I love to shop here and the customer service is great. It is my go-to shoe place and I've never been disappointed in my purchase. The merchandise is quality made they last a long time. My husband had a problem with one pair and they replaced it right away. With this store being in the mall works for me. I walk around shopping for awhile before and then go in to try on shoes. That way if my feet are a little swollen I can tell just how comfortable they will be. read more

My family and I walked into Clark's on 9/26 at 8:50 (with ten minutes before the mall closed) and we were greeted with a rude young lady named Jasmine wearing pink crocs tell us "you have 5 minutes before we won't bring out shoes anymore" my dad tried to joke with her and be kind but she was instead very rude. My dad just wanted to get a pair of Clark's for more support since he is getting older. The way she treated him throughout this whole exchange broke my heart because she was so disrespectful. He tried on 2 pairs of shoes and 5 minutes later she came back to tell him "do you want any of these because we're closing" and since they didn't have wide fit in store he asked her kindly if she could order them to his house. She replied with "I don't even think they come in wide fit" as she stomped her pink crocs to get a device to order them for him. Then she couldn't even get the device to work to order them which left us waiting on HER and we ended up leaving the store at 9:05 which was very burdening on her to do her job which is to get people shoes... i understand if we didn't even end up buying anything but we ended up spending $150 and I wish we didn't even buy the shoes from her because of how rude she was. read more

This store doesn't honor coupons that are eligible for in-store & online purchases (40% off coupon). The worker claimed the item I tried to purchase was ineligible. I was able to purchase it online using the coupon successfully. Glad I went in to try shoes in but this store seems more concerned about it's profit margin rather than customer service. read more

I have been going to the Clarks store at Valleyfair shopping mall for years. I went back to this store to return a pair of shoes today that I purchased two weeks ago. The lady at the counter told me that I could not return the shoes because I had worn them. That is so not the truth!!! I bought the shoes from this very store and walked a round or two in the same store. That's about it! Look at the pictures and judge yourself! This lady showed me a pair of shoes with full package and claimed that was the kind of "new", "unworn" shoes! Give me a break. I bought this pair of shoes like this from this very store and from this very lady. It was sold to me as it is. I had always trusted the store and never knew that I should inspect the packaging of the shoes when I bought them from Clark store before. I asked to talk to the store manager. The lady at the counter said she was the manager. I asked her name, she refused to tell me her name. How convenient! I learned later from my receipt that this lady's name is Gianna, cashier code ending 84961. Be aware and be careful with this lady! I had bought at least 10+ pairs of Clark shoes from the same store before. Today's experience really put the bitterness in my mouth. I am not going back to this store again! If I can put a negative score to this review, I will. I tired to call Clark online but the line was always busy. Such an unfair and bad customer experience! Very disappointed!!! read more

This Clarks store was very crowded when I went in. Probably exceeded the fire hazard capacity just because people were standing up trying on shoes. It was very hot and ventilation was probably not working. You could tell this whole place was understaffed because I only saw about 3 employees working and couldn't keep up with the customers. I know it's shoe store, but the smell of feet and shoes here was horrendous. I swear I have a horrible olfactory system function, but if I could smell something it's either really good or really bad (working at Abercrombie probably ruined it). read more

Clarks is definitely one of my favorite dress shoe companies. Over the years, I have sampled many different brands, but I constantly find myself coming back to Clarks. From my personal experience, their shoes offer all five of the most important criteria, which leads to the rating: 1. Style - not the hippest or most fashionable, but timeless, simple design 2. Durability - tread never wears out 3. Price - $50 - 90 range 4. Comfort - softer cushioning than Air Jordans 5. Fit - not too tight or loose Let's compare this to two other shoes I have most recently purchased, Kenneth Cole and Rockport. KC's are high in style, but that's about it. The sole and uppers are very hard, and the price tag is not exactly favorable. Rockports fare a bit better, with practically all of the requirements accounted for other than number 1, which almost cancels out two others. Let's just say that the design consultants over at Rockport won't be winning any awards from the fashion magazines any time soon. In essence, what you get with a pair of Clarks is the looks of "all show, no go" Kenneth Cole with the "function over form" of Rockport all wrapped into one. Who says you can't have it all? I used to think that purchasing from the manufacturer's own branches was more expensive than department stores, but here at Clarks, there is no mark up, and items are often on sale. There is a reason why it is always packed to the rafters, even in the middle of the week. Service is also prompt and courteous, with sales people who are not at all pretentious. They perfectly epitomize what the Clarks brand is all about. read more

