I came here to exchange a pair of tennies that were a little bit snug on my toddler and ended up walking away with a 2nd pair on top of that! Great customer service from the sales associate last night. I didn't feel rushed or pressured one bit and the staff actually took the time to go in the back and located the specific size I needed- box looked absolutely terrible but the shoes inside were untouched!! Just what i wanted!! Although the store seems small in size, there is a good variety of shoes to chose from. Bonus points because the toddler/kids shoes are so damn cute! We go there often, cause they have cute inventories for family. Wouldn't go there again. I tried to return my daughter's shoes, one of them wouldn't take cause we made a scratch, nonsense! Went back to talk to their manager, he wasn't there, but other person accepted the return. I am an extremely indecisive person and was in the store for almost 45 minutes before I ultimately decided to not purchase the shoes. Came in for some back to school shoes. Bought a pair went home and they were a little tight on the heel. Came back and got an exchange for something else. The girl who helped us was very helpful and friendly, measured my grandsons foot to make sure we got the size we needed. She gave suggestions and asked what he would like. The staff was very helpful in getting my transaction done as smoothly as possible. The store is small however they do have a lot it shoes to choose from. They also Cary backpacks and socks. The service here is pretty darn good. Came in to get my daughter some Dr. Martens for her birthday. The style she wanted in her size had a broken buckle, and it was the only one in her size. Sarah was nice enough to direct us to another store instead of making my daughter wait mid week to get her shoes. Gotta give props to a store that handles these situations like that. If you care about good customer service. Do not come here. I've been waiting for an order of shoes for a 1.5 months. I go in and they tell me they had to order my shoes from another store which was fine. They told me they would call me when they were shipped... waited for 2 weeks and didn't hear anything so I swung by in person again. They were never shipped. So they called and reordered them. About 2 weeks later they call me to tell me my shoes were in. When I get there they were the wrong shoes size. I again have them order the shoes. Now I haven't heard from them for almost a month so I called them today and they never re ordered!!! So I've just been waiting for no reason. This is completely unacceptable and just sad how bad customer service has been over the years. No accountability, just a "I'm sorry". Well again don't come here if you care about good customer service and if you care about accountability. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!! VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! We had a very bad recent experience at this store. My sweet husband bought me new black Uggs on Friday Nov 1st 2013 as a surprise because I've been working so hard and am 6 months pregnant. My old pair is 3 years old. After trying them on at home we decided to return to the mall on Saturday Nov 2nd to exchange for a grey pair (my 3 year old black ones are still wearable). The manager Jacob explained that they did not have the pair in stock. Since I knew I could order them myself online we asked to return the ones my husband had just bought. Jacob tried to convince us to take them home since we bought them at the sale price, hold on to them, and try later for the grey ones. Not wanting to have $200 pair of shoes at home I couldn't wear we insisted on returning. He then tried to show us children's shoes that would fit me in my size but be cheaper, stating he could order the color I wanted in a child's tall. He did not show us a children's tall though, but a different style instead. While he was helping another customer I asked another sales clerk to show me a children's tall, which is of course not the same as the adult's. Starting to feel that Jacob was just desperate to not take our shoes back, to the point he'd order me something online that wasn't what I wanted, we had the other employee make the return. Ten minutes after leaving the store with our signed receipt for the return, we had a call to come back that something was "wrong". Jacob showed us the shoes saying an "authenticity" tag was missing and he would not be able to run our return that we had already made. Fuming and feeling bewildered, we were tempted to leave without the shoes since they had in fact made the return. He showed us our shoes were missing it compared to another pair, convincing us that leaving the shoes there would not work. This "tag" was never shown to my husband when he purchased them and it was never explained it was needed to return them until after we'd left and returned. Jacob even admitted remembering my husband buy the shoes the night before, yet still refusing to make a return. Jacob had been so desperate for us to not make the return in the first place I wouldn't put it past him to have pulled the tag out himself either. He couldn't prove it was in there when he sold it to us and he can't prove it was removed while we left the store. We felt conned as customers and that he was stealing from us. We have called customer service and the district manager and are hoping to finalize the return still. Customer service and the manager have been wonderful over the phone and agree the situation is ridiculous, however they have still not contacted my husband with directions to return the shoes to corporate as they have said they'd do multiple times. Now he has been calling daily to try to get them to follow up. I'm baffled that this company treats customers this way. We left feeling like Jacob had swindled us and stolen from us. It's some of the worst customer service ever received. If they'd processed the return, we'd still be customer's of Journey's, we now never want to associate with the store again. What has put even more salt on the wound, is that I've now read a few reviews on YELP that he has a history of not taking returns. Even a few reviews online means to me it is a regular thing. How has this behavior been tolerated in a manager? Isn't the loss of a customer for life far worse than the loss for the store processing the return? Is this a strategy for him to keep his numbers up? read more

Typically I don't like writing negative reviews but this one was pretty bad and would like to avoid anyone else having to go through the same. We purchased/ordered a pair UGGs at journeys Blossom Hill Oakridge mall San Jose before Christmas paid nine dollars extra for 2 day shipping. We shoe that was shipped was completely the wrong shoe. We called the store and the co-managers "tried" calling customer service for two days to see if they could overnight the correct shoe and could not get through. After the run around and only one day left to put the gift under the tree, we resorted to finding and buying the shoe at another store Hansens.Today we came back to Journeys to return the wrong shoe and the co-manager gave us the amount to be refunded. My husband asked about the 9.00 shipping charge and she asked that we come back the next day because she didn't know how to process that refund. We asked if she could call someone, she did, then told us that they do not give shipping refunds, even though they took the shipping fee and referred us to call customer service (the same customer service they could not get through for 2 days!) to top it off, the attitude behind the process made it worse.
