I've been to Juniors' twice and each time I was not disappointed. The portions are typically enough to feed me for at least two meals. I pride myself on being an equal opportunity French fry lover, but Juniors' fries are those supremely seasoned shoestring fries that have the thin, just barely battered, shatteringly crisp crust that gives them that addictive quality. Whether they're the regular fries or Cajun seasoned, they're outstanding. The 939 Club -- which can be two-bread or three-bread style, aka "classic" -- has the type of bread that somehow manages to be toasty, but not rip up the roof of my mouth. It was piled high with meat and fresh tomatoes and lettuce, so it definitely hit the spot. The Big O's chicken sandwich is basically the chicken pesto sandwich of my dreams. The sourdough roll it was served on had that sweet ratio of meat where the sandwich didn't fall apart as I ate it. The pesto was smooth, so I didn't feel like I needed to toothpick my teeth (or chew a bunch of mints from garlic breath.) It was a really well balanced sandwich. I'll definitely return. The food prep or storage was beyond sub-par, not sure where it went wrong. I went with a buddy after seeing a pretty decent rating. I ordered the Mac and cheese burger and he ordered the chicken cesar salad sandwich along with some onion rings. We had ordered ranch as the dressing/condiment. In the moment, the food was decent, nothing amazing, but not bad. Later in the night, we both ended up having stomach aches. I began to throw up a few times, but I was able to overcome the sick feeling. My buddy on the other hand wasn't so lucky. He had a constant vomit state. He became extremely unwell/dehydrated and had to go to the hospital. They gave him some medicine and hooked him up to an IV. I recommend the place off of reviews and ended up embarrassed, sad really. I went to Junior's tonight because it was Friday. I wanted to try the clam chowder. I rounded out my meal with the calamari a virgin mojito. The calamari there is served in sticks instead of the usual rings. It was creamy and lightly battered. I loved both dipping sauces. The pickle aioli was good, but the red bell pepper aioli was slightly spicy and absolutely delicious. Adding a squeeze of lemon made it a perfect bite. The chowder was fine. Having just had another chowder the day before that was richer and thicker, made this one seem lacking. It wasn't. But I don't think I would make a special trip for it. Service was good. The restaurant is welcoming. Not a bad option for a Friday dinner. read more

This was the first time trying out Juniors' in Tracy. We were greeted at the door with amazing host, great atmosphere, food was really good. I would have to say the calamari was 10 out of 10. I would have to say the best part of coming to this restaurant was our server Jeremy what an amazing guy he went above and beyond not only did he give us excellent menu recommendations, but also went over the menu with us. He definitely knew his stuff along with the alcohol drinks that they had here.. Has a positive and fantastic customer service. He was so attentive, great smile, and will definitely come back again because of him he would be such an amazing manager to work for in the future. read more

I hate leaving a bad review, but this warranted it. They at one time had the best food. Not sure what happened. I ordered the chicken platter with onion rings, grandson ordered the same with fries. (These were so bad, had a hard outside texture no spices the onion rings were not crunchy , took a bite all grease) My grandson always eats his chicken and took one bite and looked at it and then looked at me I said I know horrible, just dip it in the sauce or ketcup. I didn't even eat one tender. Needless to say I left a whole plate of food, one bite from the chicken and one onion ring. My son order Chicken Marsala , daughter in law ordered salmon plate and grand daughter ordered chicken alfredo. I talked to the waitress and told her they need to buy another brand of chicken and the oil was bad. She was super nice and I told her not her fault, she asked what she can do. Didnt want any other food, actually didnt know the other plates were just as bad. I got up and talked to the cooks and ask them why spices in the chicken and was sure they ordered battered chicken from supply house, said change the brand, and then ask if they changed the grease and they said no about a week, no time. It was so bad. Told them to buy different chicken and needs to change their grease, was why the onion rings had a heavy grease taste. I cooked for years so I know when grease is bad. Later the manager came to my table and I told her that the chicken was bad. didnt' know about other food until the next day. My son is pretty nice and not as bold as his old mom. LOL She asked what she could do. I said credit the chicken and was to late to order something else. I couldnt eat anything else on their menu, was why I ordered chicken, so I said said as you can see nothing eaten on the plate, just credit it. She did only one chicken. My son texted me and apologized because of the bad food, told him not his problem. He said mom you didnt eat tonight. said its ok. So today he texted me and again said sorry and then he said mom, our dishes were horrible too. taste less and not fresh. HUM. He should say something. This will be the last time we eat there. was one of our favorites. So hense the review. I forgot we ordered the tatoe tots with garlic. First time at Juniors after hearing friends rave reviews. Drove here to Tracy from Modesto. I ordered the garlic fries and shrimp scampi for myself. My husband ordered the buffalo chicken salad. My cousins ordered the halibut and the Cajun pasta. The garlic fries were delicious. Crispy and garlicky! Just as it should be. The shrimp scampi was good, but lacking in protein. You get a large plate filled with pasta but about 5 pieces of shrimp. Flavor is simple & rich, nothing too special; that's why I added the crushed peppers for a bit of a kick. My husband enjoyed his salad. I don't think I'll order the same thing again if I come back. Maybe I'll need to try something else. Service was quick and waitress was attentive. I came here for the first time recently with my family and bf. I was pleasantly surprised to see how spacious the restaurant was when I stepped inside. When we arrived, we were greeted by staff members and seated within a couple of minutes. For starters, we ordered the Garlic Parmesan Tots and Clam Chowder to share. The tots were crispy and yummy, but I did wish that there was a bit more garlic and parmesan. The clam chowder was okay - not the best I've ever had. For my main entree, I ordered the Cheese Tortellini with Chicken. Overall, it was good. The chicken was moist and not dry. The creamy pesto sauce was tasty. However, the breadsticks were very doughy tasting and too soft. When everyone's entrees came out, I was shocked at how generous the portions were. Each dish came with a good amount of food. I even shared the tortellini with my mom, and we still couldn't finish it. We ended up taking some leftovers home. Overall, we had a good dinner and a pleasant experience here. read more

