I stopped by with my son, and asked if we could measure his feet. The clerk said they "threw out the tool". Then I asked what shoes were about a 13.5 (one size bigger than his previous) and she just pointed to the kids area. read more

We purchased the Nike KD IV Aunt Pearl basketball shoe and received it today. My son went to try it out at gym for an hour and the paint around the toes peeled off after just playing normal basketball indoors. We buy a lot of basketball shoes, and that is just poor quality. I reported this to customer service and Nike too via phone, sent pictures of the shoes and waiting for the refund from management. These shoes are not worth the $130 price value. read more

I came into the store the other day with my son to get him new shoes for school. We asked for help and were assisted by a woman named Athziry. Helped us at first but when we had a question she rolled her eyes and would turn her head to ignore us when we tried asking her a couple more questions. We got help in the end with a really nice cashier and my son got his shoes in the end. read more

This was probably the worst shoe palace i've been too. I walked into there and I wasn't greeted. I was looking for a specific shoe and 2 of the workers were just talking. I had to go across the store to go ask for help to look for my shoe size. The worker didn't bother to go to the back to look for my size. There was another worker that just walked past by me and didn't bother to say excuse me.Or offer help. DO NOT GO HERE!! Worst customer service!! read more

I have passed by the shoe Palace on Bascom Avenue for many years and I've never stepped inside. It's right next to the strip clubs and you would think it might be tacky or something. Wrong! When you step inside the shoe palace, it's super modern with LED lights and nice wood floors and very nice displays and very busy. I was pleasantly surprised by amazing selection of air. Jordans and I was able to purchase a pair of beautiful ones for only you ready $49! And then I bought a full set of really modern sweats that are very hard to find for another $40 and out of there under $100 with a pair of air Jordans and a brand new set of sweats to go with them. I would say that's a good value and the service was great and the selection was amazing. I will definitely go back. read more

Service was greatly they attend quickly, and ask if everything is alright! Only bad thing was I couldn't find a size, I was looking for a gift for someone for Christmas but there wasn't size for a specific shoes. The value was alright but I feel like Nike has better value read more

I have never had such a bad experience at Shoe Palace in my life. No one greeted me when I came in. No one asked me if I needed help. Not even the manager. I had to go up to an associate and ask for assistance after being in the store for 15 minutes. I have never went into Shoe Palace actively looking to buy a pair of shoes and come out with nothing. I requested a size 10 or 10.5 in 3 different pairs of shoes and they didn't have any of them. The female associate said she had a size 11 in 1 pair and went to the back to get them. She took 15 minutes and came back without them because she forgot. It's like she went and took a 15 minute break. read more

So on Thursday 9/21/23 I called the store at 11:30 because I was looking for a shoe for my boyfriend's mom . I specifically told her I wanted the Tasman Uggs shoes a size 8 women's color chestnut and she said she will hold the shoe for me . Then when I came there with my boyfriend after work they couldn't find the shoe that she hold it's like I was talking to airheads like how the fuck you gonna waste our time like that . read more

I went in today with my children. My son is in between sizes and it's been challenging to find the right fit for him. We stopped in at Shoe Palace after going to two shoe stores. We were tired and feeling discouraged. Everyone there was nice and ready to help. Again, we had trouble finding the right shoe and the right fit for him. We were ready to call it a day. A few seconds later, Melanie (the assistant manager) asked if she could help us. She stopped to ask us while stocking and working! I explained the trouble we were having and she stopped what she was doing to help us. She asked us what we were looking for and what shoes we had in mind. Melanie blew my mind... she pulled 6 or 7 shoes and brought them out to us and said she had more ready to bring out as well. She considered different price ranges, different fits and different brands! It was amazing to be helped and not feel like we were bothering her!! I asked to speak to a manager and she said she was the assistant manager. I did meet her manager and shared my experience with him as well. I needed to also leave a Yelp review!! Thank YOU Melanie!! I felt that you went above and beyond! From an exhausted and discouraged mom, you made my day!! Melanie, you're the real MVP!! read more

Always been a great place for me to come in as well as take my family of 6! Just about always have the shoe styles and random sizes we need and the staff here is great. I don't bother with going to the mall anymore for shoes, this is our place. Actually planning on going in for our next trip tomorrow to stock the family up again. read more

Me and my family love coming to this store! The staff are always friendly and so helpful. The renovations to this number one store make it look amazing! They always have the newest releases, and the shelves are always stocked with different apparel. Felix, the store manager is always there making customers feel like family and is willing to help in any way possible. Thanks Shoe Palace for the great customer service, we will definitely be returning to this store! read more

I love coming here! I come once a week to next out if they have anything new or on sale. There prices are a bit cheaper than the mall. The staff is so friendly and they always help us out. We have been able to find hidden jems for cheap in this store. Nothing but great experiences each and every time. I recommend coming here. And it is super family friendly they have a wide selection of shoes for kids! read more

Shoe Palace gets the job done for me. They are reasonably priced and have a good selection of shoes ranging from Adidas to Timberlands. The employees are friendly and one thing that I've noticed is that they are everywhere. This store seems way too over-staffed for its size. Do they think someone is going to try to steal two different style shoes off the sales floor and rock them out on in public? Well, I guess you never know with these kids, nowadays. I do remember when Kris Kross started the odd fashion of wearing clothes backwards. "Daddy mack will make you, JUMP...JUMP" I'm a white shoe wearer and have been sporting the K-Swiss Classics since they hit the market. No matter what I'm wearing, whether it be khaki's or basketball short's, they always seem to look fly. Shoe Palace always has these in stock and for that I will remain a return customer... Just don't be stepping on my kicks. read more

