We had a large group (36 teenage racers) event today. Our host, Steven, was efficient and very kind. We had a great time!

it was a fun straightforward process. first time racing and i'd definitely come back again!

My son got invited to a couple of quick birthday races from his friend at school and he had a blast. I will say I'm glad I wasn't on the track with these teen boys but I'm glad they had fun. The restroom was nice and clean. I didn't try any food or play any games so my review is based off of my 13 year olds reaction. He enjoyed it so much we found another go kart place in Reno while we were there and took him to that one too! read more

Where do I begin... called a total of 3 times to clarify information and possible scenarios before driving up 2-3 hours to celebrate a buddies birthday and have some fun. Unfortunately we only had 7 so we couldn't do the 8 person reservation. I called to get info about wait times (I understand that they can't give me an exact estimate so I told them give me worse case scenario) and I was advised that the group of 7 could have some long wait times so we opted to just come up with 3 of us. Upon arrival, place was dead other than 2-3 staff members within sight. We asked the individual behind the counter some basic questions being first timers at that location, we ended up purchasing 2 races and we received 1 for free because it was Tuesday and that was just a deal they had. After they took our money they said "well it could be about 30 minutes until you all race" which we responded saying that it's totally fine we will hangout thank you. Well since we had 30 minutes to kill why not buy some arcade credits and mess around (very mediocre arcade at best). After we purchased arcade credits, about 15 minutes went buy another employee came up to us to let us know that if we wanted to race we would have to wait till about 4:45-5pm because a group rented out the facility and there's just nothing they can do. Keep in mind when we purchased our races, 2:23pm to be exact, we got told 30 minutes. Somehow between multiple phone calls to confirm before the long drive and the day of upon arrival purchasing our races not a single individual let us know about this possible booking. ALSO no we did not show up before this group event, they were already there. Which in their defense the employee giving us a refund said "well we are not allowed to tell people about bookings". Great totally understandable I run a business my self and I understand private information etc. however the lying of race times, letting us wait for a bit and following up with "if you don't take the refund we will give you 2 extra races" well thanks but I find it hard to believe we got the full reasoning behind the situation... also to add more context, no we weren't those customers causing issues, being overly loud, or causing any sort of issues. Civilized beings and in return got a pretty S*** end of the stick. K1 speed its self is great but this location is ran by some individuals that have zero interest in making the experience rememberable. K1s slogan "Arrive and Drive" they have printed on their business cards left out crucial information. Arrive and drive past. Keep your money and spend it with a business that will give you the proper attention. Not asking to be treated like royalty. Just some common decency. read more

This place is ridiculous. AVOID if you can!!! We brought the kids here on Monday, only to be turned away because it was a drifting night. The kids were super disappointed, so we decided to come back Wednesday night, only to be told it was full. Again, the kids were disappointed. Tonight, we tried calling before making the trip, but no one answered even after waiting on the phone for 10 minutes. We drove there anyway, only to find a sign outside saying it was closed to the public because the facility had been rented for a private event. Such a waste of time and gas! This place clearly doesn't need the business, so we'll take ours somewhere else. read more

Extremely unprofessional and rude. I arrived around 4pm, and informed the front desk that I bought 4 races online (there were two of us, so 2 races for each person). The girl at front desk (she had a ponytail and winged eyeliner) said we can come back at 6:30 for our first race, and at 7:10 for the 2nd race. She told us to check in at the kiosk when we arrive later. I agreed, and we came back at 6pm and checked in at the kiosk computer. There was a difference girl at front desk this time (asian), and we told her how we were informed earlier that we could race at 6:30 and 7:10. She gave us the head covers and said we could head down. We waited quite a while to get into the car, but when it was our turn, they said our names were not put down for any races. We went back to front desk, where the same girl said that we never bought any races. I told her that we had purchased them online. She then said we need to pay for a membership -- we had not been informed of this at any point prior to this. At this time it was already 6:50pm. I asked her why she never said anything when we checked in, and why she just handed us the head covers. She didn't say anything. We paid for the membership cards. She then said we cannot race until 8pm, to which we objected because we followed all of the directions we were given; when we had arrived at 6pm, she had simply given us the head covers and told us to head in, she had never said we need to buy a membership and that we can't race without it. When we brought this up with the other worker, the girl denied all of it, and said we were making things up. I have worked in customer service for many years, and I understand that workers will lie so that they do not get in trouble. It is completely unfair that we came in at 4pm, were told to come back at 6:30, and now we cannot race until 8pm, all because your workers are not able to check if we are all set to go to race. They are clearly not trained properly, and on top of that will make the customer look like a liar so that they do not get in trouble. read more

