I was visiting family in the area on June 13 and decided to stop by for dinner. We were seated immediately, and our waiter was pretty friendly. We only had one issue, which was likely not the fault of our waiter. It took a while for us to get some ketchup for my fiance's mom. It wasn't terribly crowded, but we are all human so I wouldn't fault anyone for taking a hot minute to track down a bottle of ketchup. I ordered a California chicken club sandwich. I fancy a good shoestring French fry, but these ones in particular are outstanding. I found myself wanting the fries even more than my sandwich, and that is a high compliment because I also love sandwiches on sourdough. My one and only complaint about this trip was the temperature of the restaurant. Tracy heat was in the triple digits and it felt as though there was zero air conditioning. All of us were sweating at our table, and the wait staff was visibly sweating as well. If the air conditioning was broken, it would have been nice to know before we sat down. The Biscoff pizookie was a really nice ending to the meal. The combo of vanilla ice cream, Biscoff cookie butter drizzle, and hot/soft cookie were perfect. I hope this location gets a better AC situation soon. read more

I just wanted a Cesar salad so I ordered on DoorDash and I got the salad and croutons and no dressing. Like HOW do you forget to put the dressing? For ONE item!? While I'm here I'd like to add how bad the service is here. I've been inside maybe 3 times and the bartender is always just standing at the end talking to other employees. When your nachos come in a pizza box, you know they are going for "serious" eats. They arrived looking amazing. Just wish they tasted that way. First off, the chips were thin and crispy. Love that with salsa, but not really for nachos. They can't stand up to all the toppings. Then there was the siracha queso and the chicken. Both were just bland. I was really hoping for a bigger flavor punch. The tomatoes, onions, and jalapenos were fine. So we're the salsa and guacamole that can on the side. Bonus points for the generous serving size. My overall impression of the nachos was that they were ok. Nothing I would order again. My Shirley Temple was good,though. I would still give BJ's a try. We came over for happy hour yesterday. The service at the bar was overall ok. I had to get her attention a couple of times to order drinks instead of her noticing they were getting low and her asking if we would like another. She was friendly though and had a good sense of humor so I'm not going to knock her that hard. The bar was busy. The overall vibe of the place was typical for those restaurants. It was a little loud, but, again, it's happy hour so not too unexpected. The food was decent. The beer was good. Their happy hour margarita was very weak, though. That guacamole they use is good though. It could use a little more salt or something. That's my only critique. The egg rolls were as good as always. We would come back to this one again and it's fairly close to where we live so that's a bonus. They keep tempting me with their beer club and I may end up giving in to their siren's call. read more

Sad to say that I had to lower my rating after my most recent visit. I came around dinner time so there was a wait. It was almost an hour, which isn't too bad. My hubby and I asked for water as our drinks, which had black specks inside. We asked for new water, which was thankfully clean this time. Our waitress kindly double checked to make sure. Then our food came, which tasted decent but we never got any utensils so we asked for that. Unfortunately, they came dirty and I didn't want to bother our waitress again so I used the water and cloth to clean our forks. We were also never offered any water refills throughout our meal and it was hard to flag down any other waiters as they weren't near our table. We ordered a side of sweet potato fries, which came unseasoned and was such a small plate for $7. So overpriced! My wife was craving some BJ's Pizza so I decided to order one for pickup. It was an extremely hot day today so I appreciated the slap of good cold A/C when i walked in through their door. I was greeted and offered assistance quickly and it did not take very long for my food to get handed to me. I only waited maybe like 5-7 minutes. It was also not that busy too so i guess that helped. Unfortunately once we started eating the pizza the experience went south pretty quick. The first wave of disappointment is that they had drizzled the pizza with their sauce even after leaving it in the instructions on the app. Second was that the pizza was not cut through correctly, so some slices were still stuck together. Third, i don't know what happened but the dough was very dry and the bottom was hard to chew. Overall the quality of the pizza was pretty bad, we had to throw half of it way because it was not pleasant to eat it anymore. Im glad i did not pay full price for this due to an offer through the app. Regardless, it was not acceptable considering this is one of their main items in their menu. Usually i try to avoid doing pick ups for restaurants like this, since usually the best experience is dining in. If we would have ate there, we could've asked for the pizza to be remade and give the restaurant the opportunity to make it right. I wouldn't mind going to eat there in person with my family. This location is right off Naglee road near all the other chain restaurants, Target, the Mall, movie theater, and right near the Grant Line west bound freeway exit. BJ's is a nice restaurant with tons of choices and a unique style for a chain. The brewery feel & deep menu set it apart in a lot of ways from other chain restaurants. Their beer selection is deep, & it has many great choices to choose from too. They've also got a lot of awesome food items. Our go to is the avocado rolls for appetizer for sure. Then for lunch or dinner there's a huge amount to choose from. You can get custom thin crust or deep dish pizzas, burgers, pastas, salads, etc. The fried chicken dish is one of my favorites. Of course you can't leave here without ordering a pizookie. My daughter likes the triple chocolate chip one, with chocolate ice cream. What's cool is they let you pick vanilla or chocolate for the ice cream on top of the pizookie. We'll keep coming to BJ's to eat or get takeout. read more

