I wouldn't recommend going to Moreland Pumpkin Patch if you're planning on doing the family walk. It was quite expensive at $15 per person, even for my 2yo. We lined up at our 730pm check-in time and waited 35 minutes in the cold and were only halfway through the line. We left because it would have been another 25-35 more minutes to get through the line. However, the staff was great and the carnival games were fun. Nice to have all of the thoughtful decorations as well, our child loved playing with all of the pumpkins. read more

This patch is cute. The haunted trail costs $15 per person and there are scheduled appointment times to go in, however the line backs up and you have to wait at least 30 minutes past your appointment time before entering. We did not enter the trail until 720pm, and that is after getting in line at 640pm. Just be aware. Which is fine, my family had fun and the actors inside are funny and well rehearsed. However, since we waited so long, we got out of the trail around 750pm. My kid wanted to play the carnival games, which close at 8pm, so we bought some tickets to play, and were out to the carnival by 752pm, they had already taken everything down and had only a few simple games still up. My kid was bummed, but I figured since there were no refunds, I could go back and get a snack instead with my tickets. I was denied and told to come back next week to redeem the tickets. I know this is all for a good cause and it really isn't too big of a deal, but it is silly that I literally bought the tickets within a minute and then walked back after the carnival being closed and then denied to even use the tickets on anything else and then told to come back next week. They were told not to sell any tickets since they were closing up the carnival early, but I guess it wasn't communicated well. I guess we will be back to use up the tickets next weekend...? read more

This is a review of the pumpkin patch held on the school grounds. Not sure how long this pumpkin patch, but it is so cute! Last year, my boyfriend found this pumpkin patch so we stopped by. He really wanted to do the scary trail, but we were told that it was sold out. People had apparently lined up very early for tickets. Did not know it was the hot ticket in town! There are games with stations, food being sold, a projector for a movie to be played potentially, and a magic show going on when we arrived. This year, we went to the pumpkin patch around 6pm and saw there were time slots to buy tickets. My boyfriend realized a line had started a few minutes before and he quickly went to stand in line. Luckily, he secured tickets! After he bought our tickets, someone yelled "9pm sold out!" I'm a scaredy cat and so I was screaming all the way through, but it was fun! Very nicely put together! Pretty neat pumpkin patch and especially great for the kids. You're basically coming hear for the haunted path, but still other things to do. There were some weird "staff" that started asking me questions when I went off the beaten path, but still a nice little spot. Lots of pumpkins and the ghosts from the 1800's still haunt the grounds. If you like Halloween and getting the kids spooked out of their minds, then give this place a visit. read more

They've been doing this pumpkin patch for 9 years and I just stumbled upon it! The pumpkin patch part is not HUGE like many others, but it is big enough and everything is Volunteer run. The money you spend goes directly to the school and what could be better? If you Goto pumpkin patches, then you know how much you're going to over spend on pumpkins regardless of where you go, haha. So if you're going to spend, why not spend it where the money will actually count? School are ALWAYS in dire need of funding- no matter how affluent the area. We found the volunteers to be extremely helpful and very nice. The best part is their haunted labyrinth!! We did the family friendly version and we all still got spooked LOOOOL. But in a good way! The actors they have inside are sooo good! And btw, I am from SoCal, so scary theme parks are a normal October activity. The actors were of all ages, kids, and older adults. I was very very impressed with their acting skills. They could easily be at Universal studios. They did NOT BREAK CHARACTER! My 9 year old who doesn't really like scary stuff, loved this! My 15 year old who LIVES for scary stuff LOVED it! It was great fun! I definitely got spooked a couple times. Didn't help that the NINJA at the gates targeted me and I fell for it every time hahahahah They do an adult scary labyrinth as well, and will do one on Halloween. One of the guys who puts it all together said "the goal of that one is to make people cry." LOLOL please let me know if you Goto the adult scary version. Haha read more

We 4 adults had a BLAST! LOVED IT! The games seemed handmade but were challenging and super fun. The food and drink options were many and delish! There were cute craft tables with stuff for sale - we bought fun catnip toys for our cats. We went thru the maze twice - once during the family friendly setup and again during the scary setup. This place is ok, it was fun to take some pictures but overall it's kind of shoddily put together. It's located in the back of a school and you can tell it's not a professional effort. I assume there's some charity angle, which is nice, but I couldn't see anything worth spending money on. The place itself is pretty small too, I think we stayed for about 15 minutes. If you're close I would say it's worth checking out, but definitely not worth a trip. read more

