This location is ghettoooo. I don't know what happened to it. They are constantly out of stock of items. The floors are dirty and have splotches of black sticky residue. Even the sidewalk out front is ridiculously dirty and splattered with trash. Overall it's feeling like walmart and not target. The East Dublin and Livermore locations are 10x better and cleaner. On 4/8/25, I returned an air mattress. The security came up to me talking loud. He said, " You can't return this , I have seen you in here several times returning this." (Very loudly, there were several people in line) I told him and the female clerk who I had never seen before to look at what the box says. The hot head, wannabe"Security of the world,Craig" said, " What about it "? I then said read it. I didn't realize that I had the air mattress in the wrong box. I had one other one that could not be returned so I threw it away and kept the box. I unknowingly placed the new one in the old box and that is why the register said," this one had already been returned. FYI, the only way the Ahole could have saw me several times is if he was at work when it open. I asked him if he had been watching him? See, I don't have a car and the bus that stops near my house only runs early in the morning and late in the afternoon. And I hate that people sometimes judge by what you are carrying. I have to have something to put the returns and purchased items. The security guard should have been looking how much money I was spending. And as I stated above he's lying because he's just evidently going by my skin and hair color. I tried calling the manager on duty that assist me to tell him that I got no answer in returns or HR. I wanted to give the code off the box and explain the situation. One thing I do not like about store besides the Ahole security guard ( Loud talking, I won't get into what nationality is because no what nationality he is he is still an Ahole. Also, sometimes the items are shelved in the wrong place. Then, you have to go to the return counter and return them. Oh, I had a return slip with me that showed the adjustment price for one air mattress that I purchased and it went on sale. I had not opened it. That's what, if any, that sorry A hole saw return. There was a lady on her phone talking loud and it was mentioned to him but he said nothing to her. I guess not he was just as loud as she was. I shop at this Target and San Ramon Target the most. These two stores vary quite a bit. First, the prices are very noticeable and substantial at times. I bought dolls for my girls this weekend. At the San Ramon store, it was $34.99 each. At the Dublin store it was $24.99 each. That is a huge difference! You better believe I purchased it at this store. The workers at Dublin West are friendlier (for the most part) than San Ramon, Dublin East, and Livermore stores. I have had some issues at the San Ramon store a few times. Many of the permanent older employees there are rude and very condescending. I like that they now have drive up (online orders). This Dublin store still does not. It is a much older store; but, if I'm buying Christmas gifts in the next month and a half; I am definitely shopping here. read more

****CUSTOMER SERVICE REVIEW ONLY**** It was a crazy busy Saturday and there were lines EVERYWHERE. I had under 10 items, but had to purchase alcohol. I was so bummed because that meant I had to get in a regular line. That's when an employee (I believe his name is Keyvon, if I got it wrong, IM SO SORRY) came up to me and said he could ring up my alcohol for me. Then, to my surprise he rang up all of my items! WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE! Come to find out this young man was the supervisor on duty! Way to go Dublin Target for hiring someone who went out of his way to deliver an exceptional experience for me! I can see why he's in a management position! In a position such as retail it's often difficult to keep your cool when dealing with people, and doing it with a smile, no less. But ever since school got out I don't know what type of kids they're hiring here that they all have a attitude constantly. I picked up and order today and the kid came with an attitude. If I could, I'd give this place zero stars for terrible customer service, unusable app while in the store and unverifiable inventory control. First off, customer service or lack of; specifically, from Collin, the front store service rep. Target management how do you hire someone this dumb and lazy?? I had used their app to find a standing fan and it stated there were 8 fans available. When we arrived, there were none so I politely asked this dumb#@# to check their inventory; he stated they had them in stock and redirected me to the same location to look again. Of course, none and he couldn't understand the discrepancy and did not bother to check the stockroom for anymore. I politely asked him to check other Targets in the area if they had any; he checked and another store had them in stock. I requested he contact them and put one on hold. He replied he could give me the number of that store and I should call. So Target management, what are you paying this person to do?? Certainly, not customer service, talking to two other workers? I went to the drive up and waited for my order. There was one employee running orders for drive up customers. I waited and waited but I had to leave eventually. I notified the Target app - "I'll come back later." Target's policy is to hold the order for 3 days. However, the employee bringing out my order cancelled it. It seems the employee was upset that they had to put the order back for me to retrieve later. It seems purposefully vindictive. I talked to another employee and asked why it was cancelled. This employee NEVER admitted that it was wrong. In fact, she doubled down that I waited but left. I guess it's ok to post one policy but do something altogether different? I asked to talk to a manager but they said no manager was on duty. Offered $10 gift card but they can shove it. read more

