Bullseye seems to be a LGS that is somewhat recommended for PPT in the South Bay and today is the first time I've been there. It's surprisingly busy for a small store but then almost all the LGS can be somewhat busy. The plaza is very small and parking can be difficult. Also be careful when you back out because you have to back out into the main street. The store is not very big and it's mostly catered towards newer guns as it has a small used/consignment section. People are nice enough and they didn't quell when you do PPT there. They don't charge extra for PPT but they do charge 3% extra for credit card. I found the price of the guns there to be slightly expensive so I wouldn't say this is a good place for deals. The form you fill out for DROS is online and you do it on your phone with a QR code. It's pretty cool but can be hard if you have a small phone. read more

California's new law requires parts ordered online to be shipped to an FFL. I chose them since their store came up as an FFL accepting gun part shipments. The way the guy explained it to me at the store was they charge per shipment (box) so if you tell the online store to shove everything in one box it counts as one transaction. It was a flat $25 fee for them to verify your CA DL name matches the name for the gun parts shipment. Overall easy experience picking up my parts, I would come back. read more

Called ahead of time to get information about a Private Party Transfer. The gentleman that helped me on the phone was extremely helpful very nice and gave me all of the information that I needed before arriving in San Jose coming from Santa rosa. When I arrived on Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. sharp there was a line of four parties. We were able to get in and out roughly 30 minutes total to do one transfer. As we waited though multiple groups began to pile up but they still processed the PPT quick and easy. It's a small shop with a small eccentric inventory. read more

The PPT process I experienced here was fair, I was treated well. DROS is done on your phone through a QR code. My only complaint is that PPT customers get put on the back burner. Even when picking up, the employee helping me stopped halfway through the sign out paperwork to answer a phone call and left me waiting at the counter, to the point where I thought he forgot about me. read more

Pros: - This is a small but a local business that has great service. If you are confused on a firearm that you want to purchase, the staff here will not hesitate to help you. Fun fact: Most of them are former military. - Their FFL business is pretty decent despite the license's pricing has gotten more expensive in 2025. (Meaning for online purchases, you can have them delivered here) - A whole selection of firearms for sale. If you do buy here, you don't have to worry about the 11% excise tax that is applied to firearms (This tax only applies to online purchases unfortunately). Cons: - Parking is small so you have to make sure you are able to park nearby. I suggest parking at the lot next to Walgreens and just walk there. - No shooting range. Unfortunately because it's at the heart of San Jose, it's difficult to have a range implemented to the store. Overall amazing gun store and staff. If this is your first time buying a gun then I have to say this place is amazing to do so. If you are nervous then I get it but trust me when I say these people are trying to help you as much as possible. read more

I took time and consideration to articulate my words for this review and mention the real issues of this place oppose to personal feelings and emotions. I purchased a Glock 22 on Feb 22, 2024. My pick up date was March 3rd 2024 since that was a Sunday and they're closed I came in on the following day March 4th 2024 at 11am. When I arrived to pick up my gun they told me that I couldn't get my gun today due to certification issues with the Ca DOJ. As I asked when was the shutdown I was told Saturday March 2nd, 2024. My first issues was why wasn't I the consumer who already paid for my firearm notified about this? Days went by and there were no updates. I literally called twice everyday. Until March 15,2024 at 4:55pm, I decided to get a refund for my purchased firearm. I went to LC Action on N First Street in San Jose Ca and purchased another firearm. Aside from the long wait due to bad business and poor communication to consumers. Alfredo was the worst. Despite the bad business practice he's the only one who caused the experience to be unpleasant. I came in today to view my receipt from return of firearm at 12:15 and I was the first person on list to get helped. I left at 12:45 because I was tired of waiting. I found it amusing that he took time to answer and converse with an individual that signed his name on list 2 slots after mine. Rather than take the route of angry and aggressive because I will be labeled as a bully, I just decided to write my review. Avoid this shop but if you have to go then avoid Alfredo. read more

Save your money and don't waste time with these cl0wns. I should've spent more time researching but figured going to a small store like this would provide friendlier expertise and plus i thought the prices were about the same (they said it was for the gun i was buying). I was wrong. They were rude, arrogant and dulishonesr. If you drive a couple miles further to Bass Pro Store, you'll a heck of lot more expertise from their gun shop personnel (these guys knew their guns), professional and the prices are 15% cheaper. The gun I bought was more than 20% cheaper. At bulleyes, the one I bought had a small knick and when I pointed it out, the guy just said, 'yeah.' That's it. Also, they didn't lie only about the price (said they're all the same price cuz of popularity) but after taking my DL for the background check, they forgot to give it back to me. So did I until I got home. I called them but they swore they gave it back to me. I knew they were lying so I gave them an out by saying, if they happen to find it somewhere, if they could call me. 10 days later, a day after I reordered a new DL, they called me stating their NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR found it in the parking spot in front of their store. After 10 days and on the ground outside, no less? Ridiculous, yeah, right. When I went to pick it up, I checked all possible stores and they said no, not true. Then i went in and again the 3 guys in the store said they found it outside when the 4th guy who was not privy to the conversation came in and admitted the employee who initially took my card told him, he forgot and had it in his pocket the whole time! I told them I wasted $35 to replace my card and instead of reimbursing me, they'd only give me credit for a $25 pack of bullets. This place is a joke. read more

