I was in need of some San Francisco 49er gear and wanted to check out Dick's sporting goods to see what they had to offer. Right when you walk in, they had a big section of 49er apparel and accessories. I really loved the selection of hats they had. I was hoping they would have more offerings of women's apparel, but the selection they had was small. There was a 49er top with red sequence all over it. It was beautiful but they only had two of them and neither were my size. The price for the top was $75, which I thought was a bit expensive. I decided on two 49er hats for myself and my husband. I headed to the checkout and was immediately helped. I asked to young lady at the checkout if they had more offerings for the 49er gear. She directed me to the back of the store where she said there were more items. I paid for my hats and then went to the back of the store where she suggested. There was a section there, as she claimed, but it was all football jerseys priced at $130 and above. I was happy with the purchase of the hats and left the store. It might be better to check online first before going to the store to find 49er gear for women. read more

I found what I was looking for super quick and they have a couple fitting rooms which is nice! They have a huge selection if local team merch, shoes and gear. Not the best, but decent selection of sports equipment, I normally don't go to this establishment but I was looking for a TRX Fit system suspension trainer for strength training that I can use on go or display in my garage gym. It seems to me that if you're looking for sports equipment, branded appeal, golf equipment, and other smaller items - - you'll definitely find what you're looking for. Truthfully if you're looking for larger fitness equipment, they don't have a lot of it on display, mostly those items you can order on their website. I was able to snag one at a great price since they price match with Amazon. For me that deal is worth the drive alone. Their was a decent amount of staff working on the floor and when one of them noticed I needed assistance since the one I wanted was way on top and required a ladder, staff was quick to help and rung me up immediately! Came in to browse the Super Bowl stuff, seen they have "25% off" all 49ers headwear and merchandise $20.00-$750. Manager Kristen was very rude and laughed about it (the customer is always right learn that) and her employee Alison had a attitude the whole time and when I asked her name she purposely held up her name badge backwards after I just asked her manager and she could at least say it. Been shopping at Dicks for many years will not be back to this one ever again. read more

I will give it a zero for price, but then again, I'm not sure how much these things should cost. Gavin's basketball went over the fence during lunch recess and was deemed missing forever, so I told him I would get him a replacement. He's also starting to get into football as well, so I told him I can get him a football. I saw the price of the football, but the basketball was in a bin w/ 20 million other basketballs, so I figured it's either on sale or it's a "cheap" basketball for whatever reason. As we were walking out, I suggested that he gets a gym bag to put his basketball and football in. His backpack cannot bare anymore weight. When I got my total, I was shocked to see how much the basketball was. I don't remember picking a solid gold basketball. It's a great store if you or your loved ones need anything related to outdoors and sports including drinks w/ electrolytes and snacks that are high in protein. It's a big store and can be overwhelming. I would suggest to not walk around otherwise you may be making unnecessary purchases. read more

Found some great deals on some Nike Air Monarchs and New Balance 608's I was looking for a specific size 13 4E extra wide and size 10. The 13 4E for my left shoe because I wear a AFO brace on my foot from a bad auto accident 20 years ago 2003 the size 10 for my right side. That is my normal size. Using the AFO brace I need to find the specific size to fit this monster brace and has always been a challenge. Could not find them at DSW or online or the regular shoe places. So I decided to try Dick's sporting goods in San Jose Ca. The young men in the back took care of me and did there job. I tried the KEEN brand and HOKA and BROOKS brand and could not find the 4E extra wide to fit the brace. Nike and New Balance did the trick. They were the only type of shoe that made the 4E extra wide for me to fit the brace in. I will be a regular customer of Dicks Sporting good as long as they are open. Best part of this whole review is that the two pairs of shoes were under $200.00 each time. Fit my budget and helped me continue my physically challenged body from the auto accident. Don't DRINK & DRIVE. It will kill you. read more

Let's just say right when we walked in they were on us for no reason and yelled at my fiance for trying to find sizes in shirts should could of been nice about it as a managero heard how she was approaching him. No one was there to help me with shoe size and was following us the whole time. I been a manager in retail and we never made people feel uncomfortable. Went to Dick's with my boyfriend to browse SuperBowl merch. He saw that 49ers Apparel and Headwear were 25% off. He tried to get a CMC jersey and the employee, Allison, did not want to apply the 25% off discount saying that the "sign says jerseys are excluded". Nowhere on the sign did it say that jerseys were excluded. So why make things up? Allison called over her manager, Kristin, who was also rude about not applying the discount. They need to fix their signage to be correct and learn some serious customer service skills. read more

One of the team members pulled my credit without me acknowledging that it was happening. That dropped a few points creating a hard inquiry on my credit. The manager Christine would not budge for any type of compensation for the work that I would have to do to remove that off of my credit. Other than saying "it was an honest mistake" as if a gift card was going to personally come out out of her paycheck. Same thing with corporate customer service. What a greedy corporate company. Went shopping at the Blossom Hill store two days ago. Found a pair of shoes. Went to the cashier to purchase and asked to price match Zappos (who had the identical shoes, size, color, and in stock for immediate delivery). The cashier said they don't match sales price, only regular list prices. THAT IS NOT WHAT THE POLICY STATES and refused to discount the shoes $10. So we left and I ordered from Zappos. I have also confirmed with Dick's customer service that the cashier should have price matched for me. Recommend you don't shop this store, and buy from Zappos instead for a better deal. The store manager needs to educate his/her employees on company policies. read more

