Target Dublin: Wrong Info, Poor Treatment, Zero Follow-Up I visited Target Dublin (Dublin, CA) on December 1st with my family, and the experience was handled poorly from start to finish. A Cyber Monday discount didn't apply to my items, so we asked for a manager. While we waited, a loss prevention employee involved himself in a pricing issue that had nothing to do with security, which immediately shifted the tone for no reason. When the manager arrived, she gave incorrect information, stating that Target in-store cannot honor Target.com Cyber Monday discounts. That was false - I read the fine print, placed a pickup order at another Target right after and received the correct discounted price without any issue. I went to Customer Service to return the items, and security watched me the entire time, despite the purchase having just taken place in front of them. As my family and I walked toward the exit, security positioned themselves near the doors as if they expected the alarms to go off. That kind of scrutiny isn't appropriate for any customer, and it was difficult not to connect the way we were treated to the fact that we were shopping while Black. After we left, I called Target Dublin multiple times to get the manager's name, and no one ever answers the phone. When I escalated the issue to Target Corporate, I was told the regional manager likely chose not to follow up, which says everything about the lack of accountability at this location. The cashier we worked with was kind, but the overall handling - the misinformation, the security behavior, and the lack of accountability - ensures we will not return. I'm sharing this review in hopes that Target leadership takes these concerns seriously and ensures other families don't have similar experiences. If Target truly wants to provide a safe, inclusive environment for all shoppers - especially Black families - meaningful change at this location is needed. read more

Target *In a French accent* is one of my favorite stores - I frequent many of the East Bay locations; however, I visit this location most often. There is plenty of parking, but it is shared with other restaurants and stores around, you may have to park further back and walk depending on the time of day. I recommend making sure you don't leave any valuables out in the car to avoid any break-ins. At the front of the store, you can find the $1-$8 items which are super cute for crafting, kid-friendly, and easy household items for cheap. Their market section is usually well-stocked with a variety of items to choose from. For any seasonal items for holidays, you can find them in the back right side of the store along with any clearance items. Some things to note is there isn't a dedicated maternity section for people to easily locate. There's a plus-sized section, but it would be helpful if there was a section close to the baby or women's section to shop within. read more

Clean store, decent service, sale prices often incorrect. I have shopped at this local store numerous times. Target does a good job of keeping their stores neat and clean. I find the people also friendly. The biggest problem I have with this store is that the sale prices are frequently not correctly charged at checkout. On the other hand, they are quick to correct the problem. For example, just last week I was charged 30% more than the shelf price shown for beer. It was a pretty large mistake but they corrected it right away. Many of the items are similar in price to Walmart. However, Target runs sales, whereas Walmart usually does not. read more

My review is for Target Dublin only, and not for the company as a whole (if you know, you know!) This location is super convenient since it's across the parking lot from the PetSmart where I occasionally drop my dog off for Doggy Day Camp when my dog walker isn't available while I work. Generally, this is a pretty clean location and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately, they rarely have the Sodastream syrup flavors I'm looking for. I would love it if they stayed on top of this so I don't have to resort to shopping elsewhere when I want my zero sugar soda syrups. I will say that the lines move pretty swiftly at this location vs others, so I am able to get in and out quickly. The "dollar" spot in front is full of fun little knick knacks and seasonal decor, which make great little surprise gifts. I generally don't shop here anymore (again, because if you know, you know) but I had a gift card that needed to be used and a dire need for more toothpaste. I'd be tempted to shop here more often if I agreed with some of the company's leadership. read more

Customer service was poor. Apparently they don't do diaper returns without a receipt here. The lady made it pretty clear that they don't do any returns without a receipt. After reading comments, maybe it' was due to being a POC. Went do a different Target and had no problem there. read more

There is plenty of parking and they have many options inside the store. Service here is hit or miss. The prices can be much more expensive than surrounding areas. Additionally the bathrooms usually look like a tornado came through. read more

excellent staff but one went above and beyond, i forget his name but the tall blonde haired manager (i think his name started with an "A") who helped me out in the holiday section is very professional and knows his store very well. when i had asked for help getting an item from the back he was very quick and efficient getting the product out but kept a very handsome smile on his face while doing so. I'm a new shopper at this target but thanks to the help and support i get here at this Target, i will definitely be making this my main target. and no not just because of their leadership ;) but because of their excellent service and dedication to keeping their store neat and shopable. every visit i've had since, same great experience, team is always working hard and as long as that tall blonde manager leader whatever is still there i will continue my shopping here at this amazing target! read more