I just paid over $1,600 for a birthday party for my son and I don't even know where to begin with what a horrible experience this was. I have had parties at places like Pump It Up, Safari Run, etc. for both my kids over the last few years and I have never been to a facility that was so poorly organized. At no point did anyone from K1 review how the party would flow, etc. it was extremely unclear how the races would happen, instead of having our two groups of kids race 1 after the other, one group of kids would race, then a separate group of people would race, then out party would go again. The second group of racers were almost forgotten about, there was nobody from the facility to help in the party room, there literally wasn't even a trash can available in the room. I am more than happy to serve the pizza, etc. but generally speaking, when you are paying $100/person to have a party at a facility like this, there is someone available to help. I have no idea how they have the audacity to expect a minimum suggest $200 tip when nobody did anything to actually help organize, clean up, etc. The kids had fun racing, but outside of that, I would NEVER host another party here. read more

I competed in K1 Speed's 2025 International K1RS Championship, finishing 2nd out of thousands of racers worldwide. I paid the standard race points for every single race I entered all season and traveled extensively to compete, including internationally. In April 2025, K1 Speed's own blog profiled me as the K1RS Points Leader -- at that time I led the championship by 10,000 points. By season's end I had lost the title by 3,226 points. I later obtained partial records from K1's own system (I do not have access to the complete season). Those records show the 1st place finisher received at least 138 complimentary "qualifier" races -- the free race type intended for party bookings, which costs the racer nothing but still generates championship points. I received zero free races all year. The records also show these free sessions were run before the location's posted opening hours, concentrated in the final months of the season. What the complete records would show, only K1 Speed knows -- and they have declined to produce them. When I formally disputed the results, K1 Speed's championship department responded in writing: "we can confirm that any points that were incorrectly awarded have been removed before the posting of the final results. As a result, the K1RS standings will remain as published." They admitted points were incorrectly awarded to the winner -- but refused to say which points, how many, or how the standings could remain identical after removing them. I've filed complaints with the California Attorney General and the FTC. If you race competitively in the K1RS program, look closely at how points are administered. I loved racing at K1 for years -- their own profile of me shows how much -- which is what makes this so disappointing. read more

Two people ahead of us in line however it took 30 minutes for us to get up to the register--the check-in process takes way too long. We even pre registered with the QR code yet we still had to wait in the same line as people who didn't pre register. Only one cashier. Not efficient. "Membership" fee added for first time visitors, even if you don't plan on returning. Total $118 for 3 children to race for one 10-minute slot, doesn't include arcade games. Crazy fees! They also try to force you to buy an additional "practice round" for first timers drivers, a 10-minute ride of a very low speed but for full price. Takes convincing the cashier to decline it. There aren't enough arcade games to occupy teens during all the wait time. This place is not worth it in the slightest. read more

Racing was legit fun. But service, food and "experience" was seriously lacking for $100 a person. Our group of 20 was recently in and got the Taco bar as they had no other options for folks with gluten sensitivity. The food was straight up bad. I've never laughed when the meal was presented before but a disposal hotel pan of chicken, beans, corn tortillas and 5 cups of sautéed vegetables for $2k and 2 races is insane with no water or cups. You had to go the bar for bottle drinks. Also the bar was straight up not staffed for multiple occasions there was a bell put out and I assumed it was for service, hit the bell, waited for 5 min, no one came. If you're coming to race, bring your own food/drink and this could be a good time. Other than that, absolutely skip it. Yikes. read more

I had a really fun time at K1 Speed overall. The electric karts are fast, the tracks are well designed, and the lap timing system makes it competitive and exciting. It's a great spot for birthdays, group hangouts, or team events. Many customerss mention the staff being friendly and helpful, especially for first-time racers. read more

