Came here looking to get some replacement laces for a set of boots I had purchased for work some years back. The laces are starting to go and so I thought I would try and get the original ones because they lasted so long. Unfortunately, they weren't available that day, so I'll need to keep looking, but my wife was with me and started taking interest in the insoles. She enjoys walking, and works in the medical field where she needs to stand at work most of the day. Nicholas helped walk her through picking out a set of insoles with their automated foot profiler, and then provided her set of tennis shoes similar to ones she has to try them in since she didn't come with shoes to wear (Great sales tactic, if I had to say so myself lol). In all seriousness though, thank you Nicholas very much for your wonderful help and considerate explanations. Did not come in expecting to spend that much but seeing my wife's relief and afterglow was well worth it! After leaving Dick's sporting good feeling very disappointed I saw Beck's shoe right before getting into my car and decided to take a look. I had no idea this was a family own store for generations. People who work here were so friendly and were literally on their knees assisting customers. It's surprising to see a little store surviving for so many generations but after coming here once I understood why. Veronica was very helpful and helped me find two pairs of shoes that I love. Now I am telling all my coworkers where I got the shoes from. I did price check on both pairs online and one pair was slightly more expensive from the store. I came here looking for a pair of safety toe shoes for my job. I have wide feet, and often times it is difficult for me to find a pair of shoes that really fits me feet well. I recently realized my nikes that were less than a year old were worn out to the point of holes in the creases and with the upcoming Disneyland trip I needed comfortable shoes asap! I recalled passing by this store when waiting for our reservation for Blossom and Bourbon and saw they had trail shoes displayed in the window, I had to return and check it out since I doubted the mall stores would have anything else besides sporty fashion shoes. I needed something to help me survive 3 days at both parks walking 20k steps a day. I strolled in the last night an hour before closing and was pleasantly greeted by Veronica. I let her know I was in need of the most comfortable durable shoes and she showed me 3 options as well as bringing out each for me to try and walk around the store in before committing. I was torn between two pairs but they didn't have one of the colors. Veronica was kind to say she will order to her store and I can return to try it out. I was able to purchase the all black Hoka in the meantime for my trip. Also, as bf was waiting for me he saw some slip on sneakers that interested him and the display was actually his size. I guess it was meant to be! As he put the display shoe one Veronica noticed and grabbed the other side so he could try it on as well. Great Shoe Store!! I met James Bond store manager at this location a few months ago and I was looking for a specific size shoe to fit into my new leg brace I have to wear. I went to a few shoe places in the San Jose area and could not find a specific size to fit into this brace so I could wear it. Mr. Bond like a great manager of this store gave me a call on my cell phone and told me he thinks he found a shoe that could handle the brace. A New Balance size 13 Extra Wide 4 E. So I have a size 10 for my right shoe and the left shoe is the big Size 13 4E extra wide to handle the brace I have to wear now. Overall the store has a lot of hiking boots and tennis shoes. They are always busy. They get a lot of customers coming from far locations. When you Google "special size shoes" or "modified shoes" the Beck Shoes pops up. If you have anybody out there in need or looking for a specific shoe for many reasons. Check your area for a Beck's Shoes. Thanks a million. Came here with my husband to use his voucher to purchase work shoes. The shop is rather small so they have a limited selection. My husband was looking for a particular pair of shoes that meets his work's requirements. The staff member knew vaguely what he was looking for. She showed him some options and searched the online catalog to see if she could locate a specific pair he wanted. It took awhile because she had to assist other customers in-between and call around for his size. Ultimately she was able to order a pair from another store and have them shipped. I struck gold when I walked into Beck's Shoe Store today at 660 Blossom Hill Road. I had already been to two other shoe stores and purchased custom orthotics in addition to walking shoes at each store. I developed plantar fasciitis after walking in the first pair of shoes and orthotics. Rich Berger, the store manager, lost no time in greeting me soon after I walked in the door and after hearing about my situation, he responded that he could help me heal from this painful condition as he had experience helping others suffering from the same thing. The first two pairs of shoes with orthotics that I purchased were from other stores. The first pair may have actually caused the plantar fasciitis. Rich measured my feet and quickly brought out a great pair of walking shoes for me with the orthotic. He told me my feet were wider than the shoes I was wearing. He is so knowledgeable about feet and what they need to be healthy -- what we all need to do to protect them. He is patient, kind, and after the customer's best interest. Rich shared some effective methods to heal plantar fasciitis. The shoes he fitted me with feel great on my feet and I look forward to getting back to walking long distances again. I'm only writing this review to save you $300. I bought a pair of Thorogood 814-4200, and let me tell you that this is by far the worst boot I've ever purchased in my long working construction career. They lasted me four months before I started getting embarrassed of wearing them. Normally my timberlands would last me about a year. These boots were hurting me from the start for about 3 months. And I'm not exaggerating lol but they were so expensive that I wanted to give them a chance. I never had that problem with any other boot. Not even two months later the stitches started coming undone. And same goes for the shoe laces. Save yourself some money and go get yourself some timberlands for $100 - even redwings would last longer. read more