I visited BJ's today and... it was okay. We started with the avocado egg rolls and WOW, those were sooo good. Definitely one of my favorites and the clear winner of the appetizers. For entrées, we ordered the shrimp Alfredo, boneless wings, and shrimp tacos. Unfortunately, the Alfredo was a huge letdown. It had absolutely no flavor and we ended up sending it back. The shrimp tacos were decent, but there was way more cabbage and toppings than shrimp. The boneless wings were fine, nothing special. The real highlight of the night? The pizookies. Hands down the best part of the entire meal. If I came back, it would honestly just be for the pizookies. read more

While here, we realized HH started at 9pm, so I ordered a few more things. The glass of wine and a few personal pizzas. These are great deals, so would definitely recommend BJ's for HH. The server was nice and informative but was not keeping up with the orders I did it see a manager helping out , maybe they were behind in the kitchen helping - I would think there would be some type of monitoring of when the orders came in to the kitchen and the food sitting waiting to be served , I understand being short staffed but it was evident the food was prepared and sat and hot cold. Fairly new Bjs in town and the ambience was very cute and cozy. Smaller than the other ones I been to. Service was good . Got mozzarella sticks as an appetizer, good portion to share. I come here by myself a lot of the time. I have never had such bad service as I had today. I came here happy ready to unlimited soup and salad and that didn't happen. It a span of one hour I received one soup and two salads. Two salads and she kept on skipping on the drink even though she did see that I needed a drink! The salads were coming out timed at the 25 minute mark. She also waited 20 plus minutes to tell me that the clam chowder wasn't available and they just put it down! I come in 2-3 times week when staying in Tracy (hopefully I haven't worn out my welcome there LOL). Food has been on par almost every time I've eaten/gotten take out. My go to are definitely the avocado egg rolls, pot stickers, mini pizza, burger sliders from the appetizer menu as well as their sauced boneless wings and fish n chips entree. Service is the best there. It's usually Brooke working the bar when I go in and she has always treated me well since I've been going. She's fast, she knows what I like to drink and constantly checks to see if I have everything I need. The rest of the staff is solid too (Nico, Ronaldo, Jocelyn, Henny). Even the managers take the time to say hello. The ambiance is usually pretty relaxed and cozy when I come in during their late night happy hour, which is what I prefer. There have been times I've been here during the dinner rush and on game days where it can get loud and hectic, but I see the staff working hard to keep up. I appreciate the staff there. Albeit, we had no issues with the food, they seemed to be extremely understaffed during the lunch hour and our experience greatly suffered because of it. - We needed a few more minutes before we ordered, which quickly turned into 15 or more minutes before our server made another appearance -Our food took about 40 minutes to come out. Our server told us it was ready and coming out in a moment.. but we waited 10-15 minutes longer before it hit the table which made for cold fries. -We had to ask multiple times for refills on drinks -Once we finished, we had to hunt someone down to ask for boxes and to take our money so we could leave. With all new establishments comes dialing in the experience. I'm going to give this location a few months to fix the kinks before we try them again. read more

