We did the classic sand option, and there are so many options for fragrances and colors to mix and match. Everyone in the group had so much fun and we shared a ton of laughs! Felt like a really personal activity. The price was totally reasonable and we'll definitely be back. 10/10 highly recommend!

Just hope that you're not there during peak hours or during another reservation! Giving life to brick and mortar malls, Activate Dublin benefits from a huge parking lot fit for the shared space among many shops and eateries. While its actual footprint isn't too big, it does sure attract a lot of folks here, especially during the weekends. The crowds can be a huge turn off, not only because of the congestion, but also because they directly impact your opportunity to enjoy your time here. Time is a key factor at Activate. For those unfamiliar, you pay based on the amount of time you play to be inside the play area, all tracked with an electronic wristband used to scan into games. Once you start a game, your timer runs whether you're actively in a game or not (better hope you don't need the restroom or need any breaks). Therefore, with peak times, you'll likely be spending half of your time waiting for the next game. Granted, the waits aren't too long but it's time (and money) spent nevertheless. Each of the games have similar mechanics utilizing lights, switches, and objects to score points (think mini games within a party game). There were about 10-12 different games and at the site, you can walk into the game area to view the game previews to get a glimpse of the objectives and tutorials, that is if you're over 6 years of age and not accompanied by someone under 6 years of age. That's right, even if you're holding your kid who is nearly 6 years old and simply perusing the screens from afar, you are not allowed in the area for liability concerns; the manager was extremely strict about that (although the other staff members were more lenient and allowed us in to peek at what all the hype was about while our older kid played among their friends). For those who do plan to spend time here, they do have lockers for your belongings. Please also keep in mind waters are not allowed in the hallway; the manager was also very strict about this. The payment options are truly limited by the time you plan to spend. There is no unlimited play per hour option as you may have expected for something like this (like Round1). The experience with staff here was mixed. Most of the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the games and media available to learn about them but the manager didn't leave a good impression on us and truly sucked the fun out of the whole experience, despite us only being there as chaperones and observers. Overall, Activate Dublin absolutely activated something in me that wasn't entirely fun, although the folks who did end up playing seemed to have a decent, albeit repetitive time. If gaming is a passion and getting active with company while doing so excites you, consider checking Activate Dublin out, however be wary that the business side of the experience may not align with your motivations. Bringing arcades back is an awesome idea but I think Activate Dublin has a bit more initiatives they'd want to consider activating to bolster customer satisfaction and engagement.

I was nervous about bigger kids accidentally pushing my baby while running around, but it felt comfortable and manageable the whole time. The slides and play structures were really cool and my little one had such a fun time running around and exploring. I especially appreciated that they have a separate toddler/younger kids area which made it feel safer and less overwhelming. As a parent, I noticed the staff did a good job keeping things organized and the overall environment felt pretty clean. There were also plenty of places for parents to sit while still being able to watch their kids play, which I appreciated. But it's either my hubby, I, or the both of us with my baby the whole time. Parking was easy too and check-in was pretty smooth. I do wish the place was a little bigger, but I also understand indoor playgrounds are probably expensive to maintain and operate these days. Overall, it was a fun experience and my baby left tired and happy which is always a win. Would definitely come back. Just wish there was a location closer to Morgan Hill!

Once in a while there maybe a glitch for a player but it isn't frequent, and that's just how technology goes. That's not really anyone's fault. The staff always fixed the glitch quickly. Most of the games are geared toward older kids (and adults) but they do have 2-3 games for younger ones. Booking online is the easiest. But if you're too late for your game, you won't be able to play because the game time cannot be shortened and you will create a backup for other customers. Highly recommend you come 15 min early to check in and get outfitted. Bring your own water bottle. You will get sweaty. If you forget your water, they sell refrigerated water for $4.

It turns out we need to sign waivers and prep time before playing. This should have been basic information given to us or at least let us know we should arrive earlier than your booked time in order to play. Just thinking logically I would want clients to prefill these out prior to their reservations. This would create less friction at start time. The crew setting us up for playtime were very helpful though and after playing they gave us a nice recap experience of our game. This was a nice touch but I wish they would have told us how the photos would be used more clearly. I wasn't even ready when taking my photo and halfway through a blink. The kids liked the game play but adults didn't have a good time. It was dizzying and exhausting to play for me and my wife and $50 a person for such an experience seems high. Would probably stay away and try to convince my kids to do the same.

I wanted something fun and different to do for my birthday and Flora Flames Candle was the choice…read more Ashley the owner shares space with Board and Brush at The Well at Sunset in Livermore. She takes you through the steps of making an aroma filled candle. We choose our vessels, I picked a white ceramic one and there are wood vessels for an additional cost, we sampled an array of scented oils to pick, I went for the amazing smelling "golden hour", then we blended oil and wax, and added a wick. We then picked our dried flowers to add to the edge of our candle, let it set and wait two weeks before lighting. Ashley gave us care instructions and we can recycle our candle vessels by bringing the empty candle holder back to use for another class, with a half off discount. Classes are about an hour in half to two hours, drinks sold to wet your whistle, and they have collaborative workshops with other creators. The total for the class I took was $60.24. Well worth it!