Im not sure what all the negative reviews are all about, but I did notice they are from years ago, so here is my 2 cents from my visit last night. Packed... and only 2 workers getting shoes. There was another guy behind the counter looking busy, but basically not doing anything. Someone actually approached him and asked for help, and he helped... he probably should have been the one doing the approaching though. Im sure he was the manager... seemed to have a "above everyone" attitude. He was a larger Asian guy... so guy, if you're reading this, help out when your floor staff need help. I was helped by a young girl... she was very sweet and went all out to make sure my sons shoes were the perfect fit. She even made small talk with my 7 year old while lacing him up. Asked about school & sports (baseball, since he actually just got out of practice and came in wearing his cleats). Anyway, very nice selection of all sorts of shoes... Nike, Adidas, Vans, Converse, and even PF Flyers. I am a fan of free standing stores versus mall stores. I would much rather come here than go to Valley Fair which is right up the street. In and out and done. Definitely would come back. read more

It always trips me out how ambitious young kids are now-a-days with making their hustle. You'll get a heavy dose of that when you walk through the doors and get hounded by money hungry kids trying to stay on point in front of their boss... no joke! The bf bravely tried to buy something for me on his own, (god, bless his sweet soul...), but struck out once again because he can't manage to pin-point my taste after two years of being together. I won't fault him for that. He made a good attempt by bringing me home a pair of SB dunks when all I really wanted was a pair of running shoes. When I told him I was going to exchange them, he held up a pair of white socks that were haphazardly thrown into the box and said, "At least I got you a free pair of socks!" - Yeah... "...now, I can stop stealing YOUR socks..." - is what I thought to myself... Moving on, I walked into the store the next day and was immediately greeted with a short salutation, by a short young man, and a, "What can I do for you today?" by a young sneaker hustler. I told them what I wanted, and they quickly summed up my demands and told me what was available. Slim pickings for running shoes, and I am no fan of sneakers. (I'd wear flip flops all year round if I could...) I decided on a pair of black NIKE Shox and paid the extra $35 to get them with my exchange. I was hoping they'd throw in another pair of socks... just to spare my bf from running out so quickly during the week... but no luck there. =( Anyways, I was in and out quickly. Their sales approach was not sugarcoated with ass kissing for commission, and I couldn't help but leave in a better mood because my purchase helped shape the young mind of a "G". "However you make your hustle, big pimpin'!" =P Shoe selection: 1 star Service: 1 star Equal opportunity employment: 1 star - "Times are hard, yo'!" read more

Came here more frequently when I was younger for shoes, so I guess I wasn't tuned in to customer service the way I am as an adult now. Walked in this past weekend, was greeted, but then no service was offered after that. There was no excuse for them being busy as we were the only other people in there other than a family of three. There were 4 workers and they walked past us several times when I finally had to flag them down to check a size for some shoes. The bf and I were wondering if they even got commission as their customer service wasn't reflecting that at all. Well they do, but if you want good customer service then I wouldn't come here. read more

Bunch of liars. Who's selling stuff to favorable customers. Taking cash and pocketing it for profits. Your employee are lieing and cheating customers. The store weren't even open yet but customers was being handed with the new shoes release. Taking cash up front. To top it off I was told to come in early Saturday morning, since that very location doesn't do raffle tickets and so I did, but was ward off telling me it's only for raffle ticket winners. What a bunch of liars! read more

Read the reviews but was in a pinch for some new chucks. Walked in, said my piece, and walked out 8 minutes later with my shoes. Location is sketch. Guys who worked there tried to push some other shoes and sprays on me (but I fended them off because I was forewarned by my yelp brethren). Prices were what you find at the mall. I say go elsewhere if you want service (and even selection). It is just sort of a random place read more

Such a shame, today I got a really bad experience. This girl with braids, dyed hair (white/greyish) and eyeglasses approached us like 10 times to offer us assistance...super annoying to begin with!!!! Once we were ready to try a pair, we kindly asked for her name as a courtesy to address her properly to what she responded "what for? You don't need my name!" From there she took forever and immediately my whole shopping experience changed to worst. Thankfully, we got assistance from another girl which was quick, helpful, friendly and with a more professional look. This is the #1 store and Shoe Palace should care more for the long time customers. read more

I half agree with the other reviews but don't think it is quite this bad. I expect kids to be working at a shoe store so being helped by a teen didn't surprise or upset me. I felt the kids were trying to be professional and very attentive. The owner was pretty pushy for a sale which got annoying. He had a very used-car-salesman way about him. The store had a good selection of shoes at reasonable prices. I would return here but keeping in mind they will always say "that looks great". If you are not sure what to get, bring your own second opinion. read more

Been shopping this location (before the expansion) for about 17 years. They've always had the friendliest and most helpful staff. They also get some pretty cool releases and always do first come first serve or live raffles for limited releases. This was the very first shoe palace to ever exist and it's been great buying from this awesome company and specifically the Bascom location. The staff has changed over the years but what hasn't changed is the dedication to providing an awesome shopping experience for sneakerheads in the Bay Area. That same dedication is why this company is growing at an impressive pace around the country. Plus they like giving back to the community and honoring great local heroes such as Virginia Wright also known as SP Gina. Easily my favorite store to buy shoes. read more

They make you buy a shirt with some new released Jordans..how wack. Customer service is wack, they BS too much. Nothing but kids there...that don't know anything about kicks.
