On your way in and out of the patch they have a cute setup for a family photo. They also have a stand with snacks. The woman working it was very friendly and patient as the kiddos picked their snacks. They have inflatable ducks on water that kids can ride. UPDATED Review: My experience unfortunately changed later in the day…read more I originally came to Lowe's around 8:00 AM for the Mini Cooler Cup giveaway that started at 10:00 AM because my husband was working and really wanted one. My experience that morning was great. The first employee I saw greeted me, answered my questions about where the line would start, and even told me I could sit on the furniture while I waited. The store was clean, peaceful, and everyone was friendly. I really appreciated that part of my visit. However, after receiving the cup, I also received a 20% off coupon to use on a purchase of $100 or more. We ended up spending about $118, so we qualified for the discount. Carlos checked us out and scanned the coupon. We specifically asked him if it worked, and he told us yes. We walked away believing the discount had been applied, but thankfully we checked the receipt before actually leaving the store because the 20% discount was nowhere on it. Had we not checked, we would have left paying more than we were supposed to while believing the coupon had been applied. I went back to the same register, but another employee had taken over. I explained that Carlos had scanned my coupon, told me it worked, but the discount wasn't on my receipt. She told me she couldn't open the register or fix it and that I would have to go to customer service. So then I had to walk all the way over to customer service and explain everything again. What frustrated me even more was that the employee there immediately told me that I was supposed to spend over $100 to use the coupon without even looking at my receipt first. We had spent $118. I felt like the receipt should have at least been checked before assuming that was the problem. Eventually, manager Justin came over and actually looked into what happened. He was able to figure out the issue with the timing of the coupon and honor the discount, and the money was refunded back to my card. I really appreciate Justin taking the time to resolve it. My issue is that this became a much bigger inconvenience than it needed to be. If Carlos had simply verified that the coupon actually applied instead of telling us that it did, the situation could have been addressed right at checkout. Instead, I had to come back into the store, return to the original register, get redirected to customer service, explain the situation again, wait for a manager, and then finally receive the discount I should have gotten in the first place. I don't normally shop at Lowe's for myself; I usually only come along when my husband needs something. Since this was my first time actually making a larger purchase for myself, the checkout experience unfortunately didn't leave a very good first impression. I still want to acknowledge the employees who were kind to me during the giveaway and especially Justin for ultimately fixing the issue, but I hope the checkout/customer-service experience can be improved so another customer doesn't leave the store thinking a coupon was applied when it actually wasn't.

With rows and rows of tackle, I am able to find most lake specific lures, weights, bait, hooks, etc. Sometimes I have to go to the store at the lake itself and get even more specific items, but BPS usually has what I need. Whenever I enter the store, the personnel always ask if I need help or direct me to the area where more specific help can be found. Moreover, the store is dog friendly and has dog treats at the ready. Occasionally, BPS will host a Monday club night whereby if you are a BPS club member, you can stand in line to get a light meal and enter a raffle to win items, but I recommend you go early and stand in line or else there will be no more food left.

Not wanting to risk a long and winding drive to the other farms to possibly find them closed or overcrowded, we decided to relent and go to one of the local lots. We had gotten a tree here once several years back, and decided to give it another chance. With this coronavirus thing going on, it appears that most customers have been pre-ordering the trees for pickup. We didn't do that, because we like to see the trees before purchasing. When we arrived, there were only a small handful of customers - and only a handful of trees left. Fortunately, nearly all of the remaining ones were quite nice, and it took us literally one minute to identify the tree that we wanted. It took longer to review the safety protocols with the person at the entrance than to find the tree. The tree was netted as we paid, which was a nice courtesy since some places charge for this service. Be advised that these trees are more expensive than most other lots, and considerably more expensive than the cut-your-own farms. But you're getting convenience and quality, and also supporting a local charitable organization.

We've been going…read morehere more in the last year or so after we had new landscaping done and needed replacement plants for plants that didn't survive the original planting. We've bought simpler plants like lavender plants as well as a Japanese maple. They have a frequent shopper account that you can accumulate rewards for too. The one thing that's nice is they have a plant guarantee where you can get reimbursed for a plant that doesn't make it, which is great if you don't have a really green thumb. We did use that once for a smaller/cheaper plant and it was no problem. Luckily, the pricier tree has done well. Service is always friendly and responsive. They can recommend suitable plants that fit certain sunlight or water requirements that you might have. Prices are higher than non-nurseries like hardware stores, but the plant quality seems overall higher and the survival guarantee of course is worth a fair amount if you're more of a beginner gardener like us.

But these fine folks deserve more love, so here it is. We first discovered this place in 2019 when there were only 4 reviews. We had already gone through a couple nearby farms without finding a suitable tree, so we turned to Yelp and found this place very close by. We went right by it on the first pass because we assumed that there would be a sign marking the location, but there was none (and there still isn't). We drove tentatively down the hill, wondering what we would encounter at the bottom. What we found was a relatively small farm with a remarkably excellent selection of trees. From the parking area above we immediately spotted several good candidates and then spent over half an hour agonizing over which perfect tree we wanted. Compared to the struggle of finding good trees in the much larger and heavily-trafficked farms, this was refreshingly easy. We returned again today after confirming that they were open for business this year (last year they weren't operating due to Covid-19). When I called to inquire, they told me that they were open by appointment only and sent me a link to their sign-up page. We found a convenient time for this morning. As before, there were numerous great trees and we spent much time fretting about our final choice. Finally a consensus was reached, the tree was felled, and we schlepped it up the slope and lashed it to our car. A short while later it was in our living room, fully decorated and looking fabulous. But what makes the experience here so great are the people who work here. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and given an orientation to the place. As I busied myself with securing the tree to the roof of our car, my family chatted with the friendly folks who live and work here, nibbling on cookies and playing with their dog. Parking is limited so don't just show up without an appointment because you'll just make it hard on everyone else and it's frankly just disrespectful to do so.