Our usual shopping spot to get most of your everyday items minus the groceries from safeways. The store is fairly big and seemingly has a good variety but it's not as big as the east dublin or San Ramon great land targets. I do admit to missing the smell of freshly popped popcorn but for those coffee fans, Starbucks has replaced the deli. Movies and music variety is good overall, but it's sometimes hard or impossible to find their exclusive items sadly. I do wish they sell more bigger items in the clothing lines, it just seems it's mainly 2x or smaller. The perishable dept like their produce is alright, their rotation has seemingly been better over the years. I used to see a lot of green russet potatoes on the shelf. Anyways, their customer service is usual good to very good, my only gripe is that the lines can be long at times. read more

Moved here a few months ago and have made at least a dozen trips to this local Target store. Like most Target aficionados, I've shopped at dozens of stores over the years. This store is easily in the bottom two (though I haven't been to the Atwater store in years, so who knows, maybe this one is the worst). First, the layout is not intuitive. If you want to find dishes and tablecloth, dinnerware and housewares are on nearly opposite ends of the store. Home decor is in a weird space in the center of the store, next to kids clothing. Baby department has an awkward wall that separates some clothes from others. Need a 2-pack of pajama onesies? That's on one side of the wall. If you want a 3-pack of short sleeve onesies though, that's on the other side. This would be okay if there were "H" type aisles, but the store is organized into blocks or grids. You can't just go up and down aisles to find the department you're looking for. Second, within each section, items are disorganized. I have bought gallon milk that rings up as a different price on 3 occasions. Target needs to make sure their products are placed on the right shelves (this was not a matter of a customer accidentally moving product. ALL of the MP whole milk was placed together) and that their labels are correct (same milk has been labeled $3.29, "New low price of $2.89", and $2.98, on three consecutive weeks. The third week, milk rang up as $3.29, but I didn't catch it until I got home). Additionally, while I was patient through the holiday months, clothing departments in mid January were in such disarray that I had an easier time finding my kid's pajamas at Ross. Let that sink in. Ross is more organized than Target. They do get that extra star because one week after I left feedback online, I did see some clean up in the kids clothes selection, but it did start deteriorating again two weeks later. In the meantime, I've elected to make most of my purchases online and return the extras in store so i can find the right sizes and to avoid price confusion. read more

Tired of being stopped and asked for a receipt when I buy things here. Hands are full with a product I just paid for at the check out (the manager had to come and remove the security tags for the checker), then 20 feet away the Target security person asks to see my receipt. I told them it's not a legal requirement to show my receipt, as I have paid for my product, am on my way out, and this is not a membership club. They insist it is legal to stop me and ask for my receipt before leaving. Will not be going back to Target. Tired of being profiled. I always seem to be singled out while other people walk right out before and after me. I hate leaving Yelp reviews, but I tried calling the store and the automated system hung up on me several times (which I see is common from other reviews). read more

