I had an amazing experience receiving outstanding customer service from Anita this afternoon. After trying on five pairs of cleats I came back to the original pair I started with. She just smiled and asked how they fit! If you are a fan of Bayern Munich then you're in good company, as she knows the players by name, and loves the team. I went in there for the first time last fall to buy my son a pair of soccer cleats for his high school freshman team. My first time purchasing cleats, I had no idea what to look for. Was hoping to get some advice and recommendations as this is a specialty store, but the employees could not have been less helpful. I've been coming here for years but on my most recent visit, the customer service was terrible. I needed new cleats for my daughter so I asked the salesperson to help get her measured. She pointed to the measurement tool and made no effort to help us interpret or use it (for instance my daughter put the wrong foot on it - nothing was said). No words were exchanged throughout this whole process. I asked to see a cleat in a particular size which was eventually brought out to me but when we needed the next size up, the salesperson had disappeared into the back and didn't come back out (no other customers were in the store). At that point we left the box on the bench and left the store. I drove over to soccer pro around the corner where I was in and out in ten minutes with the correct size of the same cleat, with two different people who happily helped me out and actually helped me get the correct sized cleat. In an era where we can buy these products much cheaper online, the main value of going to a store like this is to get properly sized and to get some help from a live person. But if the store is unable to provide that value then I cannot justify continuing to give them my business. read more

JERSEYS & MY LUCKIEST JERSEY (I WIN AT VEGAS WHEN I WEAR IT) Some people collect basketball jerseys, baseball jerseys, football jerseys, and athletic shoes. I collect soccer jerseys. My first soccer jersey I bought was in 2002. I was going to Japan for the World Cup and at the time I was an England supporter (no as an American I'm not Benedict Arnold). I bought a red Umbro England soccer jersey that had no name and number. When I was at Japan I wore that jersey when England played Brazil in the World Cup Quarterfinal. I didn't attend the game, but watched it at a British pub in Osaka, Pig and Whistle. England lost 2-1. Eventually that jersey would become my unluckiest jersey. I would call it "The English Curse" because I would wear that jersey when England would lose in the quarterfinals of a major tournament. I wore that jersey again in 2004 as I watched at Kip's in Berkeley when England play against Portugal in the 2004 Euro Quarterfinal. England would tie the game at 2-2 in overtime, but would lose in the penalty kicks. The last time I wore that jersey was when I went to Germany for the 2006 World Cup. I watched England play Portugal in the Quarterfinal at Gelsenkirchen, Germany. It ended in penalty kicks; I sat at the goal side where the penalty kicks was taken. As you guess England lost again. When I came back to the US I gave away that jersey to my friend. Since 2006 after the World Cup I started buying quite a number of soccer jerseys. My luckiest, not necessary favorite jersey is the red Roma jersey with the player Totti and his number 10. In 2011 I went to Vegas to watch Marquez-Pacquiao III in November with my friend. I was staying at Caesars Palace for three nights where I paid $73 per night. (Yes you read that $73 per night I got that deal because I booked it in July.) Since I was staying at Caesars Palace I wanted to get a Roman theme shirt with the hope it would give me good luck. I decided to buy a Roma jersey with the name Totti as Francesco Totti is considered the best player ever in Roma. That red Roma jersey gave me good luck while I was gambling in Vegas. During that weekend I won about $900, which paid off my trip. I only wear that Roma jersey when I go gambling at casinos in Vegas. It has given me good luck as I either break even or win. Last year in March I won close to $200 in craps at Caesars Palace when I wore that jersey. In April of last year I won $525 on the slot machine at the Flamingo when I wore that jersey. (Hint if you want good luck at Vegas if you see someone wearing a red Roma jersey with the name Totti it's most likely me - rub next to me I'll give you good karma.) I did buy a white Roma jersey that I paid for $10 and customized it to have Totti and the number 10 for an additional $15. I was hoping that white jersey would give me could luck at any Indian casinos. That white Roma jersey never gave me luck at Cache Creek or Red Hawk Casino, but that maybe due to the quality of the jersey. There's a reason why that jersey was $10 as the lettering from the jersey began to peel off. About a month ago I came to this location for the first time and saw several Roma