Ever since I bought and maintained a CA fishing license a few years ago, I go to BPS to for most of my fishing needs. With rows and rows of tackle, I am able to find most lake specific lures, weights, bait, hooks, etc. Sometimes I have to go to the store at the lake itself and get even more specific items, but BPS usually has what I need. Whenever I enter the store, the personnel always ask if I need help or direct me to the area where more specific help can be found. Moreover, the store is dog friendly and has dog treats at the ready. Occasionally, BPS will host a Monday club night whereby if you are a BPS club member, you can stand in line to get a light meal and enter a raffle to win items, but I recommend you go early and stand in line or else there will be no more food left. read more

I used to enjoy shopping at Bass Pro Shops, but my experience with the Bluegreen Vacations representatives inside the store has completely changed my opinion. They approached me and pressured me into listening to their sales pitch, and it felt like "no" was never an acceptable answer. The entire interaction was uncomfortable and extremely pushy. After signing up, I did more research and realized it wasn't a good investment for me, so I canceled months ago. Unfortunately, the unwanted contact hasn't stopped. I continue to receive spam calls, and when I tell them I'm not interested, they often end the call abruptly only to call again a few days later. It's become incredibly frustrating. Bass Pro Shops should reconsider allowing this kind of aggressive sales tactic inside their stores. Customers come to shop, not to feel pressured into vacation ownership presentations or deal with persistent calls long after they've declined. Because of this experience, I no longer plan to shop at Bass Pro Shops. It's disappointing that one partnership has negatively affected what used to be an enjoyable place to visit. read more

Went to this location again, let's see if there are any changes: Parking is shared with the other businesses in the area, and there is still enough parking spaces. The service is still nice and friendly and the same as before. The selections are too many to count, this absolutely fantastic , with a wide range to choose from. The selections are so many, you have to really take your time and figure out what you're buying priorities are before you come to this location. The values for your dollars goes a long way with prior planning. Had an issue with a gift card and it was no fault of the store, corporate just didn't update their SOPs. Jose C (the guest service manager) and I forgot his name but he was a shorter Latino male were on top of everything. They went above and beyond to solve my gift card issue. The store itself is extremely clean and neat, prices are very fair and already there. Why wait to order online elsewhere? The selections are vast and plentiful, so much to to choose from. Came to this store for the first time to pick up some ammunition that I ordered online. BTW, this greatly reduces the wait time as the lines can get long. The sales associates do not rush in order to shrink the lines quickly, so one can be there for a while. That being said my wait was about 15 minutes on a late morning on Friday. This store is massive and a sporting goods lover's dream. The staff in other departments were helpful and courteous. I am definitely going back. We like to come on black Friday every year. Digging in their discounted bins of items is fun and we love their Christmas decor. We walked away with some cute matching pajamas at a low price, because why not it's Christmas and a time to be cheesy and festive. Also this year I met some very nice ladies who have a Hilton vacations booth. I couldn't resist Amy's friendly sales pitch and purchased their vacation package, which really isn't a bad deal. Eventhough you have to sit through a timeshare presentation during your vaca, it's a small amount of time out of your day and they usually provide food and drinks. You may want to check it out! Ask for Amy or Jessica who were both awesome. The staff at Bass Pro are helpful and friendly. It's my favorite place to go for my outdoors or sport related gear. read more

Bass Pro is Bass Pro an all American staple , so what can you say it usually comes down to service. On the people service the store is excellent. Helpful and always willing to do what is needed. However at this visit have to say super disappointed in the restroom situation , all stand up urinals in the men's bathroom out of order , one of three stalls out of order. For women's restroom not sure but based on the line it must have similar issues. Come on it's the holiday season get someone in overnight to fix it. We just left , so no Christmas shopping here this year. But again Bass Pro is Bass Pro , so I'm hoping next season when a rush of customers the management of this site will think about the customer little more. I've purchased several items, including firearms over the last few years. I really didn't mind the long waiting times because I thought the customer service was pretty darn good; I've dealt with really helpful employees here. Today was a different story. I scheduled online to complete the ppwk to pick up a firearm for Wednesday, April 29th @ 9:00am. I know that getting there early on the weekdays is the key to not having to wait in line. I got there about 9:02am. I told the gentleman, a middle-aged Latino man with a gray beard and mustache, at the gun counter that I had a 9:00am appointment. He told me that he wasn't ready and was still setting up and to join the queue by registering at the kiosk. I registered at the kiosk and got a text from Bass Pro at 9:35am that my 9:00am appointment had been cancelled. Now, I was number five in the queue and it was now 10:45am. I had to leave for another appointment. I was not a happy camper. Driving to my next appointment, I called for a manager. I told Marcos the situation and he would get back to me to investigate what transpired. He called and left a message. His message relayed that I didn't get there until 9:16am and that there were several customers ahead of me so my appointment could not be accepted. That was the most ridiculous thing I ever heard; someone was trying to cover their @ss or @asses. This will be my last purchase at Bass Pro stores and I will shop from an independent store where they take accountability and take care of their customers. read more