Rather than be helpful, I was told to get the order myself and cancel what was ordered online. The associate even said the item was large but to go find it myself. I carried a large item through the store myself while several associates saw me struggle (no carts available inside). Then at checkout rather than allow me to use the order, they canceled it and made me checkout again. I tried explaining I was picking the item up for someone else and that didn't matter. This is a nice target. Well stocked and staffed and convienyent located near the 580 and 680 intersection. When you have kids target is a great place to walk around, relax, and show your kids toys, food, clothes, and more.this last time I purchased a dog toy as it seemed very good construction and when my kid is done with it we can give it to the dog, so double duty on the toy. Don't hate it till you try it. There is a Starbucks,self check out, bathrooms, and other things. One thing that I do not like about this location is all the speed bumps in the parking lot. read more

stopped at this Target to get a coffee and a few other items. We waited in line at the Starbucks for approx 30 minutes. We could see there were two people working, one was in training. We understand it would take a bit longer to get our drinks so we waited. There was a couple of people of ahead of us and several behind us when the trainer took a break. She was sitting watching the trainee and was eating and drinking. I get she probably had to take a break. 15 minutes later she was still on break when we finally got to the register to place our order. We asked for two mocha Frappuccinos. The trainee said I can't make it. We said excuse me, and she said I can't make it I don't know how, meanwhile the Trainer was watching and heard everything and just sat there smugly. We started walking away after waiting in line for 30 minutes without our drinks and the two girls, trainer and trainer just laugh at us as we walked away. We were pretty mad and just walked out of the store. I tried calling the store to talk to a manager but nobody answers the phone in any of the department's even today. These two girls have no business working in retail and have no customer service skills. Starbucks we know how hard it is to find any good help these day's but this was unexceptable behavior. And by the way, the bathroom was absolutely disgusting, used toilet paper and seat covers were piled up a foot and a half next to the toilet with fecies on the floor. I love love love reviewing places in San Ramon/Dublin/Pleasanton area because I grew up here and these were the places I always went to before I moved down to San Diego. I recently came back to NorCal but I live in the North Bay now so it's a far drive. Damn this Target is a classic! I remember when this was the only Target in the area back in the 90s before they opened Greatland Target in San Ramon! OMFG that long ago! This Target is definitely outdated but it's still near and dear to me! They only have a Target concession stand here, they don't have a Starbucks nor Pizza Hut like other Targets do. I was hoping they would have added one to this store by now. Fun Target Stories: 1.) Target had this contest back in 1996 or 1997 and you just drop your name off in a raffle type of thing and we won a ginormous teddy bear! It was maybe 4 or 5 feet tall and I think it used to be the Target unofficial mascot. It was called the Redwood Bear, very similar to Smokey the Bear. Anywho, that used to be the centerpiece in the bedroom I shared with my sister when we were kids. LOL 2.) Okay, here's a another story. Again, this was in the 90s, I believe it was 1999 or something like that, so I was in elementary school. There was an employee here whose name was Ramona. She was an elderly lady and when I saw her name on her name tag I told her that we shared the same name. She asked me if I liked bowling because she had something to give me. She took our phone number down and a few days later she called and told my mom that she wanted to give me a bowling ball that had "Ramona" engraved onto it. I guess she was in a bowling ball league or something like that and she had moved onto a different size ball and didn't know who to give that ball to :) I still have that purple "Ramona" bowling ball somewhere ! I forgot all about that story until now! I wonder how Ramona is doing now... anyone at Target know? We had a very large transaction (3 carts full) because we had to do all the Christmas decorating shopping for the office as well as for home. The store manager was super sweet at helping us with our transaction and made sure to organize the stuff in our carts so that we could lug them all out. Despite the holiday madness, all the aisles were as organized and neat as they could be. Plenty of parking. read more

I'm giving this place five stars for the customer service I usually get, but I'm writing this for a separate reason. I went in tonight and I overheard the manager, Monica, speak to her employees in the most disrespectful tone I have ever heard. They were asking her a simple question and she held up her hand to their face multiple times and interrupting them even though their question was very valid. Then she went back to other employees and snapped at them as well, saying that when she tells them something to not ask her more questions about it. I am a supervisor myself and I would never talk to my coworkers like that, and it made me so angry. Maybe she was having a bad day or maybe it's just her personality, but she has no business speaking to anyone else that way. I hope management does something to correct that because it does not look good on Target to have someone like that on their staff. Do better Monica. read more

