I've heard about brewery and how they won awards so I decided to check them out recently. The brewery is a little in the smaller side and the parking lot could be better but the beer and service were excellent. It can get loud when they get busy like today when a party bus full of people just showed up out of nowhere. The only complaint I have which is nothing against the business itself is the parking lot kind of sucks. The lines in the spaces were either non-existent or very faint so it was hard to tell what was a spot and what wasn't. They also had 1 handicap spot right in front of their business that was on an awkward hill/repaved slope that could scrape cars lower to the ground if you try to park on it. Ignoring the parking situation, however, I definitely recommend trying them out. Their beers are some of the best I've had in a while and their prices are pretty good. I don't get many opportunities to visit Tracy. Okay, let's be honest... I have zero reasons to visit Tracy. But I think I just found one in Morgan Territory Brewing. After an errand took me to Livermore, a quick Google of local breweries pinged Morgan Territory's brewery and taproom about 15 min further southeast. I've been a fan of Morgan Territory for years but never thought of a day trip to the mothership. But the drive over Altamont Pass on a sunny Sunday afternoon and the lack of heavy traffic made for a fun adventure. The brewery's tucked down an industrial road in Tracy, and the setup there is pretty sweet... some outdoor seating out front, a cozy taproom with bar and table seating, and a food truck out front if you need something to go with your beer. We skipped the food as we were just there to have a look and pick up some suds to go. But I'd definitely return for the full experience. Service was friendly, quick, and helpful. The bartender asked what I was looking for (IPAs and hop-forward brews) and directed me to what was on tap. While the Imperial stout with coffee and the Scotch wee heavy ale sounded fantastic, I decided to go with their Hoptomic, a boozier (8.5 ABV) choice between the IPAs on the menu. I was given a taster just to be sure--it was yummy--and then decided on a crowler (32 oz can) which they pour and can on the spot. If we didn't need to head back to Oakland for dinner plans this would have been a perfect afternoon to sip and snack there, but we'll just need to wait till our next chance that we are headed into the Valley. read more

Solid beer spot. They do the typical 100 IPAs like every other CA brewery but they do have a few lagers and a nice kolsch. They get lots of regulars. In fact every time I go there is the same guy there, no matter the time of day. read more

We took a short road trip here to check out this award winning brewery. It's located in an industrial area of Tracy. Service is friendly and you order at the counter. I tried the hard root beer (seltzer) and my partner got the dopplebock and barley wine. All were great but we wouldn't come out of our way for this again. The food truck was a Filipino place that hadn't opened yet by the time we left so we didn't try anything from there. Not a bad place to try local beers if you're in the area. They had TVs showing the NFL game on all of them if that's your thing. I would recommend showing different things on different screens if possible for variety. read more

This is our first visit to MT & it was perfect ! We met Cassandra who was sweetest & genuine smile beer tender , she made excellent choices & we did end up purchasing a 4 pack of Honey Bee brew it was pretty darn good. I'm not a big beer person but this one was one I would have again & again. I also tried a tropical sour & that was good too ! This place is very open & we happened to come when it was nice & cool weather not the stifling heat we had the past couple of days . The inside is very clean & really nice vibe . We were greeted by Cassandra who had the best smile ever & this speaks volume's & creates a fun & welcoming atmosphere. One of the main reasons for visiting was Hog_House bbq & Kishawn makes the dang best bbq ever!!! We usually go once a month to the various venues he's at so the bonus is we get to try new places . This used to be one of my favorite places. It's not the same and a total hit and miss. I guess the beertenders lunch break was more important than the beer I ordered. Also... my suggestion. I live in the Bay and my mom was driving from WA state to San Diego and we met here in the middle. What a great find! The inside has a great vibe with lots of seating and they had some outside seating too. We sat inside and the bartender was great. He let me ask all kinds of questions and they helped me get a flight to try a bunch of different beers. For us, this is not a brewery we would ever go to again. Everything is hoppy, even things that really aren't supposed to be hoppy. Pilsners, porters stouts- you can really taste the hops, which makes them awful for us. We really don't like hops- so when everything is hoppy, it's a no-go. If you like hops, go here. If you like a beer that doesn't taste life grapefruit, god how I hate grapefruit, then go somewhere else. read more