I've had an overall positive experience at Bass Pro. I've been here for firearms and ammunition, but the wait time is a bit too long. If you're here for firearms, be sure to sign up at the kiosk for a waitlist number at the firearm section. I've waited 1-1.5hours to be helped since hunting season (I think). I've waited for an hour or so in line for ammunition with one or two workers. The staff members are professional, helpful, and nice, but each customer takes around 5 to 10 minutes at the ammo section. Lines are usually 8+ people long whenever I come on a weekday at 11 AM. What I learned from other customers is to buy ammo in bulk so you come in once or twice a year. I'm satisfied with Bass Pro, just be sure to spend some time waiting (if it's related to firearms and ammo). read more

Finally decided to tag along with my husband and check out what this place was all about. He always brings our daughter because of the ginormous fish tank they have and the kids are amused for sure. I could not believe how big this place is. And there's definitely something for everyone. Every time I go, if I'm being honest, I mainly stick to the women's clothing section. I've gotten some good deals on jeans and overalls that I use to work outside in. The kids toy & entertainment section is definitely going to ensure that your child will not be leaving the store empty-handed lol. I see a lot of people complaining about the lack of customer service, but to be honest, I'm just one of those people who prefer not to be tailed around the store or peppered with questions while I'm trying to shop. I know how to find my own sizes and I know where the fitting rooms are, so if I have any questions, I will approach someone, but I've never needed to. The store is very clean and extremely spacious. I try not to spend much time myself in front of the huge fish tank where the kids like to hang out because honestly, it definitely smells like a fish tank over there. The smell can be a bit nauseating if you're sensitive to those kinds of things. Huge parking lot. I would avoid this place on the weekends though because it's packed and lines are long. And I would definitely avoid this place on weekends during holiday season. Much like any place people are busy getting gifts and around Christmas time they bring a Santa Claus in for the kids, which is pretty popular. So your best bet is to visit the place during the weekdays. We have encountered panhandlers a couple times standing outside this location. Sometimes it's just a singular dude asking for money and sometimes it's a whole family trying to work your emotions. It can be a little unsettling, especially if you have younger children. Omggg such weird and bad vibes!! The first two employees to greet us at the front door immediately tried to get us to join their membership, but politely left us alone when we declined. Then after briefly looking at overalls, we were roped into another sales pitch. The employees were grabby and salesy with little real rapport. They had me enter all my information to "enter a raffle," but they insisted I shouldn't even put my ticket into the raffle bucket where other tickets were sitting. Then the general area manager was called over and after asking if I was my partner's wife and then congratulating us when we said we weren't there yet (what are you even congratulating us on lol) she repeatedly tried to sell us the Hilton vacation package until I firmly but politely said we couldn't commit to it. She had this cold look in her eyes as she shook our hands and said, "Have a great day." Honestly gave me the creeps! Two stars I guess for having quality stock and one person being able to answer our question about availability of stock. And nice fish decoration on the concrete path leading to the store lmao We ended up going to Stevens Creek Surplus where they had the exact same Carhartt overalls but in more colors and cheaper too. I've bought $1000 worth of ammunition and one of ammo cans I left the Ammo can one in the shopping carts tried to call and nobody picks up. It's literally right outside. The door lol I guess I'll take the loss my fault for leaving it . But come on how is nobody going to answer any of the lines the only person that really did answer . Was the operator. Bass Pro Shops has a lot of good deals on guns and ammo but the service and policies is the absolute worst I've ever experienced. They do 11 day waits instead of the usual 10 for whatever reason and the employees are totally unaware of California law. Mention an X91 exemption and they'll tell you that you are wrong and need to buy a Sport Fishing License. Waited 2 hours just for a pickup after DROS and the 11 day hold. Pay the fee to ship to your LGS or other FFL instead. read more

