Pumpkins and cheap decor
Scott S.

$18 for 30 minutes. Decorations are cheap Spirit/Amazon stuff. Some inflatable stuff but Pump It Up nearby is way better. Cheap junk for sale and candy to tempt your kids. All at crazy markups. I guess... if you're really bored? And kids who have no concept of the waste of money could enjoy it? For me it's a no.

Time for fun with Matt and Skye. Both completed Tons of homework and deserved a mid-day break. 30 minute jumps for 13.00 and 20.00 in paintball shots makes for a fun treat for both kids. Remember make memories for your kids because when they get older they will be more into their girlfriends and boyfriends and jobs. Love the life and have fun.

Table for birthday party in dedicated area

Sylvia and team hosted a birthday party for my 5 year old and his 15 Transitional Kindergarten friends. For an outside jump house, the experience was fantastic and the pricing was very good (especially compare to pump-it-up in the same parking lot). Pick of the Patch Pumpkins allows parties to bring your own food. We chose pizzas from Little Caesars located across the street. The other items drinks, chips, cupcakes, sanitary wipes were from Costco. This was also a cost savings. The team had everything setup and prepared for a wonderful feast in the pumpkin patch. The table, chairs and environment was very clean and well kept. The kids really enjoyed being outside and had a great time. My freshman daughter, who is in a wheel chair was able to move safely around the area and also enjoyed looking at all decorations. Although, our jump time was an hour, everyone stayed longer than expected after the jump to talk, eat and sing happy birthday. Our party was not rushed and the kids loved taking home a pumpkin. They cleaned up when we were finished and helped bring gifts and items to the cars. I could tell the employees wanted the experience to be great for the kids and the parents commented on what fun they had. My family is very happy we had the party hosted there. Can't say enough great things about the place.

Absolutely AMAZING! There are a bunch of jumpers for KIDS ONLY. Two year olds are not allowed on the Rocket Ship one, though, because the stairs for the slide are a bit claustrophobic. Not TONS of pumpkins to choose from, but they are very affordable and nice-looking! We got 6 baby pumpkins, 1 small white, 1 small orange, 2 medium orange, 1 medium white, plus a mechanical dropping spider decoration all for $45. Most pumpkin patches charge that for 2 pumpkins!!! We bought a Groupon for the jump houses which cost $15 for an all day pass. The normal prices are $10 for half an hour, $15 for an hour, and $25 for all day. If you buy an all day pass, you can come and go as you please as long as you still have the wristband. The staff is very nice and the atmosphere is very fun and family-friendly!

Slides and more slides

We've come to this pumpkin patch the last two years and my kids love it, totally geared towards them for sure with all of the jump houses and inflatable slides they have. The pricing per kid to go up and down the slides for a half an hour is a little high but I can't deny my kids from running around and having for for $20. The smiles on their faces make it all worth it! The pumpkin selection is quite extensive and they have it lined up and sectioned properly so you can identify the various sizes and prices for each pumpkin. We have found some of the best pumpkins we've ever purchased at ABC and we don't have to drive way out to Morgan Hill (Uesugi Farms) to find quality. They have pumpkins at the front desk area that are setup to explain the pricing on the pumpkins all the way from the small ones to the largest, you know what you're getting before you begin to shop. Overall the cost to hang out and buy 3-4 pumpkins is around $40 but again not bad considering the convenience and the fun the kids have. We'll be back next year!

This is what $40 will get you. Dec 9th, not even late in the season.
Marissa S.

I purchased a Living Social deal for $40 towards a tree. I take the kids to get a tree and I ask the guy which trees we can pick from. He points to 4 trees that are about 3 ft tall and says, there you go. I laughingly asked him if he was kidding...he looks at me straight faced and says, "no, those are the only trees under $40". He points to their 5 ft trees and tells me those are $49. "If you are asking me which trees are under $40, then there you go." (the charlie brown trees) I go look at the tree list and see 7-8 ft Douglas Firs are $39.99 but guess what? They don't carry those trees and I can't use my deal at a different lot. Maybe I am the idiot for not realizing how expensive trees are these days but come on! Who doesn't carry Douglas Firs and why even have them listed?! So we left with no tree and went to the Kiwanis lot down the street where they were very nice, greeted us with candy canes and a smile, and had way better trees. I'm not sure I'll even go back next year when they do the Pumpkin Patch. Customer service is not this company's strong point but charging you and arm and a leg seems to be.

