Had a blast at slime kitchen this last weekend! My daughter is 3 years old and shes come to this place a few times, but this time really stood out. It was super busy, but all the girls working accommodated everyone accordingly. They were all very patient, polite and helpful! I wish I caught all their names, but the girl with piercings was very sweet, and Erin with pink hair was the best! My husband and I noticed they also had Kpop demon hunter themed slimes, but our daughter's favorite, Rumi, was sold out (not surprising). So our daughter decided to make her own Rumi slime! Erin made our daughter's experience so special, that she is still talking about this slime kitchen visit. Giving kudos to the team that day on Sunday Dec 14, you girls did a wonderful job with how busy you were!

From the top of the trail, you can head back down the way you came, or connect with a handful of other trails at the top and keep going! I went on a Sunday morning around 7:30 and it wasn't too difficult finding parking. The trail also wasn't too crowded, but by the time I finished around 9:30 the crowds were picking up. Dog friendly and clean!

It's not like a traditional escape room where you might feel some stress and pressure to finish on time. The escape room is behind a curtain and there are helpful employees to keep the kids on track and assist when needed. And they learned actual science concepts while working! My daughter loves to learn about science, so it was so great for her. We had the cake cutting in the "party room" which is decorated with beautiful rainbow colors and beakers. All in all, the entire place is eye candy! And Ashie the owner is a draw by herself! She has her PhD in chemical engineering from Dartmouth and a passion for teaching science to kids. While there were plenty of toys and play areas, many of them appeared heavily used and showed noticeable wear and tear. The location was another drawback for us. Being in Blackhawk Plaza, which currently has a lot of vacant storefronts, the area felt rather quiet and lacking energy. It's also quite a distance from the freeway, making it less convenient to visit, especially for families traveling from outside the immediate area. Overall, I genuinely love the concept and appreciate what they're trying to create. However, between the high admission cost, additional activity fees, maintenance concerns, and inconvenient location, I don't think we'll be returning. I wish them the best and hope they continue improving, as the idea itself has a lot of potential.

With that amount, it was a bit too crowded for my comfort and it got a bit hot in the room towards the end, even with the AC and fan. I think smaller groups would be better to allow everyone a bit more room to rage comfortably. Owner and staff were amazing, the facility is new and clean (well as clean as can be considering the activities lol), the safety equipment was clean and well organized, and the party room was a nice space to hang out in and watch the playback of the smash session before we headed off to paint. We had a blast and will definitely return, plus the parents now want to come back without the children for an adults night out too! Highly recommend this place for an incredibly fun and therapeutic time. These are nothing major, but a few things I would suggest: WiFi for better streaming of music to the speakers, an attendant outside the rooms ora way to really communicate with staff to help those that need to exit early for emergency situations, posted instructions of what to do and where to put used equipment in the paint clean-up station, and crank up the AC or add more fans - it gets pretty warm in those rooms in all that gear.

LOL the child has spoken! 5 stars it is! There are so many camps to chose from in the East Bay but what we have been loving about Aran's Art Camp is the intimate group size: there's no more than 10 kids per art camp and we've lucked out with an even smaller group during our time here. The camp is taught by a mix of Aran herself and her staff and they've been nothing but wonderful. My kiddo comes home from art camp every day bursting at the seams about everything he's worked on and learned (giving me safety tips about glass fusing and teaching me what a pinch pot is!) and he looks forward to going back each day. Each week is a different theme so if you wanted to sign up for multiple sessions, your child will definitely be working on something different each time. While the hours are 10-2, they offer before and after care for an additional fee which basically turns this into an all day camp if you were to maximize on the 9-3 aspect of it. There's a lot of half day camps out there so if you use their before and after camp, you get a good chunk of the day covered! Lastly, they go to the park every day after lunch to let them move around and get some sunshine and Fridays is pizza day! My kid said he would love to come back to art camp again next summer.

The cost of the pumpkins that you pick from the ground range from $4 to the smallest ones to $12 for a good large sized medium. The prices and sizes go up from there as well. It's always clean, the bathroom has several stalls, and there's a big waiting area to relax and/or have some snacks. This community center may eventually lose it's quiet and secluded feel when the bridge from the Gale Ranch area is done. Regardless, this place was well-planned and situated.