SCAMMERS..Manager girl is stupid. They helped my husband order his slippers online. It came in the mail without the box but when we needed to return it the manager said that it has to come with original box and packaging. And she kept saying that our situation is unique that it came without the box and just a plastic bag but she can't give us an exception. How stupid that policy is. It didn't mention in anywhere that it has to be returned with original plastc!!!whats the point.of having a manager when they can't decide for the store!!!? She kept on saying that her hands are tied and has to follow policy!! Seriously, you are a useless manager, whoever is the manager on 9.12.2021. They want your money but if there's an issue in returning items they cannot help you!!AVOID THIS STORE! AVOID THIS STORE!! I was a fan of Clark's shoes but after my recent experience of purchasing a pair of Unstructured Maui Lace shoes, I will never buy another pair of shoes from them again. Why? The bottom of the left shoe is uneven and makes the shoe lean inward. The right shoe does not have this problem. I didn't notice this when I tried it on so I purchased it. After walking in it, I noticed it and brought the shoe back. The store refused to refund it because I wore it. I consider this defective since only the left shoe has this problem. The store claims it is a feature of the shoe. Really? Then they should market it as "one crooked shoe design". I understand their policy of not taking back worn shoes but if something is defective, they should own up to it. Really sad cuz I've been a loyal customer until now. Time to find a new brand of shoes that don't include defects in their design or at least own up to it. Bad customer service. read more

Staff is always very attentive and helpful! Glad to be able to order shoes and have recommendations on styles from the sales associates.

My sour review is for the rude gentleman that seems to enjoy saying the phrase 'it's company policy' rather than providing a helpful answer. Well lucky for me I refuse to be complicit. If you lost the receipt for a return, all you have to do is call Clark's corporate customer service and they will gladly pull up your bank statement and email you a copy of the receipt! This only works if you paid with a card. Did the guy working the counter tell me this? Of course not, they don't want to lose money or their commission. On a positive note, I would give 5 stars to the sweet gal who helped my father and I pick out some nice shoes for my boyfriend during Christmas. read more

Will not do returns, they lie and say the machine is down so they don't end up in the negative for their daily sales. Ridiculous.

Horrible customer service. A week prior to seeing some shoes with my girlfriend, I came in a week later with my girlfriend to buy the same shoes we saw. After describing them to an employee her response was, "idk what you are talking about? Did you look it up online?" We told her "No, we didn't we came here to find the shoes we saw here." She then handed us a loose page booklet and told us we can look through it to find the shoes we described to her. We couldn't find them in the pages she handed us and she replied with "yeah, I'm sorry". We left with a sour taste in our mouths. Not satisfied and furious. We spoke to another employee and let them know that we were not satisfied and said that the employee seemed clueless. That employee responded by saying "okay". All we wanted was a little customer service. We came in with the intention of purchasing some shoes and left with a bad experience. These employees need to be a lot more proactive. read more

This store has the most idiotic employees ever. What a bunch of morons. They processed the wrong online order and then called the wrong person. When we came in to asked about the order we purchased online while we were in the store (because they didn't have the size), they kept saying that they called us to process the returned. Even though the name and the phone number they called was a completely different person. They kept insisted that they called us. What a bunch of dump ass. The worst part was the employee kept arguing that she did call even though we pointed out that whoever she called was a different person. What a crap and $hitty customer service. read more

My sister made me go into the Clarks in Valley Fair about a month ago to look for shoes. I was surprised she wanted to go in there because for some reason I associated Clarks with orthopedic shoes and 50+ patrons. Ok, that's a little mean since I know my mom wears Clarks and she's a very young stylish 50. Anyhow, I was really shocked to see how many CUTE ballet shoes they had. My sister is 5'11 and I'm 5'8, so we tend to gravitate towards flat shoes. Yes, some of their shoes looked like they were made more for comfort over fashion, but they still had a great selection I wasn't planning on buying anything, but I ended up loving a pair of pinkish/flesh tone leather ballet flats. I've never seen this color anywhere before. Since they didn't have my size in stock (and my sister took the last pair), the sales associate, Paul, had to order them for me. He told me that they had a "30 day walking" policy meaning I could bring them back after 30 days even after wearing them. What a great policy! I did receive my shoes in the mail and they do hurt a bit in the back, but I think it's because the leather is too stiff and needs to soften. However they do have two wonderful air-like pads placed right where the heel and ball of your foot rest. Regardless, I am going to deduct a star because they did cut the back of my ankle the first day. Clarks is definitely a store worth checking out if you like flats. They have a great selection plus the shoes are not cheaply made. Sizes are a bit big... I usually wear a 10, but got a size 9.5. Shoes will cost you around $60-90, but they are totally worth it. Did I mention that my mom has had her Clarks for YEARS. read more