I came into the store with my fiancé looking for items for our apartment, thinking this store will for fill our needs. Sadly they were low on inventory, so therefore we left with the items we chose. After checkout (paid cash) we were stopped at the door for our receipt. I have never been stopped at ANY target to review my receipt. No one else was stopped which made my fiancé and I upset. Good clean store - vacuums, decoration clothing - and even one Dyson fan left after the heat wave. Better quality products than elsewhere. The store shows some environmental consideration. First thing I noticed is that they upped the temperature a bit and had fewer lights on with a big sign stating about the spare the air day. Dog and pet supplies are in the far corner. Sometimes change is not good....and the total re-design of this store has rendered it useless to me. I will never buy food where lots fresh vegetables are not available, and bananas are not enough. Additionally, they do not carry at least a dozen of the product we normally buy at Target....I mean, really. I don't think I could hate Target even if i tried. They have a good selection of products at good prices. This one was a reasonable example of the chain, although the restroom was more like that of a Walmart. It seems strange that they can do such a good job on their groceries for not being a supermarket. For all the good selection, it seems that they've cut back on physical copies of movies and music, so they might be out of whatever you want. I guess Netflix, Redbox, and others have cut into their business. If they could really improve things, it would be at the registers. They respond fairly quickly but there is always a period where it seems you wait too long. read more

This has been my go to spot for many years, I've always preferred the selection here over the Greatland location, just because parking is usually not as complicated, and it is easier for me to get to this location after work and still hit up an Asian grocery store was well (both Ranch 99 and Le Asia are both right down the street). This Target always seems to be well stocked and I've never had any problems tracking down an item. Also as one of my friends put it, if you've got a fetish for soccer mom's and fake boobs, this would be the spot to hit up! read more

What makes this store noteworthy is because of its location! - It's less than 10 minutes away from where I live. - It's right next door to Burlington Coat Factory, 99 Ranch, Ross, Michael's, and Marshalls. - If I'm hungry, there's a Chipotle, Panera, Elephant Bar, Safeway, Popeye's, Burger King, Pearl Cafe Tapioca, and Starbucks. - If I need to get gas, there's a Chevron and Safeway gas station on each corner. Need I say more? OH! And it's less overwhelming that Target Greatland in San Ramon! Although, that place is poppin' too. I love Target. I love Target. I LOVE TARGET! We are Target regulars. It seems like every week (every other at least), we end up at Target shopping. Snacks, toys, clothes, gifts whatever... Target is a great place to go, even more so now that every Target nearby includes groceries. Enough to cover basic needs if you can't make it to the grocery store. I love the bargain bins at the front of the store. They always draw me in. Despite the fact that there are two other Targets closer to us, for some reason this is the Target we always end up at. The thing that I love about all Target stores, regardless of where it is located, is that you always know what to expect. Upon walking into this store, I was immediately sucked into the $1 deals at the front entrance. This one was heavily stocked with Fall and Halloween goodies. And while I was able to resist, my companion was not, so we spent a good 5-10 minutes perusing the offerings. I was able to find my wedding cards and Febreeze air freshening sprays without problem as Target stores are always laid out about the same way. Checkout was quick and easy. I'll probably be back for more errands in the future. read more

Had a pretty annoying experience here today. The lady working there was extremely rude (larger white lady). When I first walked in and saw her wiping the carts down for customers I thanked her and she ignored me. Later when I was walking toward the self-checkout kiosk she said "you need to give me enough space to clean this and that isn't enough space." Yet when the machine needed employee input she walks up right next to me to enter the code. I get it. These are trying times, but there's absolutely no need to be rude. Dear Target, Oh how I love you so! I just started using your Pharmacy and I'm very pleased! I get to shop for the necessities (or the clearance aisles) while you fill my drugs! It's fun to have a choice of color on your bottle top and you can opt to have non-child safety caps. Makes my life easier and I love Tarjay even more! The Pharmaceutical techs are fantastic! Very thorough. The gal even helped me get a discount card for one of my super expensive antibiotics. My whole consumer world revolves around Target, I hardly shop anywhere else! Shelves are extremely bare, they don't enforce wearing masks (even though the have a sign posted on the front doors), and they don't wipe down card readers at the self checkout. Definitely won't be returning to this location. read more
