I'm not super familiar with Manteca yet, but my family just opened a barbershop down the street, so when I visit, I've been exploring the area more. Stopped into Brethren Brewing with my parents this weekend and happened to catch their Oktoberfest -- such a fun find! The vibe is super cute and welcoming, and honestly they had me the second I saw the room full of plants. I tried the Tropical Trinity seltzer and wow -- one of the best seltzers I've ever had. So smooth, refreshing, and packed with bright flavor! What really stood out was how community-driven this place feels. I noticed there were quite a few regulars + they had activities set up for kids(crafts & games) a candy bar and ice cream, even treats for dogs! Plus, they host weekly events like Taco Tuesday and bingo nights, which I think is awesome. Definitely feels like my new go to spot for Craft Beer in Manteca! read more

Had a get together here for my farewell party from my previous job. The beer is great. I had the Blue Crush and Michelada. The place is kid friendly, which makes it better. They have some snacks to purchase but everyday there's some food trucks in their back parking lot to pair with their beers. I will come back here for sure. read more

Cool place, but it feels more like a coffee shop than a brewery. Very open air, clean, bright, and plants. There's parking out back and occasionally they have events like karaoke and food vendors. What really drew me in was the build you own seltzer option. I got really excited and tried the lavender since that's my go to coffee but it doesn't work as a seltzer. I came across this place through yelp looking at breweries it popped up. The rainbow flight caught my eye and I had to come by. We came on a weekday a little after they opened which isn't busy but there were other customers besides my party of 3. Service was maybe a tad slow since there was only one person working but he got the job done. Price was decent and everything we had was delicious, although I didn't favor the lavender selection. I definitely would suggest this place to try something different and hang out is very chill. Music is what you usually would hear in a restaurant setting. They have food truck to order food in the back. Seems it's prepared healthier than all places I've gone. The restroom area needs a little work on smell even though it looks clean it needs to be deep cleaned to rid the smell of urine. For sure the bowl and down of the toilet is where the smell is coming from since it's a bathroom that all can use and men's urine runs down it causing the smell. Either then that, I do plan on coming back in the future bringing other friends to check out this location and the food truck is another reason I'd for sure be back. Maybe I'll bring the kids next time since they are kid friendly. read more

Came here for Father's Day. It was my first time here and i e been a anting to try them forever. Glad that I came because I fell in love with them. I first tried their beer at the Manteca Christmas at the Center and now fully experiencing them at their location. I ordered a beer flight and every one was good. First time stopping at brethren, but it wont be the last. When I arrived I parked in the back behind the brewery. There was a stand being set up to sell what smelled like super delicious mexican food. Walked into the brewery it was clean and had tons of seating. I met a friend there. We sat at the bar and we were immediately greeted by the gentleman working the bar. Since it was our first time, he gave us a couple of recommendations. It was early so I decided to go with a kolsch. It was delicious. After the kolsch, I had a consensus ipa. I loved it. Brethren had a great vibe. There was a large group of all ages having what looked like a birthday party having a great time. Personally I like to watch sports when I'm drinking and if you do to, make sure you bring a tablet or laptop because this place has no TVs. Bartenders are friendly and very attentive. I am so excited to finally have a place where we can go to on a date nights out that is not a wanna be biker bar with piss smell at the door and puke on the bathroom floor. The attention to decor and ambiance as well as the expertly crafted beer makes this a new go to for me. This brewery is a treasure! Manteca is lucky to have it! I've moved away, but I'm always eager for a chance to return to BBC. The beers are consistently excellent. I love the atmosphere and design of the space; it's so warm and inviting. The brewery and taproom are always clean. The absence of televisions makes it easy to hold a conversation without competing with too much background noise. With beer flights and candy flights (and craft sodas, too!) it's great for the whole family! I haven't had a chance to check out the food trucks in the back, but I hear nothing but good things about them. I love that BBC is supporting local businesses and giving them a place to shine. Honestly, what's not to love about this spot? They've taken an old building and breathed new life into it, while still honoring the bones of the place. It's just a happy, welcoming place to be! We found this little place by looking for a place we could go for lunch with our pup and grandkids. They have a patio and are very pet friendly. There are options and snacks for the kids, and games to take out to play. The only food besides packaged snacks are homemade pizza's in a pizza oven that they do on the patio. Pizza was good. It's PACKED at all times but the lines go fast, it's a cute little place they have vendors in the back. You CAN bring kids and dogs here, they have a little kids menu of a tray of candy for $3. It is loud so if your children get overstimulated or overwhelmed I wouldn't recommend unless they have headphones. I like trying new things and to enjoy a flight of craft beers while eating off a taco truck sounded like fun. It was but of the five beers I tried I really only was impressed by one. The dunkel. The two staff I saw were friendly. The place was clean, even the bathrooms. I got my own drinks to the table, ordered my own food, picked up my own food. Not easy when it's from a truck in the parking lot out back and the door to get back in with multiple plates is a pull door without a place to set a plate down.