Black Family Targeted at Target Dublin -- Incorrect Pricing, Security Scrutiny, No Accountability I visited Target Dublin (Dublin, CA) with my daughters on December 1st, and the experience was concerning. As a Black family, the way the situation unfolded made us uncomfortable. One of the Cyber Monday discounts didn't apply, so we asked for a manager. While my daughter went to Customer Service, we waited near the front. We attempted to call the store several times afterward to identify the manager, but no one answers the phone. Corporate also informed us that the regional manager likely wouldn't follow up, which shows a lack of responsibility from leadership. After waiting weeks for corporate to respond to a discrimination situation that happened three weeks ago by their head of security named Damir, who is a young black man whom think he's one of the others. Racially profile Called police on me because of the 1st amendment. I've stopped here for years and years spent thousands of dollars and to be disrespected the way , by a 20 year-old is ridiculous. Just know if you're minority and you're entering the store the minions in the room will automatically assume your thief if you're not dressed in the type of attire that they want. Ive been to many Targets before mostly the San Ramon and Walnut Creek target. This Target always seems not very busy which is a huge plus. There is a-lot of Inventory here and mostly full shelves. If I am in the area, this is my preferred Target. This location has a great selection of food items and skin care/hba items which is great. This location now has a Ulta Beauty by Target which for those who like Ulta is a plus. Many of the items and products at Ulta are here. Downside is that there are limited self checkouts and cashiers at this Target. read more

With the San Ramon Target Greatland right up the freeway an exit or two away, coming to this Target doesn't make sense unless you're running in and out for something small. If you're doing a big shop, just go up to the bigger Target. This was my go to Target growing up and it's starting to look a bit worn. Also, the bathrooms are a mess. read more

This review is specifically for their LP associate JAZLYN. As a person of color I am extremely disappointed in her LACK there of customer service, attitude and unprofessional approach. She discriminates against people of color ONLY !! This location is my neighborhood store so I shop here twice or more a week, spending more than $150 each time ! This pale face (wrong foundation honey) young lady had the nerve to STOP me at door asking for my receipt because " they check receipts on all purchases over $50" when I asked her since when she said "since everyday it's my job". She snatched the receipt out my hand , pulled out her cell phone to I assume check the time when you clearly just seen me walk away from the register GRAB MY RECEIPT, READ MY RECEIPT then place it in my shopping bag. JAZLYN has a nasty mouth , horrible attitude and snarky personality. I asked her for her supervisors name and contact - she responded with Mark or something she made up. I then went to wait in the customer service line so I can get the correct store contact when JAZLYN walked her disgraceful self behind the counter and asked a tall male who I know was not the supervisor or manager to talk to me. Within 2 second of speaking to him , I could already tell he wasn't the supervisor, he did not have business card, could not answer any basic questions regarding the policy nor did he know why I asked to speak to a superior. Yet this young man was polite and I could tell just wanted to de-escalate the situation. I watched Jazlyn only harass people of color, she literally stopped talking to me so she could "check " the receipts of two young ladies wearing a hijab, yet let a Caucasian woman walk right on by with a basket FULL of items. It's so disheartening to experience, prejudice and harassment within store by another person of color when I simply tried to bring it to her attention on how to approach another customer, if the scenario where to occur again she told me that is not all about me and it's her ***** job. I'm simply mind blown by this encounter. I have escalated it up to higher up. I have emailed everyone I could possibly email because I will not stand for this discrimination at all. We came to this location expecting it to be larger. It's not quite a half Target like in Berkeley, but it's not a complete Target so they don't have as high a selection. This meant when we came in for bathing suits, where the Walnut Creek Target was overflowing with choices, in this Target we struggled to find anything. There was also a very chemical smell to the space, and I started to feel dizzy and nauseous during our visit. The mall here has some large abandoned spaces where an Orchard Supply type store and a Toys R Us used to be. It's slightly creepy, and honestly, even visiting at 1pm on a Sunday, it feels unsafe. I don't plan to return. read more

I recently had a troubling encounter with a Target team member working the returns and pick-up counter. She told me that the line was long because they were short staffed. Which I totally get. Where she went wrong was when she said to me, "Do you want to go look for people that want to work here because we're hiring?" I was taken back and I told her that was rude and doesn't address the immediate situation. She replied, "I don't think it was rude." Wow, no apology. Before this negative interaction took place, I had asked to speak with a manager about the long line. She did not want to ask for one. Instead, she opted to have this exchange with me. Let's just say customer service and retail weren't her strong suit. She should be as far away from anything that involves public relations as possible. I did eventually talk with the manager who apologized for her behavior and immediately assigned three additional people to assist with the long line. Big picture, Target will need to monitor and address situations like this and provide proper training. Slow service and poor communication are hallmarks qualities of several big box company stores and Target is beginning to trend in that direction. Raise the bar, set expectations higher, and ensure that customers are valued and provided quality customer care with every shopping experience. read more

Easy parking and it doesn't get too crazy during the weekdays. You can get pretty much everything you need here. Good selection at the dollar section and shelves are mostly stocked at all times. The only negative about this target location is the Returns/Online Pick Up line. Always a long line (at least 6 people) and only one cashier. It's frustrating when you're waiting 5 mins and the line doesn't budge. So I recommend either driving to the Target on Fallon Rd or get the items shipped and delivered to you. read more