They will not accept their own coupon posted on their web site for October 2017.
Jackie L.

I took my kids to this pumpkin patch location for years. The slides are fun for them though they got smaller and fewer every year. The lady there had been at this location for years and she remembered us and was a nice lady. The lady stopped working there last year. Today (Sunday, 10/1/2017) our fun was rudely stopped and I will never bring my kids here ever again. The couple now working at the entrance were unprofessional, dishonest, rude and offensive. I presented a printed coupon from their website (www.abctreefarms.net). It stated "Coupon is valid every day from 10/1 to 10/20 and from 10/21 to 10/31 coupon is valid from Monday to Thursday only. ...." (word by word with punctuation). That is, valid every day from 10/1 (today) until 10/20, and then after, only Monday through Thursday. The guy taking tickets said only "Monday to Thursday only" mattered, and refused to grant the coupon because today is a Sunday. But today is 10/1 when the coupon should be valid every day until 10/20. I was very surprised that his English was so poor, so when he said he'd call his boss, I was relieved. I did ask him to read the whole sentence from the coupon to his boss. I don't know how his conversation went with his ABCTreeFarms boss, he came back telling me the coupon is only valid from Monday to Thursday. Then he said "I can do you a favor and take this coupon today", and he looked down at me, asserting his authority and said, "you know I don't have to let you in today". I was mad at this point. I don't appreciate being portrayed as a scammer. A small valued coupon is just a small deal, but the company was being dishonest and that guy tried to put me down. If this company does not want to honor a deal when they have already lured the customers in, they simply should consider not to print the coupon on their website. The employees of this company should get some customer service training, maybe some English language training also. They should also have knowledge of all their current offerings. I voiced my opinion, and I used the word "dishonest". At this moment, the guy and his wife both jumped at me saying they would call the police to remove us from their property because we were disrupting their customers. Even when we went out of the place and stood in the parking lot talking with each other, the guy and his wife came out of their facility, and again threatened to call the police. Well I am certainly telling more of their customers on Yelp now, of this horrible experience. When someone can look at all news and call them "fake news", I guess they can look at black and white printout and point at "Monday to Thursday" and ignore the preceding text saying the restriction only applies after 10/21, but applied every day up until then. One thing for sure, I will not give my money to this pumpkin patch ever again.

We did not enter the trail until 720pm, and that is after getting in line at 640pm. Just be aware. Which is fine, my family had fun and the actors inside are funny and well rehearsed. However, since we waited so long, we got out of the trail around 750pm. My kid wanted to play the carnival games, which close at 8pm, so we bought some tickets to play, and were out to the carnival by 752pm, they had already taken everything down and had only a few simple games still up. My kid was bummed, but I figured since there were no refunds, I could go back and get a snack instead with my tickets. I was denied and told to come back next week to redeem the tickets. I know this is all for a good cause and it really isn't too big of a deal, but it is silly that I literally bought the tickets within a minute and then walked back after the carnival being closed and then denied to even use the tickets on anything else and then told to come back next week. They were told not to sell any tickets since they were closing up the carnival early, but I guess it wasn't communicated well. I guess we will be back to use up the tickets next weekend...?

The farm sits at 2 acres and boasts a variety of fruit trees, some bee boxes, a small flower garden, and a very well stocked farmstand. The stand has a variety of in-season fruits and vegetables, starter plants and herbs (they had tomatoes and strawberries when I visited in April), and a bunch of locally made and seasonal goods. Not everything comes from the farm, but they source from other farms in the Bay Area and state, and local businesses. They also work with local businesses to use their produce for fun products like jams, cocktail mixers, and dried fruits. They have tours and events at the farm, we got a tour when we went and it was really cool to learn all about the history, see the different fruit trees, and then of course visit the farmstand after and shop around.