This was one of the first spots my husband and I checked out when we moved to the area. My first impressions of this place was that it was a great place to come and hangout. We have visited a few times now and every time we have been here, it is usually pretty packed but they have plenty of seating both inside and outside. Every time we have come here, they have a few new beers. My husband and I typically liked our usuals but we are always willing to try new beers. They have a pretty good selection as well so you will most likely be able to find something you like. The staff is always super friendly and attentive when we come here. Wow! I've found a new spot to enjoy some downtime with some family and friends! I've lived in Tracy for over 20 years and never knew this place existed until now! If your into a relaxing environment, great tasting beer and some good music this is the place! Kids welcomed too... Came here for a few pints to try on a Friday...it's starting to get warm people and a good cold beer is great on a warm day! Hit this place up, it's local! You won't be disappointed...they have inside sitting as well as outside...outside seating has a bar out there as well so no going in and out. We were traveling and stopped in. It was a great half way point between sacramento area and the Bay Area. Hidden, small but still impressive. They brew most of their own beers. The beer tenders are all super friendly, if they are not busy they will even come up to your table and ask if you would like another beer. Casandra is the best! I got a flight since it was my first time here and wanted to get a feel for the beer selection. Out of 6 beers I enjoyed 4 out of 6. The rollin in the haze was my favorite. Now to the food. It was the NBA playoff game and they had the game playing which was a plus. There was a food vendor called Local Loco by chef Trino who provides Hawaiian bbq fusion. I got the Our table ordered birria grilled cheese, the sirloin smash burger, birria nachos & bacon butterscotch bread for desert. All tasted amazing & food quality was great. No complaints. Chef Trino is so skilled, talented & friendly. Great job Morgan territory brewery! This was a great find for us, as central valley does not have a ton of breweries around that are not chains. The staff is knowledgeable and their customer service was excellent. With the addition of the food trucks on the weekend, it is our go to place on a friday night. All the beers we've sampled so far have been great (especially the barleywine) and we normally end up taking home a 4 pack before we go. I would recommend going early, as it can get crowded but they have plenty of outdoor seating on the patio. Last time we were there, they were just getting up and running a new walkup bar at the patio. We will be coming here frequently over the summer to enjoy. read more

(9/18/21 Visit) For my family, any trip to Tracy isn't complete without a visit to this craft brewery. My brother discovered this place years ago and we always look forward to enjoying the beer selections. The beertenders are friendly and helpful, taking the time to answer any question. We were there at 2:30pm on a Saturday and it happened to be slow. Every other time I have been, it's pretty busy. We were able to have good conversations with the bartender. I went with the Motorboatin' IPA which I enjoyed. I tried a Scotch Ale for the first time, thanks to my brother a beer connoisseur and loved it. It was the Highland Marauder. I like that you can get a 4oz glass so you can taste your way through their beer menu. My brother will usually get something to go and went with the Blood Orange Seltzer which he liked. They sometimes have food trucks but they do allow you to bring your own food. Their website lists their events. Always a nice time at Morgan Territory Brewing! Cheers! read more

Come check this place out if you are looking for a laidback atmosphere with delicious and affordable beers. My favorites were "Moontime" and "Bee's Better Have My Honey." They have plenty of seating in their back patio which would be super enjoyable during the daytime and warmer weather. There isn't as much seating inside but since this place isn't overly crowded, you shouldn't have any issues. The bartenders were friendly and helpful with their recommendations. This review is for the tasting room and not the beers. My wife and I went here last Friday, July 5. If you have never been here, you will feel a little uncomfortable as you will look like an idiot as everyone will assume you already know what to do... and customers there do stare at you. Secondly, I brought a 1 gallon (128oz) Crowler and a 2.5 gallon Cornelius mini keg. They were able to fill the 1 gallon Crowler but will not fill the 2.5 gallon keg. I am still not sure why because they can fill a half gallon Growler (64oz), a one gallon Crowler (128oz), a 1/6 keg and a half keg. So, to fill 2.5 gallons, just do two 128oz plus a 64oz, wouldn't it? apparently not that simple. Not sure if this is the law or some limitations in their setup. So I went to Altamont Beer Works a few miles away and they filled my mini keg. The only question I was asked was "what beer do you want in it"? Also, there is no food for sale here. All the pictures of food you see in this Yelp profile are from the events they had and the food stall outside of the tap room where you can buy food separately to bring inside the tap room (yes they allow outside food). I guess the owners just want it to stay as a tasting room and nothing else. Not sure if I'll be back. read more

My husband loves this place!! This probably the best brewery ever because I don't drink beer they have really good seltzers, they always have good flavors. I enjoy coming here every time with my hubbie. It has good patio for being outside or small room for having party. They have really good service. Sometimes they have good food trucks. Came here during the Barks, Boos, Brews event to benefit a local shelter for dogs. The location is located next to a shipping facility where the trucks pick up their containers. Anyway, inside is fairly busy and has plenty of people. I was outside during this event so it helped with feeling less clumped. Outside is pretty cozy and not bad but it is pretty noisy. Especially with the music. The artist was pretty good he played some good songs. They had a food truck that had some decent although a little pricey. I forgot to add their brews are very good they have a lot of options. I would definitely come back here some time. read more

Literally every table was full, all the seats at the bar were full, and at 7:00 a limo-full of people showed up (presumably to use the reserved room in the back). The beertender was nice but so busy. There was live music - a guy with a guitar playing covers - and a food truck. It's family friendly, kids were running around. It's in an industrial area so you won't stumble on it, need an address and GPS. Very limited seating outside. I left after 1 beer because I had to sit outside and it was cold.