jerseys including the white one. Last Sunday I came here hoping to get white Roma jersey with Totti and his number 10 customized at the back. The worker stated the store doesn't carry that name and number. So I continued to look at other jerseys. One jersey that stood out was the 2014 Spain World Cup jersey. Even though Spain didn't qualify past the first round that jersey was better looking than the 2010 jersey, which I have and is the year Spain won the World Cup, because of the red and gold - similar to the 49ers colors. I asked if the store carried Xavi and the number 8. The reason I asked for Xavi is because I believe he's the greatest player in Spain history due to his success with his club football Barcelona and his success with the national team (2 Euro Championships and World Cup Championship). At first the store stated it did have the name Xavi and the number 8 but the lettering style was for the black jersey. A few moments later one of the coworkers stated the store carries the gold lettering and number for Xavi. Since the jersey was on sale and I had an additional 20% discount due to the Yelp check-in I paid only $56; the normal price for a soccer jersey with a well known player and his number cost over $110. Despite finding the last gold lettering for that Spain jersey, even with the discount I can't give this place a perfect five star. When I came to this location I saw those Roma jerseys with the hope I can customize Totti and his number 10 on the white jersey. The fact this location carries enough Roma jerseys, but doesn't have Totti and his number 10 is the reason I couldn't give five stars. However I'll still come to this location when I have the urge to buy another soccer jersey. Maybe I'll find my new lucky jersey. read more

Btw: the little toddler flats are adorable! I also loved their quality jerseys from the little tots to the adults with both National and team jerseys. They even had MLS jerseys including San Jose Earthquakes (new style for 2014) , Portland and LaLa land. The staff were very helpful and want to help find the right item for you. We have been coming to this store for years and between my husband coaching, and son both playing and reffing, have spent so much money trying to support a local business But the service has always been ... just ok and had declined. I recently had an issue with their insane return policy. They do not make it clear before you buy something that they will not give a refund, only store credit. I was told that the policy is on the receipt... that's printed after my card was already charged? I hadn't even left the store when I asked them to cancel the transaction. But nope. Another family was in the store trying to get a refund on cleats that didn't fit. They didn't have the right size so couldn't exchange but still would not offer a refund Shop here at your own risk and just be darn sure you absolutely want the thing you are buying. Cause you are stuck with it. Definitely don't buy gifts here. There is a much better option not far away on Payne and Saratoga with a cleaner well organized store, good selection, super nice girl working the register and prices that are lower on the same items. Horrible customer service and poor management. I walked in at 5pm on Sunday and the manager Tiffany yells at me from across the sales floor that they are closed. I told her it was now just five o'clock and I need to grab a pair of cleats for my son... I already know the size and brand I want. She told me no and noticed me that cleats would take a long time and she wanted to go home... very rudely. I let her know I spend a lot of money at socccrazze and for her not to spent 5 more minutes with me was very bad customer service. She told me she didn't care. You would think being management she would be way more professional and talk to customers a little nicer. At the end of the day if a customer comes in right at the same time the store closes they should be helped... especially if the door is open and there are still customers in the store shopping. I mean a person was able to shop that walked in 25 seconds before me. She was very rude also not accommodating at all. DO NOT TAKE YOUR TEAMS JERSEYS THERE!I took my teams soccer Jerseys in to have names put on the back. I was well organized with names and numbers listed for each player. I told them I did not need them back that day so to just call me when they were ready. They called me the next day to tell me my order was ready for pick up. I had 33 Jerseys in total between 3 sets of Jerseys, to say I was did appointed is an understatement! They have young adults college or high school age students doing the work, and their lack of attention to detail shows! There were 2 Jerseys that had the fabric folded under the iron on so now they don't lay flat. I had them fix one but there is an obvious mark where the iron on was originally and then removed. There were Jerseys where the names were placed off center. There was also one that was so badly placed it was completely tilted to the side. Since they are iron on the only option is to remove it and re do it, but you will always see the original lettering. They offered to re-do it with out a charge... but the end result will be a messed up jersey either way! All they had to do was slow down and check their placement before putting the heat press down, but they clearly did not do it! I should not have had to pay for a job done so poorly (or at least for the the ones that were messed up!) If you want your Jerseys to look nice, take them somewhere else! read more