He really loves Bass Pro Shops, and we come here often because it's one of the very few places he actually enjoys going to in public.Each time we come, all the staff at this location offer a smile and are very helpful and welcoming. Even if we are just walking around and looking. It is rare to have inclusive businesses and to feel like we are not a bother is a big deal. Similar to other reviews, my experience for trying to purchase a firearm was very much the same. My husband and I stood at the display case for a good ~ 20 mins. before walking out. No one made eye contact with us, gave us instructions on the 'que' procedure I'm reading about either. Another guy who had been waiting longer than we were had a similar experience as well. We drove from the east bay specifically for this purpose and ended up frustrated and leaving empty handed. We went to a local FFL in Milpitas who had what we needed and then sum with NO wait time. I rarely leave reviews, but my experience at this gun store was frustrating enough that I feel it's worth sharing. The customer service was surprisingly poor -- the staff seemed uninterested in helping and acted as if answering basic questions was a burden. The guy name Shawn. He didn't even try to help me with the amo. It was my first gun and he didn't even try to help me what kind of amo is good for my gun. Even the manager had a bad manner and didn't even help me and refused to help me too. It took me 5 hours to wait to get the test and 3 hours to get in progress for the gun. And when i came back to pick up the gun another 3 hours and got refused to buy ammo. Dont come to this store if you don't want to waste your time and get bad service. It's one thing to be busy, but there's no excuse for being rude or condescending to customers, especially in a store where professionalism and safety should come first. I left without buying anything and took my business elsewhere, where I was treated with respect and patience. If you value good service and knowledgeable staff who actually want to help, I recommend going to a different store. Vastly under staffed in specific departments such as Firearms and Ammo. Luckily, there was no line today in the Ammo department which, as even the associates working told me, is VERY RARE. Normally the wait time can be 30-45 minutes on a weekday. Let's talk Firearms department ... only 1 associate working. Staffing throughout the rest of the store where, on most days there is very few customers, was quite overloaded. Greater management is needed to allocate the right associates to the right departments and be fluent in their transition to meet customer demands. I love it here but I want to mention that on i believe Friday sep 19th or so a woman was being trained at cashier. She was so sweet with long hair but the WOMAN that was training her was such a nasty person. She was speaking to the trainee like she was stupid or something. The only reason I didn't say anything was bc my own husband gave me the look to not intervene but wow. She was a heavier set lady with a nasty nasty attitude. I felt so bad for the woman training. Beautiful place!!! I came with my family around 8:30pm, and everyone was welcoming and friendly--except for one particular TEAM LEAD who seemed to be following us around the store. It wasn't intimidating since we weren't stealing, but it was definitely irksome. At times, he was literally in our way, and we had to walk around him. It felt like we were doing laps around him, which was unnecessary extra exercise. He made the shopping experience very uncomfortable because being "watched" would make anyone feel uneasy. It was obvious he was following us, which my mom and I noticed instantly. I didn't mention it to my brothers or dad to avoid ruining the experience of the fresh, outdoor amusement-park-like atmosphere that Bass Pro Shop provides. However, it was hard to ignore. I just wanted to show my family this beautiful place and pick up some pepper spray for me and my mom if they had it, but the experience felt ruined. I don't know what made him suspect us, but his judgment seemed way off. How could my dad--an 84-year-old man--be seen as a flight risk for shoplifting? Think about it: if a family comes in with an elderly man and moves slowly together as a group, it's clear we aren't leaving him behind for some grand theft scheme. At checkout, he was lingering near the exit, and as soon as we walked through the doors--slowly, because my dad cannot walk fast--he walked away. I'd suggest he use this experience to improve how he assesses customers. What would he have done if the security alarm had gone off? I doubt he'd act the same way toward people who actually seemed suspicious. After leaving, I told the rest of my family what had happened, and they were bummed out, though we still enjoyed our shopping experience otherwise. We brushed it off, but we definitely talked about it over dinner. He's just doing his job... or at least he should be. Instead of leading a team, he was more focused on watching very obvious non-thieves. As for the shopping experience itself, the store is amazing and fun to explore! The immersive outdoor decorations are wonderful, and the indoor fish tank left us in awe. We were greeted warmly at the door and told to ask for help if needed. When we couldn't find the pepper spray, an employee who was stocking shelves stopped what he was doing and walked us to the correct section. Super nice! The pepper spray prices were reasonable compared to Amazon. I'd recommend gel versions since they're easier to aim and don't cause back spray (at least from what I've read). The cashier was also kind and prepared a bag for us before we even reached the counter, making the checkout process smoother. He even mentioned that he wanted to make it easier for us by having the bag out right away, and his cheerful attitude made us forget about the earlier awkwardness--at least for a moment. Unfortunately, seeing that same team lead at the exit brought back all the negative emotions. I wish I had said something at the time, but whatever... I'm sure he'll see this review. Anyway, TL;DR: I wanted to show my family the beautiful shopping experience Bass Pro Shop has to offer, especially my dad, since he's getting older. New experiences are good for him. This place is huge and has seemingly everything. But Firearms department is insanely slow and they are in no rush to get to the line of customers. I get that they want to be friendly and chatty and maybe some people want that from the local big box store, but when there is a line of folks waiting, it was too much. Went in for pickup and it takes roughly an hour for them to get through a customer. Ended up cancelling order that I was there to process and will just order from an LGS where likely more expensive but at least purchase and pickup aren't going to be two separate 2+ hour processes. Am sure if you are shopping there for clothing or fishing gear that is on the shelf, it's a great place to go. But I'm steering away from their FFL services. read more