Brought my parents here on a weekday afternoon and they were really pleased by the selection of shoes and the service. They tried on several pairs and some of the sizes were out so they ended up buying two pairs in the end. One of the staff members, named Brandon, was extremely helpful. He explained to my parents on the unique quality of the different shoes. Earlier I read some negative reviews about this store but I think it's a bit of a hit or miss because depending on the day and the staff, the experience can be completely different. read more

Even though Clarks shoes are on the pricier side, they are worth every penny. As someone with wide feet, it's difficult for me to find shoes, especially high heels, that are comfortable. Since discovering Clarks, I've bought 4 pairs of Clarks shoes and I could not be happier. Recently, I was looking for a pair of heels for college graduation. Try as I may, I couldn't find a better pair than the ones I found at Clarks. Not only do they accommodate my Sasquatch-wide feet, they are so comfy I think I could wear them all day. I was helped by Ou and he is awesome!! He went above and beyond, and even told me about this suede spray that protects your shoes for longer use. I felt like he genuinely cared and wasn't just telling me about it to cross-sell for $$$. 10/10 employee. read more

Joe provided excellent customer service. I work for a customer service driven smoothie bar, and I appreciated the fact that there are other employee's in different industries who put the same effort I do towards their customers and their brand. Josephine helped me today and she was great! I tried on about half the store in multiple sizes and she stayed cheerful the entire time. Had it been me working here I probably would have been annoyed with a customer like myself. I have a weird toe joint injury and it makes shopping for shoes really difficult. I love Clarks and I feel every year their styles get better and better. Unfortunately I can't really wear the super cute ones due to my toe but they do exist. I always suggest Clarks to friends! They last a long time and are extremely comfortable. And I've always received great customer service at this location. I just wish they weren't in Valley Fair - I hate the mall. read more

We went here on a Sunday early in the day, and there were only two attendants trying to help ten people. We had to wait a long time before being helped. Other than that, this place is great! My husband got some leather shoes and some dress socks, which are all classy and comfortable. They have a policy that states you can bring socks back if they get holes in them and they'll replace them. They had a great selection of traditional and modern styles. read more

BEWARE!CANNOT RETURN item bought only 2 hours ago! Same as mentioned in the previous negative reviews, this store refuses to return shoes I bought only 2 hrs ago, claiming they were damaged. I bought a pair of boots around noon and continued shopping around the mall. I found another pair of boots with the same color I bought at Clarks, so I thought maybe I should return the Clarks pair since I like the new one better. When I went back to Clarks and the staff said it was not in a returnable condition (pointing to a few black spots on the sole) and they could only exchange it. All I did with these shoes were taking them around in the box. I did not even leave the mall. So either they gave me a damaged pair in the first place or they are executing a ridiculous return policy. So if in any chance you want to return your shoes to this store, take a magnifying glass with you and examine the shoes carefully before you leave. Personally I can understand that they want less returns, but please, say it in the first place instead of tricking your customer. I have several pairs of Clarks but I certainly will not buy more after this experience. read more

I had a disappointing experience at Aerosoles (my usual go-to) and marched straight into Clarks not knowing what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised to find I had made the right stop! Don't let the size of the store deceive you, Clarks has a great women's selection that ranges from casual, sporty-looking sneakers to uptown, sassy pumps. The place was a little busy but I was able to flag someone down and try on several styles of shoes. Everything I sampled felt so comfortable, which is one of the great benefits of Clarks shoes- they are stylish AND practical. I bought a pair of heeled boots and some single strap sneakers for about $100 each. Will definitely be coming back as they they frequently have sales and offer special deals! read more

