby. Wasn't too far from South bay. It seemed very family friendly and has lots of littles ones around. Different areas for pictures and things to do for activity. Plus its free parking and admission! They have tiny mazes and shooting stalls. All the different size pumpkins made our baby smile. Also Cash only, but the pumpkin pie was good! Go early

TLDR: Free admission, cheap (and large selection of) pumpkins, lots of rides and animals like sheep and cows. You do have to go off-roading a bit to get into the parking lot, so bring an adequate car for your visit. The place is EXTREMELY dusty, so be prepared for that as well lol. Cash only, but they also have an ATM on site! We visited this pumpkin patch looking to buy a large quantity of pumpkins at an affordable price. For 40 pumpkins, it costed $160 (or $4 each) which wasn't too bad! They have pie pumpkins, white pumpkins, medium-sized pumpkins, larger 12-inch pumpkins - basically everything to satisfy your pumpkin needs! The place is also dog friendly, so it's a cute place to bring your pup for some nice fall photos.

Love this local farm! I had so much fun visiting the farm and was impressed by their selection of pumpkins this late in the season! I personally loved all the options for mini pumpkins and have had so much fun painting and gifting them with friends. The staff were so incredibly kind and helpful and really added to the overall pleasurable experience! I had never been to this pumpkin patch before but will be coming back every year! The location was stunning and would make for so many great photos! It was so much fun watching people take pictures of their pups too! The prices were great and I'm so glad we stopped by!

One of our favorite local pumpkin patch. Has a lot to keep the kiddos busy. It's cash only and closed on Monday. Their kids Train Ride was the highlight of the day for our kids! Petting Zoo is nice and they give you to feed the goats. Photo opps are located around which are really pretty! Jumpy houses and plat structures with inflatable slides, mazes etc keep the kids busy and entertained. Creative yard games for kids. Pumpkin patch has a LOT of pumpkins of various sizes! They have a nice selection of dehydrated veggies in bags for sale. Makes for a healthy quick snack! They also sell Pumpkins,Gourds, Corn all fresh from their farm! Their snack shop has a few freshly made items early in the season like their Pumpkin Pie. There's also other dry snacks like chips. Staff are the kindest people I've met! So knowledgeable and have been around for years. We can't wait to come back here this Fall!!

Livermore pumpkin patches are our favorite! They are close by, less crowded, family friendly, decent number activities for kids of all ages and plenty of space. And do not forget parking! Hassle free parking. This patch has goats to feed, sheep and a cow! Maze, bowling pumpkins, bounce house, many more things for kids to be happy! Delicious pumpkin pie and drinks. Glad we could go over to this spot without having to drive through crazy bay area traffic

Today is the last Friday before Joan's farm close for the year. They are only open during the month of October. We brought our dogs to visit today because they allow dogs on leash. We arrived at 10:30am and the place was packed! There were some school kids field trips. If you are a animal lover, you would love this places There are so many animals. Cows, horses, goats & donkeys. We didn't visit the area where you can feed the animals but there is one. The staff were super friendly and on our way out, I got a slice of pumpkin pie and roasted corn nuggets. Both were really good! We will for sure come back again next year. - Free parking on site - bring cash for food and rides - train ride, slide, petting zoo for kids The only thing I wish the farm can improve is remove the 2 signs that says "Beef a healthy choice , good for breakfast , lunch and dinner" right next to the cows area. It's so sad :(

    Caroline B.

There wasn't an entrance fee. Pumpkins were cheap. You can pay $1 to feed the animals! It was really fun

This was our first trip to G&M Farms in Livermore and it was incredibly special and actually quite the fun surprise off the freeway. As we were coming home from a night away, we wanted to stop and have a moment with our little amongst the pumpkins and support an East Bay pumpkin patch. As we were about to pass Livermore, we saw signage and oodles of fun happening for G&M Farms so we pulled off. There is so much to do here! You can grab a red Radio Flyer wagon and truly go hunting for the perfect pumpkin within the patch itself, or if you're on the hunt for more smaller pumpkins/gourds there is a whole gift shop/farm store that is so incredibly cute for basically every pumpkin vibe you can imagine. Plenty of spots to stop and take pictures with friends or family. There's a corn maze, drinks/snacks like mini donuts, popcorn, and corn dogs, and speaking of corn..oh-em-gee! Truly wanted to share a review for this reason alone. Looking for a sensory activity for your little? There is not a sandbox, but a giant CORN box for play. The adults also tried it (essentially we just put our feet in and it felt surprisingly really nice. Something unexpected and truly unique, fun, and interactive. We also noticed a few other activities on the pumpkin patch side like a tractor/train ride and I'm not sure if there was a petting zoo? Regardless, worth a trip if you haven't made your pumpkin haul yet. Plenty of room for strollers and very spread out. Can't wait to make the corn box an annual tradition. Looking forward to truly enjoying the patch next year with more time. Thank you G&M Farms for the memories! Still finding little corn kernels ;)

The place is quite large, so you'll need to pay for their tractor ride ($4) to get from station to station. We came around 10:00 a.m. on a Monday and the place wasn't crowded. We picked up our baskets and then let the kids place around their tree house for a little bit before getting on the tractor. Our first stop was peaches and apricots. The peaches were pretty low hanging, and the kids were so excited to pick them. However, there weren't that many ripe ones at this time. There were more ripe apricots, and they were sweet and juicy. Our next stop was the strawberry station where there were plenty of ripe strawberries. Our last stop was the cherry station. Our driver directed us to the last row where we could find ladders. Sure enough the cherries were plentiful and so sweet and juicy. There were even kid size ladders for the littles ones. The fruits were 100 times better than what you'll find at the grocery store, and the kids had so much fun picking their own fruits. If you need a fun activity with the kids, I high recommend coming here.