Unlike some of the folks giving this place a bad rating based on personal issues and expectations, I've been here twice as a first time gun owner and have had all my questions answered without feeling like a newbie--plus recommendations for any and all parts my firearm needed--AND expert maintenance advice anyone would need starting out. I've watched so much YouTube thinking I could just purchase and install upgrades myself but the moment I run into an issue with part compatibility or technical tolerance, I call in and explain my situation. The folks here know exactly how to point me in the right direction, as they've all had years ahead of me and have learned so much through trial and error with their own setups. They even helped me install parts I didn't realize were stocked (or that I knew I needed) until I gave them a call. Can't get that type of experience/advice at Bass Pro Shop.. I've had zero issues understanding what I need to know about my first gun, especially when it comes to shopping for upgrades and improving the performance of my build. Been wanting to visit this shop for a couple of weeks but haven't found time to make it to that part of town. I finally made it in and I could say these guys rock! Like other firearms and ammo stores, this shop is wiped clean of 9mm also but I was able to pick up a few boxes of 9mm for home defense. No FMJ for the range in stock yet but I hope this shortage will be over soon! Anyway, I couldn't help myself and picked up a couple of goodies on my way out such as an ammo crate and Trijicon HD night sights ($165 plus tax). I didn't have my pistol with me but one of the associates generously offered to help me install them if I wanted to drop in again. I'll have to take him up on that offer since I plan on returning to pick up more accessories for my babies. Loved how easy going these guys were, appreciated how their shelves weren't completely emptied out, and enjoyed my overall experience. I'm a fan! read more

Upon arrival, there were about 3 or 4 people in front of me but it went by pretty quickly. Brian assisted me with the paperwork and explained everything in full detail. I have been attempting to get a backup receipt for a firearm purchased at a gun show in Valejo, CA...its taken at least 10 requets and calls...still dont have a simple receipt that I requested. on my last request, the staff gaslighted me for not keeping the receipt. Giving this shop a one star would give them zero if I could . So many gun shops like this one that 1 staff member ruins the whole bunch . Almost like the saying 1 bad apple spoils the whole barrel . I already knew going into this it was going to be a bad experience but was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt . So here is where my bad experience begins . First red flag I encounter is I call in the morning asking for what their policy is on private party transfers since I have been up and down the Bay Area at many gun shops as I am a true collector and like to see what prices are etc . And know from experience that many gun shops have certain policies when it comes to private party transfers such as certain hours they do them , certain days , or even appointments needed or if they even do them at all where I have been to a shop where they even told me they don't currently since " we don't have any room in our safes to hold for ten days." So I get a gentleman on the phone by the name of Tony and proceed to ask if they do private party transfers what is the policy he responds very sarcastically " well we wouldn't be an ffl if we didn't do transfers , why are you wasting my time with this question " then I tell him " hey man sorry ,I just know every shop has their own policy " then he says "well they are not a real shop they should do transfers until they close they should not have a cut off time " then I ask " well what can I tell them if that's their own policy " he says very rudely and obnoxiously " I don't care what you tell them !" So Im thinking ok this guy definitely woke up on the wrong side of bed this morning . So I decide not to do the transfer there since I honestly didn't want to deal with this man , but I had to go there anyway because I was going with my cousin to pick up his first handgun so he was super excited I couldn't tell him no . Long story short this guy Tony was still there helping my cousin sign out his newly purchased hand gun and was trying to up sell him on "private training sessions" some expensive jacketed hollow points that he doesn't need since we are going to just shoot some paper targets and since I'm telling my cousin you don't need training sessions and JHP Tony gets upset and asks me " what agency are you from ? Where have you been trained ?" Ive been around firearms my entire life my Grandfather being a Decorated Korean War Vet and three of my uncles served in the Vietnam War so I know a little about how to safely handle a firearm so with that being said being attacked just because I'm trying to save my young cousin some money off training he does not need or expensive ammo he won't be using at the range no one should be attacked by any employee as in the end the name of the game is customer service .