If you live in the Almaden or Branham area, it's such a cool little hidden gem and definitely worth stopping by. The fruit looked super fresh, though the prices are higher than I expected, more like Whole Foods level prices. I thought going straight to the source would mean much lower prices, but what you lose in price, you definitely gain in freshness. For example, their strawberries were $5 per little green basket (three for $15), which comes out to about $5 a pound. At Costco, organic strawberries are $5.49 for 2 pounds, roughly $2.75 per pound. The giant seeded watermelons were $12.49 here, compared to $6.49 at Walmart. (Suggestions from a visitor) A couple of friendly suggestions that I think would be really helpful: It would be great if they posted online what fruit is in season and what will be at the stand, along with the prices. That way people can plan ahead and know when to make the drive when their favorite fruits are available. Also, there are no signs letting customers know they can go in the back. I only knew because I saw pictures on Yelp. Locals who've been here before probably already know, but as a first-timer, it looked like an employee-only area so I didn't go back there. A simple sign would be awesome, it would bring more people to the back to sit, eat, and enjoy the space since most fruit stands don't have that nice extra feature. Overall, worth visiting if you don't mind paying a bit more for freshness.

This was our second time to this event and we were glad to see some improvements. This year, there were more booths for children. Through the educational and fun activities, you got to learn about the salmons in the Guadalupe River, the importance of eating vegetables, make scary spiders, decorate pumpkins, etc. They even brought out the giant Monopoly pieces for anyone to play. It was fun rooting for the little ones as they mustered their strength to roll those big dice that were each twice the size of the kid. Closer to the music stage, there was a mini straw bale maze for tots. Very cute! All aboard that colorful choo-choo train in front of Children's Discovery Museum and rode around the park. It's good to be a kid. The "carnival game alley" was a great addition but very congested with all the kids, parents and strollers concentrated in one area. As popular as it was, for next year, they should consider allocating more space so the kids could wait safely in line for the games. There were also beautiful hand blown glass pumpkins by local artists for sale. But these fragile pieces got me worried a little with so many little hands reaching to touch them. This was not a full blown pumpkin patch but it did the job for the younger ones and still a fun-filled event. Most of all, it was free to enter. The only issue was probably finding parking. I would recommend taking the light rail. Stress-free (one less thing to worry about for the parents) and it brings you to the front door of Children's Discovery Museum and Discovery Meadow where they hold the annual Pumpkins in the Park.

There are alot of sponsor booths with displays and learning info, an area where you can buy pumpkins and food trucks for food. It may only be hard to get around as there are alot of people and can get crowded. Dillion is where my 1 star comes from. I went a while back and I was buying a bunch of things and I added grape leaves again... and I said the same exact thing, I said please charge me. He ends up over charging me which is fine. The upkeep on a farm is a lot. However, what got me really really pissed off was him lying to me telling me that he was giving me "free produce" but he didn't. I was charged over $100 and I didn't say anything because I'm not the type to bargain or complain. I went home and counted all my produce... this guy charged me for every single item he put "for free" in my bag. This guy threw a garlic in my bag and said "here have you ever tried jumping garlic? I'll throw that in." He didn't throw anything in. Everything was bought and paid for. Guess what? I still came back. Only this time it was for eggs specifically. So I went and this same guy tried charging me $15 for 12 eggs. My question to the owner of the farm, why do you feel the need to be greedy and rip people off who are local and who are trying to support local farms? What is the difference between you and a larger corporation? You're taking advantage of the fact that you got popular or taking advantage of the fact that there are recalls on eggs. I'm so turned off by this farm and as someone who studied permaculture, I'm disappointed and quite frankly, disgusted. I love farmers. I love supporting small businesses because I run a small business and love it so much that I would never ever imagine screwing people over the way you guys screwed me over.