BUYER BEWARE, STORE DOESN'T TAKE RETURNS! Purchased 2 pairs of shoes, decided to keep one and return the other as they didn't work with my outfit. I only tried them on at home and after deciding not to keep them put them back in the box. I definitely didn't wear them outside. Returned to the store and they wouldn't take it back because they claimed the shoes had been used! They said nobody would buy worn shoes, I told them "Well I apparently did, I swear I didn't wear them", they insisted they were worn. Told them I got them like this, and the girl (salesperson #000085603 "Mimi" ) who sold them to me said no, she gave me new shoes. Like the other reviewer, she also showed me another pair of shoes and yes, maybe they were a little bit worn, but it wasn't because of me, I just didn't notice when I bought them.I don't exactly have a habit of examining the soles of the shoes I buy with a magnifying glass. She said she was willing to exchange them but wouldn't refund me. Which is a weird policy if you ask me. What did she plan on doing with the "worn" shoes? Sell them to another unsuspecting buyer?! Well, there was nothing else I wanted and I definitely didn't want to spend more money to get a different style. I felt horrible, I am not used to basically being called a liar and having the nerve to return shoes after wearing them. I don't do that. I contacted the online customer service number and after holding for about 10 minutes they said there was nothing they could do but instead asked for my email address so they could spam me with a discount coupon. What a wasted of time! Like I want to spend more money at any Clark's store ever again. read more

I've been to this place twice in two weeks. And I hate the pretentious little mall it's located in. However... I had just started a new job, and needed a 'professional' bag to lug around my iPad. I had thought about getting a Coach bag for it, but apparently my husband believes I have too many. Fossil was my next choice, but I didn't see a bag that I could use as a purse as well (would not have been enough room). So I was back to square one. But wait, what light through yonder window breaks? It is Clark's, a store I'd visited the previous weekend to find comfortable, slightly stylish work shoes. The prices are very reasonable, with my shoes coming in at 70 bucks (they were on sale, though I would have gladly paid the 110 smackers). I found my awesome purse- a leather messenger that was simple and classic. And I don't think I spent more that 50 bucks there. Of course I went on a sale day- but if you poke around, you'll be sure to find something. Will definitely make this a first stop for all my 'professional' accessories. read more

I was helped right away by a very nice young woman. I asked her for some walking shoes. She found some, but she turned me over to Leonard, a polite young guy. There were some other customers waiting, too. That was when I knew that I had come to the right place. He found a size 8 wide shoe that once I tried them on, I was happy. I also asked to see if they had any size 8.5 wide shoes in the back. No, they didn't have any, but he said he could order me some. I told Leonard that I would keep the one pair of size 8 wide and he could order me the pair of size 8.5 wide. Leonard said he could stretch the size 8 wide shoe for me if I wanted it. I said I would come back later for that. Everything about my experience at Clark's Valley Fair was 5 star, all the way. Leonard was great, and so was the young woman, but I didn't know her name. read more

The salesman was a strong racist. He behaved very rude during my visit. He gave me a look from time to time. This place is great. I've always loved Clarks. The difference in this store is the customer service. I was helped by Joshua, and he measured my feet. When it comes to my feet, they have a ton of complaints in regards to almost every shoe I wear (read: owies and/or scars). Sadly, I can get away with flipflops in every arena of my life, even in California. I saw a friends' pair of shoes and complemented her on them. She told me about Clarks and I decided to try. (I had known about them, passed them in the mall but always felt they were a little to old and not "my age"). I was wrong since I actually I found two pairs. One in stock and the other avaliable to purchase now and get it shipped for free to my home...I love this perk...and believe it should be included at all retail stores (not in stock, ship for free to your house because of 'our bad judgement of the market" GAP does this too). Now...I have deducted stars because the actual product (shoes), were not as comfortable as the price suggested, and one pair even had to be returned. Yes, a pair of shoes warn and returned. They would get 5 stars based on this policy: you can try any pair of shoes for 30 days and they will take them back no questions. (And it really was no questions, I could be honest 'well, they hurt and I didn't even wear them for longer than 2 hours, they did not meet my needs or expectations") and got a full refund. This is an another awesome perk if you have the shoe problems I do. A test drive for shoes...oh count me in! The customer service was great at this location too. Helpful and attentive and they even offer shoe stretching on any shoe. (Although it has only made a difference on one of the pairs). Ideally in the future, I will keep all the shoes I fall in love with and with their superb customer service, I am inclined to keep trying. read more