On August 21, 2025, My K1 Speed race was cancelled, I cried all the way to Golfland. Went again on December 29, 2025, and raced that day. Hopefully this never happens again because it's the only racetrack in my area, And I'm a racer, so if it closes, my racing career is ruined. Racing makes me happy. read more

Great for parties and if very fun. Food comes in at the end so if you plan it right your guests won't be starving. Another complaint is I wish they had a dedicated party host. They are short handed and it's tough to get a hold of someone for your party. read more

Still sitting here. Just thought we could come here with four kids on a Saturday and have a fun race. WRONGOOOOOO DO NOT PLAN ON THIS!!!! I wish any of the reviews would have told me this before coming but on the weekends, it is all birthday party priority so we literally had to come here and pay $175 for 4 kids to do two races and the wait was about 7 hours. We have spent a small mint on food and video games , but it is our son's 13th birthday and he has never been here, and he wanted to come here with a couple friends. I wish I had known all this before coming . I am writing the review that I wish I would have read!!!! If I knew all this I would have booked a party. Don't plan to ever come back. We purchased a race package over spring break (4/7/26). We were told after we bought the packages that it would be a 2 hour wait before we could race. We decided to leave for the day and come back the next day (4/8/26). Once again, we were told it would be a one hour wait. We said fine, went to grab lunch, and then came back in an hour. We were the told that it was going to another 1 hour wait. There is no way to reserve a time for your race. So each time we came, we were stuck waiting for an extra 2 hours. They also would not refund us for the races so we were forced to wait the two hours or lose our money. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE. read more

Hadn't been here in a couple of years until recently. They have computers on site to sign up, then you move on to pay with one of the employees there. We were a pretty big party, so it took a while to get us all situated. It was surprisingly empty for a Friday afternoon but it seems like we just beat the rush. They provide you with everything you need. There is an arcade for games as well. Such a fun activity, they will also let children race on their own. There is plenty of parking. read more

Not 1 but 3 bad experiences. I drove over after calling, and the automated message said I had to come in person for tickets. Once I got there on Friday night at 5pm they said they had no races that my kids could do for the night. The next night I went and called before coming. Waiting for a real person and asked if they availability that night. They told me they were open but I had to go in person to get a reservation. After arriving I was again told that they were out of spots. Today I decided to get in right when they open at 10am and they told me that they don't have kids races till 8pm today. This has been a huge waste of my time and money for gas. Drove 3 hours in total for nothing. This place is a waste of time and not meant for families. read more

- The Scam K1 Racing Experience I'll try to keep it short and to the points without a story this time. 1. They force you to buy an annual pass card which is not expensive but why do I need to pay for a membership if I'm coming literally once for fun? 2. The whole car setup is rigged. So basically if you know the people working there as we clearly saw drivers hand fiving and hugging the workers in the racing pit, we also noticed these people they knew were winning and were much faster then the other cars. Why? I found out when I started driving. See they have someone control the speed of the cars for each one. So if your winning and their friends are racing they systematically reduce the speeds of the cars in front of their friends. So naturally I was curious why my cars speed was being reduced when I was leading until I see one of their friends climbing on me to take the lead and win. That seemed very fair lol. 3. I would suggest all women avoid racing. They have no care or punishment for anyone that slams the girls hard on the track. We saw it several times and thought Jesus like will they say anything. Nope. Why? Because they knew the aggressors and high fived them afterwards. 4. The services is well ehhhh. We had to wait several minutes each time to speak with someone to ask a question or sign up. Because they were busy talking about their relationships etc. you know! lol ahhhhh. We will never be back here. Please. A scam is a scam. And this is a perfect one. I have to say may open up one of these myself. Hahahahaha read more