For my first time, I was pleasantly surprised at the menu options as well as the deals offered by the chain daily . The atmosphere and music is great and gives the vibes of a beautiful modern rustic line dance hall, which I love! I was greeted by a kind and lovable host named Lania, who not only recommended me something super tasty as a main dish, but followed it with fresh and delicious sides! Ronaldo M. (My waiter) surprise me with the Mondays 6$ margarita which ended up being a tall glass margarita! ( I was more than confused at first because I'm so used to paying more for what 6$ got me)! I would think since this place is brand new within a year now they would have it together already. But I guess I was expecting it too much. I had a party of 10 and the staff here was not attentive nor even accommodating to my party. We waited almost 2 hrs for our table for a party of 10. There was 2 tables for party of 8 and 1 new party of 7 swoops in and took the table. I asked the host what's taking so long and there's 2 empty table for party of 8. She just told me that those are for other parties of 8 which I asked her "where are they? My party are the only one in the lobby?" Then she looked at her monitor and showed me see these tables that has a larger party we're just waiting for them to leave." Then I asked "why can't I take the one that's already empty and clean up already?" She just tells me "those are already taken." I asked, "by whom?" She couldn't respond. So when we finally got our table. I immediately informed our server that we'll be taking our meal orders already due to my party is already hungry. So we finally got our food and one of my party had a burnt fried chicken. Others didn't want to complain anymore because they just wanted to eat due to hunger. Finally tried BJ's in Tracy and was quite pleased! First, our server was super helpful and kind, helping me with a gluten-free menu (their menu is gluten-sensitive which is common for restaurants that aren't dedicated GF). I ordered a thin crust GF pizza and was able to make it half pepperoni half chicken bbq. It was a simple 5/10 -- not as good as going to a dedicated pizza place. The cream soda was delicious and of course I ended the meal with a GF pizookie (also delicious!). The environment is clean, modern, and spacious. I am looking forward to trying them again, this time for the GF burger! read more

The whole hype was a fail for us on this spot. Honestly the wait time for service is way too long especially when it's not even that packed. The food portion for the price we paid was ridiculous. The half rack ribs were really dried and asparagus was skimpy, the guacamole bacon burger wasn't even guacamole it was more like sliced avocados and again skimpy on the onion rings looks even worse when they serve it on a big plate for the small amount they give. 4 stars for food and ambiance but 0 stars for service We were excited when we saw the bj's being built nearby! We went here for a casual date night on a Friday night. The wait time was about 30 minutes but we decided to grab some open seats at the bar. We ordered a draft beer, a holiday drink, couscous mac and cheese bites, bbq ribs with French fries and asparagus, and they have an awesome $13 meal deal - I ordered the great white pizza with Caesar salad and a brownie Pizookie. All of the food was great! There's an amazing selection of beers and their drinks are so cute. Unfortunately the service cons outweighed the food pros. We had to borrow the menu from the couple sitting next to us and had to ask for water 3 times. When our appetizer came we had to ask for silverware and napkins and then again for small plates. Then we had to ask the bar back if we could please order our entrees with them. The bar backs were the most helpful people behind the bar. After we finished our entrees we asked for boxes twice and tried to find someone to kindly remind them of the pizookie that came with my meal. We made the mistake of paying via QR code before receiving all of our items because no one paid attention to us after that. Multiple people around us were getting pizookies they ordered after us and multiple bartenders assured us they would check on our dessert... 35 minutes later we received our mini pizookie but we just wanted to go home at that point. The bartender apologized and offered my boyfriend another beer - right before leaving one of the other bartenders told her to make sure she charged us for it. She seemed reluctant but ended up opening our tab up again and dropping the new check without saying a word. Going to BJ's is a safe bet: good beer to pair with the pizza or any of the fried options. My family and I went recently to take advantage of their $13 meal deal. The deal includes a small selection of their mains, unlimited soup/salad, or a personal pizza and a personal pizookie. I got the chicken ranch piadina, which is a wrap that's crispy from the parmesan. It was pretty good. Not too salty and I liked the crunch. It also came with fries. I thought the portions were just right because these chain restaurants usually have gigantic portions. Though, one of the options had an asterisk stating it was a lunch portion. I got the salted caramel pizookie and again it was the right portion for one person. The wait staff and host/hostess are friendly and helpful. And like all BJ's, it can be noisy, especially during dinner. But the wait, even at the beginning of service, is very slow. I'm not sure if they're short staffed. Plus, we were missing a pizookie, so that was another wait. As I said earlier, this is a safe option to get yummy food where the menu has a variety of options. But the wait is long, especially during the dinner rush. So if you're short on time, do not dine here or order food on the app for pick up.