Last year's addition of the "haunted trail" was very exciting. Can't wait to see what they come up with this year! They also offer fun and affordable field trips. I took my special education class here for a field trip and it was amazing! It is catered for children grade levels k-2 or younger. For 5$, each of my students got to make a cute little Halloween tote bag, walk through a trail to identify special pumpkins, have a Halloween tale read to them, and the best part choose s tiny pumpkin. My students enjoyed this visit, it was run by parent volunteers who were fabulous! They were very accommodating for my kiddos and even let us walk through the spooky trail that was off limits to most other class field trips. The Halloween walk was put together really well and many of my kids attended the spooky night walk! I would definitely recommend supporting Moreland school district by bringing your toddlers or students k-2! We will be back :) read more

Came here today with my kindergarten class and was hoping for a nice field trip and ended up with an amazing adventure! What a great field trip for our students. We walked through the magical forest (this alone was worth our $5 per student fee), listened to an age appropriate book in a beautiful little out door seating area, colored a small reusable trick-or-treat bag AND a little pumpkin!! My husband and son (8) went to the family friendly Haunted Trail and had a fantastic time. The actors were great interacting with the families and making the kids feel that they are part of the story. The trail was Enter the Wizarding World - with some Harry Potter topics that would make any HP reader happy. Came here with my son's school for a field trip (age 2-5), the kids had a blast. The volunteers were so friendly, activities included story telling, pumpkin trail, art activity and at the end all kids got a small pumpkin home to take home. This is our fourth year visiting the MEF pumpkin patch. I have always enjoyed the small town feel of this patch and if I'm going to spend $15 on a pumpkin I at least want to know that the profits are going to support a good cause. The trail has been put on the past two years by an amazing group of dedicated craftsman & performers! I love the fact that they offer two different types of trails, one earlier in the evening so you can bring your kiddos, and one later for those who are up for more of a scare. I would definitely recommend coming first thing when the patch opens to buy tickets for that evening's haunted trail, this year they've been selling out early. read more

This is such a complete pumpkin patch, and it all benefits a good cause. There are pumpkins, of course, but there are all sorts of activities and games and a haunted trail as well. Each day there are different family friendly activities including international crafts and performances, carnival booths and student bands. I feel really sad writing this as I know the trail is a fundraiser. Yet, I was yelled at this evening by a person who said they were "kind of" security. My son and his friend chose 4 pumpkins to buy. I put them next to me while I waited for them (doing what? I'm not sure. As the only things they could spend their tickets on were face painting and food. And the food consisted of basically nothing). So I sat on one the pumpkins that we had chosen and, hence, the yelling from this pretend security guy. We spent 40 dollars for a few cups of hot chocolate and popcorn. The trail was sold out. So I left the 50 dollars worth of pumpkins we were going to buy and we left. It's sad to say but the trail has lost it's heart. My husband regularly volunteers to help, so don't think we aren't invested in its success. Try treating people nicely and having more fun activities for the kids. Get back to ensuring kids and parents are treated well. read more

Great place for kids. They have stories like 3 little pigs, red riding hood portrayed with a Halloween twist on their scary trail. Also folks who make colored tattoos on kids faces and hands. My 3 n half year old enjoyed the place. read more

Such a good fundraising event for the school! Great activities for kids, Chili Cook-off and reasonably priced refreshments for this type of function. Everything you spend here helps the school's music and arts programs. The volunteers were very kind and helpful at all times. Will repeat this next year. Don't be fooled by reviews. This may have been a fun place in the past but unless you are going late at night there is nothing really to do here. Not to mention staff and founder are very rude about the event. They are snappy and protective over the patch to the point of welcoming themselves to interrupt the middle of conversations and attack any doubts of the event. Simple questions about times of events are rebuttled with defensive behavior for no reason. Very verbally abusive behavior. Very controlling place and would not recommend or ever go back. Also its all about witchcraft and Im not ok with that. The rock climbing folks were amazing but besides that dont waste your money. read more