We had a great experience for our first time. We came in during a not so busy time so we didn't have much wait time. There's buy 2 get 1 additional race on Tuesdays. It's a good deal. I had to get an annual membership. I was told that's still a better deal than the bundle membership which comes with a shirt and membership. So I went for it. You get an extra race for being your birthday! So if your birthday is coming up within a week timeframe before or after, you can take advantage of this deal. So first experience was a bit nerve wrecking since I didn't know how fast folx will go and I didn't want to get hit by other drivers. The nice thing that I learned is that folx are not supposed to hit each other on purpose like bumper cars so this gave me some reassurance especially if you're going at fast speed. The race only runs until the first person who completes the 12 laps. It was a bummer for us newbies since we were still learning how to navigate the course and vehicle. So I only got to do 7 laps out of 12 for my first race. I did better on the second race and even though I was going faster, I only got to complete 10 laps out of 12. I don't know how other folx race through the course but I suppose it can only go up from here. Wearing a mask underneath is a good idea since they don't clean the helmets after each race. They do give you something to wear underneath the helmet though so that's a little better. I still wear a mask regardless. I felt safe that they have folx adjusting your seatbelts for you. If you pull the eye cover from the helmet all the way down, it tends to fog up so I was told to keep it slightly ajar and that helped with not fogging up the goggles/eye protector. The course wasn't very dirty but I've been to ones that splashed some dirt or oil on my clothes before so wear something dark or clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Anyhow, this is all the tips I got. Enjoy racing! read more

I wish I could actually review something about this place, but after calling several times with no answer we showed up during open hours to take our kids racing. Lo and behold, they have special kids hours. We asked how we could have known, and they said you have to call a special extension that is not posted online, and they don't post their hours online. Our kids were devastated. Please, post the hours in which juniors can race online to avoid this in the future. read more

I paid the price for standard race not for the Junior. Staff is extremely not helpful at all turned the speed limit on when there's somebody that can go full speed every single lap, not fair. Not recommended this location at all, these guys just ruining the fun part of this circuit read more

If I could put zero stars I would, awfully ran business, we called ahead of time and confirmed multiple times that we could race, got the run around and were told 3 people could come in a race, 3 hour drive later we arrive check in at 2:30 all is well, pay for our races are told it's a 30 minute wait , no problem then some lady comes over and tells us we cannot race, there has been a cooperate buy out of the facility till 5:00, then she tells us you need a 32 person minimum to buy out the track which isn't true, gives us the run around and tells us there is no way we can get the races we paid for unless we wait over 2 hours, keep in mind we drove up for a birthday. No remorse no care just discard anything else that doesn't affect the woman that was dealing with us. If you want to waste your time this is a perfect place to go. read more

A buddy and I showed up on a Tuesday night around 6:50pm and planned on using our free race from a prior visit. 1 race. We waited until 8:15pm as we watched party after party of 1, 4, and 6 racers. I would have understood if the races were full and we had to wait for an empty slot, but why would you have a race begin with 4 people only when there's walk-in's waiting? When asked about this, the employee said, "The races aren't full." Well that's what I'm asking though? Why not get out ONE race out of the way? There is a lot of favoritism among employees and regular drivers. Makes it a complete and utter waste of time for anyone looking for a good way to wind down after work. Way to keep your top racer on your leaderboards guys! Completely fair and fun! read more

I don't think management gives a rip what is said. They only care about their regulars. Faux Tony Stark manager is the most unnerving person to speak to. Zero logic in his reasoning. Following his train of thought, Rory Mcllroy dials in his game playing miniature golf. He expressed zero concern regarding his employee being disrespectful or his regular "racers" abusing new drivers. Been waiting 2 hours for second race. Why? We asked not to race with the abusive drivers. They go in every other race. We wait, wait, wait! Faux Tony told us he got to the bottom of it and it was some other drivers that are now gone. Funny thing is, despite knowing who the privileged were, I never referred to any specific drivers. Yet, there's faux Tony talking it up with two wanna be racers. Even better, Tweetle Dum Gavin was instrumental in another driver hitting the wall hard in the very race we opted out of. So, now you've been informed. You support regular drivers abusing occasional visitors. This will work until the magical moment in time when it doesn't. When that day comes, It will be a costly lesson. read more

Staff was nice, and the race track is pretty simple for kids. The check in process was easy on a Monday afternoon. A group of Karen parents were taking the racing too seriously for the kid's league. I like that the track is beginner friendly for my kiddo, but why are people being so hostile over a kid's race? We saw the same group of people arguing with the staff because the kid's race kept slowing down due to kids bumping into each other. The overall hostility of these parents really killed the experience. Poor sportsmanship. read more

Purchased 3 races, was told after 2 races that we would be called again over the intercom. Waited an hour only to learn that our third race was in fact cancelled after we asked the desk. Really frustrated over the unprofessionalism, paid good money to not even be given the courtesy to be told my race was cancelled. read more