We were seated promptly. My husband ordered a beer on tap and I had a Bombay Sapphire martini. My martini was perfect!! My husband started with the wedge salad and had the Philly cheese steak sandwich with fries. He was hoping to see more cheese on the sandwich. I had the salmon with risotto and broccolini. We come here on occasion and wanted to try something different. I ordered the shrimp scampi pasta and there was literally 5 pieces of shrimp. Why even call it shrimp scampi pasta? Very disappointed for a $27 dollar meal that was basically pasta. It also tasted way too zesty. My daughter ordered the kids grilled cheese and the cheese was not melted. Another disappointment. We will not be coming here again and will go down the street to Chapter 2 where they have awesome shrimp scampi with good portions of shrimp and a melted grilled cheese. After I posted my original post, the manager or who appeared to be the manager came to our table. She approached our table with a snarky attitude and did not bother to introduce herself. It's almost like she came charging in and ready to fire off any response. She automatically offered to take my daughter's meal off which I told her she did not have to. I had a really disappointing experience at Juniors in Tracy. I simply asked to split my order so part could be eaten there and part packed to go -- nothing complicated. The staff refused, which was already surprising, but the real issue was the floor manager's attitude. He was flippant and overly aggressive when explaining the policy, which made an already confusing situation feel hostile. This wasn't about a mistake -- it was about a complete lack of basic customer service and respect. I see a series of complaints involving the manager and his inability to take responsibility in the responses; this is frankly appalling. What a shame that someone with such a terrible attitude is allowed to continue as general/business manager. I hope upper management takes this seriously, because it left a bad impression and made the experience unnecessarily unpleasant. I plan to carry this complaint as far as I can including the state if necessary. No one should feel unsafe for inquiring about an unfulfilled reasonable request. read more

The onions rings seemed to be cooked in old oil and overcooked as the salmon was overcooked and very dry. The steak salad the meat was over cooked. The waitress was nice and let us enjoy our lunch without too many interruptions. There is only hard surfaces to sit on. I prefer a booth with cushion seating. There is a large bar area. My daughter found this place online, and we decided to try it today (December 28, 2025). The food was delicious overall. I ordered the New York steak salad. While the steak itself was a bit old and tough, the salad as a whole was flavorful and enjoyable. The main downside was the service. After we sat down, no server came to our table until the front-door greeter had to call someone over. Later, when I was ready to pay the bill, we again waited quite a while with no server checking in. When the server finally came by, she seemed rushed, even though the restaurant was not busy at the time. Normally I would give Juniors at least a 4 star review. Their food is very good, service tends to be good as well. The ambiance is just average but not unfriendly. What has lowered my view with Juniors is one they expect you to use your phone to view their menu with their QR code. When I go out to dinner I like to interact, communicate with people and out technology aside. The hostess always gives the impression that having a menu is inconvenient for them. On our last visit, the one that prompted this review is the unmentioned 3% surcharge for using a card instead of cash. I was not told this and irritated of its appearance. This is a restaurant and bar...how many people know exactly how much they are expecting to pay for food and drinks? I don't think there are a lot as I don't believe people tend to carry lots of cash. This should have been mentioned by the server. But, in reality taking a card and absorbing the card fees from the various companies. Juniors has raised their prices do to increased cost of business in food and alcohol, but this is just another fee that shouldn't be occurring. They should post this so people know ahead of time. So we went there to watch the Indiana Oregon game well when I first got there I wasn't properly greeted the manager that runs the store named. Billy asked me if I was going to be to rowdy. Ever since we found juniors, it's been our date night spot. The garlic fries were awesome. The pretzel is the best pretzel I've ever had. It was just a little crispy on the outside but SO SOFT on the inside. The staff are very nice and quick. As soon as we were finishing our plates, they would offer to take them out of our way. We asked our server for extra garlic on our fries and they do not fail! It was an awesome amount of garlic and when we looked at the receipt we started laughing. She put a bit of "Extra garlic. Came here yesterday for the first time and was super excited to try it out, but left disappointed. We sat down and weren't told the menus were only viewable per the QR code so we sat for a minute then our server came in and asked for our drink order. My mom explained we don't have menus and the server told her just scan the QR code in a very rude tone and my mom told the server okay we were unaware of where the menu was. We felt rushed to order because the server continuously came by asking for our order no more than a minute after we began looking through the menu, which was frustrating to say the least. The food was okay it wasn't that great the pasta: shrimp scampi and spaghetti felt very bland and lacked flavors. Overall I wasn't impressed by the food or the service. read more