I brought them back after just running around the field with them once (and realizing they did not fit well), and they absolutely refused to offer any refund or exchange. How does this place have any stars at all? Worst customer service I have ever seen. I brought my daughter in to get soccer gear. The only person on the floor just stood there with her cell phone in hand looking at us. No "hello", "welcome in", "how can I help you". Just stared at me like a lack-wit. So, I started the conversation and told her that we needed to get cleats, socks, shin guards and some shorts and jersey. She asked what size, I told her that I wasn't sure, so she might need to get fitted. She says, "just check her shoe, it will probably be the same". She brings out two pairs and just flops them down and got back on her cell. The funny part is that of the two people there, she was the more friendly of the two. The other one just stared at us from the doorway of the stockroom. If I was the owner of this place, I would do a total overhaul on the customer service training. They lost a couple of hundred dollars in sales today. I ended up just going to sports basement and got great service from helpful associates. Couldn't remember my password for my old yelp account so resigned up and my google review wouldn't post, but WOW, SoccerKraze Redding, thanks for the absolute wonderful customer service 2 days ago. I didn't use this store very often to be honest in the past just due to the hostility I felt from the employees, and I always felt the store was a bit cluttered, but I really enjoyed having my opinion changed today. The new manager is so approachable, he wasn't trying to push products onto me or my kids, but he was very honest about price points, but the quality of products you pay for will last and give you the best ability to perform. He even cared enough to ask the kids what they enjoyed most in the store, and what they'd like to see in the future possibly that would bring them back. Loved the women's athletic wear, bought me a couple pairs of spandex and a shirt. Curious if you guys can carry lululemon athletica since no one in Redding has that product line. Would like to see a bigger variety of women's athletic apparel especially for types of clothing, more of a variety of shirts and head bands would be nice! The store is very clean now compared to what it was this time last year. My son was really excited to see the trading cards. This is the ONLY place in Redding to find soccer trading cards. There prices are very fair for what your buying. You guys have really put someone and a team of people who care about the small community here, the manager Ian is trying very hard to make it a very trendy place for people to come, talk soccer, keep up with the latest gear and equipment. After standing for a minute without being acknowledged, I asked a couple of teenagers who were leaning on the doorway talking to each other (within four feet of me) if they worked there. (They did, but didn't seem too eager to help.) Tshirts or nametags would be helpful. She waited for me to hand her a shoe and request a size (I did want to try some on, but they didn't have my size) rather than asking me what I was looking for and wanting to spend and helping me to hone in on my selection. So disappointed with the customer service at soccerkraze. Took my son here for turf shoes. He tried on a pair that he liked. We bought them and went straight to a field so he could try them out for real. That's when he discovered they were too big as they were loose when he made a cut. We then went back to get a different pair within the hour. Had the new pair ready to exchange when they told me they couldn't take them back because they were worn! There were literally a couple specks of dirt that could be brushed off, but the girl behind the desk wouldn't budge. These guys are so helpful. My daughter couldn't find a pair of cleats that fit right, these guys made a recommendation after she had tried on various pairs, and went on to help her decide on the size because of how much the shoes are known to stretch. Great little store. They actually carry alternate referee colours (blue, green, black...) in a good selection. Shirts are also only $25 each, which is a decent price. It was surprising how few places carry this stuff (I went to at least 5 stores before I found this one...) They had a good selection of other stuff too.