I usually love DSG but my recent experience this week both in-store and online has left me pretty disappointed. First, I purchased baseball pants online for pickup at the store (also using my $20 rewards) but my son informed I got the wrong size. We went to the store to pick out the correct size (same exact pants, same color just a size smaller). I went to pick up the online order to conduct an exchange but was told they cannot do a straight exchange for online orders. They proceeded to cancel my online order and told me I had to do a separate purchase of the replacement pants. Normally this is fine but I was also told they could not use the rewards certificate as that was used on the online order and will get credited back in a few business days. They admitted this is just a hassle with online ordering and they have no control over it. So I ended basically losing my rewards certificate as I do not anticipate any future purchases at this time and they expire within a month. Next, I had ordered shoes for our son online which had to get shipped as they were not available locally. It took a while for them to arrive and when they did we opened the box to discover that DSG left the Sensormatic tag on the shoe (see photo). So our son cannot wear the shoes until we find time to go to a store to see if they can remove the security tag. Whoever is working at the DSG store shipping these shoes out must really hate their job. These events happened within a day together so my feeling about DSG is not so great and I think once service deteriorates, it signals the start of a downfall, especially for brick and mortar stores. read more

I've been to Dick's Sporting Goods a few times since it opened, but this was the first time I think I've made a purchase. I was in need of new all-purpose tennis shoes, so I made a beeline straight to the back of the store where the shoes were. I noticed customers using kiosks to place their requests for shoes to try on, so after I looked around, I scanned the shoes, sizes, and colors I wanted and found a spot to sit and wait. An employee brought out the two shoes I wanted to try. The first pair I tried on felt good, so I set those aside to purchase. The second box he brought out was smashed, and one of the shoes was also indented due to the damage. I didn't actually like the feel of the second pair. As I was getting ready to leave the shoe area, I let the employee know that one of the shoes was damaged. Instead of thanking me for letting him know, he had the audacity to tell me it wasn't like that when he brought it out to me. Uh, excuse me? You think I somehow bent the shoe and box during the 5 minutes I was trying on shoes? Puhleez. I'm giving him the benefit of doubt and guessing he was just having a bad day. It's convenient to have a big sporting store like Dick's nearby, but the poor customer service resulted in just a 3-star review. read more

It's a GIANT warehouse sporting store. They have so much sporting goods. I bought myself a TRX fit system to do my workouts at home when I can't go to the gym. They always have a great selection of what I'm looking for, it's worth the drive a couple hours over. Goods are always extremely clean, shine and well organized. Really great store! Although most items too expensive with limited discounted items. The staff was awesome and helpful. Either way I was in and out rather quickly. I feel if a store member leaves you with a lasting good experience and someone goes out of their way to do a review -- that on its own says a lot. I came in for the memorial sale on the hydroflask in search of the pretty agave color and could not find it. Asked the associate up front and he looked it up and said it was located in the back and he went out of his way to bring it up to me. THANK YOU. I always worry I'm inconveniencing staff when I ask them to check something in the back, but the associate, who I later found out is named Ernie, did not make me feel that way. But that's not where this review is stemming from. I then went to the accessories to find the boot that goes on the bottom of the bottle and could not find it in my size despite the website stating that there were plenty in stock. I was able to flag down not one but two other associates to help me find the item, but they both basically brushed me off; stating that if I place an order pick up "someone could look more into it". Like great yall want me to make another trip back here I guess. Whatever. On my way out I happened upon Ernie once again and told him I was not successful in finding the boot, he immediately checks his device, finds it, retrieves it from the back for me. Quick and fast. We honestly need more caring associates like Ernie who are actually helpful for their guests. I went to the front to pay and wanted to flag down a manager to speak on my experience with him, only for them to let me know that Ernie is in fact the manager. Goes to show! NEVER BUY A BIKE FROM HERE!!! I bought a bike for my daughter for Christmas. She ended up getting gifted a bike by someone else. In any case, they would not return the bike although it was unused, stickers still on it, never touched the floor. Their is NO NOTICE when you buy a bike online that they must be returned within 24 hours even if brand new and unused. Crazy because how would that even be possible on Christmas, especially if it's a gift. You'd have to buy it and gift it the same day. HORRIBLE policy and manager made no effort to consider the holidays or any helpful advice. I'm still questioning the legaility that there is no notice when checking out that this is an exception to the normal return policy. read more

3/5/25 11:30am, was in store asked person where are the binoculars and he pointed me in direction. went in direction and couldn't find it, walked around asked another guy who pointed me in same direction. then asked him if i could see it to which he replied its probably under a case but i dont have the key and then walked away. i have bought many things from dicks online and i realized there is no need for me to be in a store unless im returning an item bought online. the online process is very good receiving the package most of the time by the next week. dicks has alot of good stuff but buying online is the way to go if you dont want to waste time. read more