What mom doesn't love a good target!?!? This target is great because there is now a Starbucks inside this location. Makes shopping some days so perfect!! This store is always clean and well stocked. Kind of an older model Target and they usually carry what I need. It's a standard Target it's not massive by any means and it's good to zip in and out. Since it's a bit smaller it doesn't carry many varieties of each kind of product but for quick things it's good to have this target near by! read more

I came here on 10/30/23 to pick up a shirt for a birthday gift that was only available at this location which was the closest to me - 20 miles away! Not a problem if that's what it is. I got an email that it was ready and on my app I let them know I'm on my way and once I arrived I alerted them I was there and provided the stall#. I waited VERY patiently as I watched lots of Target employees bring out and deliver bags to other cars. After a while of waiting I also received an update from Target stating they apologize for the delay as the store is very busy at this time. Finally after 25 minutes of waiting, I flagged one of the guys (George) about my order. He looked it up and come to find out Target had canceled it because they no longer have the shirt!! How'd that happen when I've been there the whole time and Target was also alerting me of the delay. So I was very confused about what transpired and pretty upset about this because I came all this way to do this pick up and during commute hour and at night (this was about 8 pm). But George was so nice that he apologized sincerely for what had happened. He was so kind and he offered me a $10 gift card for the trouble, he knew I came from 20 miles away. I won't forget his gesture. For such a young kid, he was so sweet to be so understanding and such great customer service. So Target you have a remarkable employee there. Hope you treat him right because he knows how to treat customers that's for sure. I had noticed him while waiting in my car and he was working his butt off, in and out of the store with bags to deliver to cars, he was very busy and he worked fast and efficiently. read more

On 4/8/25, I returned an air mattress. The security came up to me talking loud. He said, " You can't return this , I have seen you in here several times returning this." (Very loudly, there were several people in line) I told him and the female clerk who I had never seen before to look at what the box says. The hot head, wannabe"Security of the world,Craig" said, " What about it "? I then said read it. I didn't realize that I had the air mattress in the wrong box. I had one other one that could not be returned so I threw it away and kept the box. I unknowingly placed the new one in the old box and that is why the register said," this one had already been returned. FYI, the only way the Ahole could have saw me several times is if he was at work when it open. I asked him if he had been watching him? See, I don't have a car and the bus that stops near my house only runs early in the morning and late in the afternoon. And I hate that people sometimes judge by what you are carrying. I have to have something to put the returns and purchased items. The security guard should have been looking how much money I was spending. And as I stated above he's lying because he's just evidently going by my skin and hair color. I tried calling the manager on duty that assist me to tell him that I got no answer in returns or HR. I wanted to give the code off the box and explain the situation. One thing I do not like about store besides the Ahole security guard ( Loud talking, I won't get into what nationality is because no what nationality he is he is still an Ahole. Also, sometimes the items are shelved in the wrong place. Then, you have to go to the return counter and return them. Oh, I had a return slip with me that showed the adjustment price for one air mattress that I purchased and it went on sale. I had not opened it. That's what, if any, that sorry A hole saw return. There was a lady on her phone talking loud and it was mentioned to him but he said nothing to her. I guess not he was just as loud as she was. This location is ghettoooo. I don't know what happened to it. They are constantly out of stock of items. The floors are dirty and have splotches of black sticky residue. Even the sidewalk out front is ridiculously dirty and splattered with trash. Overall it's feeling like walmart and not target. The East Dublin and Livermore locations are 10x better and cleaner. 3.5 stars I was in the area recently and wanted to stop into Target to pick up a few things. This Target didn't disappoint -- it was A-OK! I really don't have any major complaints about this store, it's average size, and has just about everything that's on your shopping list. If you need a quick pick-me-up, there's a Starbucks in here, too. Parking isn't too bad, and it's really close to other stores that you might want to visit on your shopping trip (Sprouts is just on the other side of the road.) All-in-all, a decent Target to grab all of your household knickknacks. read more

If I could, I'd give this place zero stars for terrible customer service, unusable app while in the store and unverifiable inventory control. First off, customer service or lack of; specifically, from Collin, the front store service rep. Target management how do you hire someone this dumb and lazy?? I had used their app to find a standing fan and it stated there were 8 fans available. When we arrived, there were none so I politely asked this dumb#@# to check their inventory; he stated they had them in stock and redirected me to the same location to look again. Of course, none and he couldn't understand the discrepancy and did not bother to check the stockroom for anymore. I politely asked him to check other Targets in the area if they had any; he checked and another store had them in stock. I requested he contact them and put one on hold. He replied he could give me the number of that store and I should call. So Target management, what are you paying this person to do?? Certainly, not customer service, talking to two other workers? This is why I will continue to do most of my shopping on Amazon; no need to deal with dumb and lazy. Oh, and Target why does your app not work while in the store??
