One of the best breweries me and my wife have visited. Not one bad beer and multiple favorites. Loved the How Now Brown Cow (English Brown) and the Chocolate Stout. Their beertenders are great! Great with recommendations. Great with conversation. My wife and I drove 5 hours from LA just to taste the beer here. On arrival the location did not disappoint. It was comfortable and welcoming, what you would expect of a good brewery. We had previously tasted the Thai Tea Stout and were looking forward to it but it wasn't on tap, scheduled to return sometime in March. We'll definitely be coming back for their one year anniversary in May (for the Thai Tea Stout :P)

Service was great, nice open brewery can see everything. Asked about how they got started and was given a tour, love watching small businesses start up and thrive. Beers were good many different options to choose from great variety, even had options for non beer drinkers and non alcoholic options. Star for me was the brewery pup sporting the merchandise. Will definitely be back.

Great and friendly service! The owners are welcoming. Their dog is precious. I had the Juicy Hazy! Loved IT!!!

    Peach Cobler seltzer & Kolsch

This is such a great place!! The owners are fantastic and the service is impeccable. The 50/50 is the best seltzer EVER! The atmosphere is so cool. An added bonus is that the owners have the cutest dog!!! They have free games to play, you must try this place out, it's my new favorite brewery!

Nice place to relax and have a cold one, friendly service, and welcoming atmosphere. Their seltzers are the best I've ever tasted, no after taste, and very refreshing. But the star of the show, in my opinion, was the Thai tea stout, delicious.

The atmosphere is so welcoming and warm and the beer is absolutely delicious. I tried four of their beers and I loved every one of them. Take a moment to stop by. You won't be disappointed.

Would recommend. Very friendly service, good beers. They haven't been open long but already seem to have a fan following.

We were heading to a Livermore winery but came here instead because I didn't feel like driving in a downpour. Soft launch was today. Brand new smell. Family owned. Nice bunch. Still ironing out the kinks but had a good time for 2. Hazy was very good. Stout was perfect for a rainy day. Wife raved about the seltzers. Liked the ability to adjust the syrup. Will be returning with groups.

cute little sitting area, nice and cool in the summer

Had an overnight work trip that had me in Modesto so I was trying to find something fun to eat…read more After a bit of research I found this place. I showed up around 7pm and I thought it might have been closed because no one was here. But they were open. I ordered a Bauer burger with the house seasoned fries. They asked how I'd like the egg cooked and the burger cooked: I asked for medium for both. Given how dead the place was, it did take a minute to get my food. The burger was ok, not worth $21. The bun fell apart very quickly which is a bit of a cardinal sin in the burger game. The bacon on the burger was not bacon strips but a bit of bacon crumble. The patty was a bit overcooked so it was dry and it wasn't seasoned so it was bland. The egg was cooked perfectly, but the aioli and the egg yolk with a disintegrated bun made for a huge mess. The fries were interesting. The house seasoned fries are not salted. So the fries were almost sweet due to the spices, but no salt. And they do not have regular table ketchup or malt vinegar. I did ask for some ketchup and they brought me their house ketchup. While not like a classic ketchup, it was actually quite good. Oh, be aware. They will charge you a 4% fee when they bring you the check (what would have happened if I'd paid with cash?). I do not see anywhere on the menu where they say their is a payment fee so that is a pretty shady business practice. Overall: meh. I think for the price point the burger should have been great, but sadly I can't say it was great or even good. I'd likely not return.

Our waitress was so nice and in a good mood so that was nice too. The restaurant doesn't have have music and I liked that, we could actually have a conversation and not yell at each other. Lol our food was super flavorful and we will be back! The ketchup had a unique & I will say my black berry coulis & Brie burger was delicious. I loved the flavor combo. The seasoning on the fries and the Mac and cheese was also unique and kind of sweet.

Today I took a friend out to the Twisted Pig for a meal. This review is first my impressions,…read morefollowed by his. First, we were seated promptly (outside, as the inside was full). This worked fine for us. We had our menus and drinks in a reasonable time, and had a relaxing time throughout. We both had the pulled pork sandwich along with the ice tea. I also had the cup of chili - nicely spiced). I enjoyed my sandwich (skipping the bun, as I am trying to limit carbs). My friend, whom I realized often fusses about the meals we share, was more critical. His comments were "Wrong bun, hamburger bun shoulda been an onion bun" and "How long does it take to make a sandwich?" (The wait time was totally reasonable to me.) He didn't like the potato salad (but ate it all with little time spared). He liked the meat in the sandwich, giving it a 5 out of 5. He liked the service less (I felt it was on point and just fine.) The twisted pig is a good place to eat, if it is noisy inside (as it often is) check out the patio.

The flavors and combinations of how they made their sauce for the brussels sprouts. The little bit of cheese, the roasting, just perfectly. Those Brussels spouts were man. Oh, man, so so good. I mean, I was surprised there were any left at the end of lunch because they were so good. Then there was the deep fried pickles. Pickles are just something that you have to either love Em or you hate Em. But deep fried pickles are just that sour taste that I just have to have. I have to have a sweet and a sour and pickles are just that for us. So we enjoyed them. They were just crispy enpugh on the outside with just a nice firm bite of the pickle, tender. And then that bitterness was really good. And then our main meal came, and there is enough food on that platter for two people to share. So if you're getting it for one, you better be a hearty guy like you gotta be a lumberjack guy to eat this all by yourself. Because this is like a platterful. There is like 6 ribs on that plate, 2 mouds of the pulled pork, 2 big huge scoops of macaroni n cheese and like a bag of those tater tots, then they drizzle, drizzle, drizzle, barbecue sauce. All over it, it was just like mouthwatering. When it hit the table. It smelled so good, it was just amazing. And then we just dove in a little bit, tried this a little bit of that, the ribs fell off the bone. It was so good. Now the restaurant is small and looks like it is a locals kinda spot so it is semi loud with sports and men chopping it up, but there were ladies sitting at various tables and a couple of families so it is semi family friendly if you dont mind the bar aspect that is bigger than the eating area in my opinion. We only seen one staff member on the floor and one behind the bar while we were there, but the service was quick and the ladies were attentive so it was a good experience. The decor needs an update and it had a 4 out of 5 vibe for me, but I rate food not people so I would go back for that.

Then I noticed the customers cars- all new nice vehicles (MBZ sedan, new Ford Bronco, Toyota 4-Runner, etc) The bar section was kind of crowded at 4:30pm, only a couple of seats open, so we sat in a funky raised booth with our backs to the window. Seemed like a lot of regulars as they all knew one another. Female bartender came out and took our beer orders and then brought menus. We ordered food (fish & chips, and a BLTA Club). Friend said they have great fish & chips and she was very pleased. i was surprised to find the BLTA far above my expectations for a pub. Fries were good too- perfectly cooked to a golden brown. I would go back for that sandwich when in that area of town. The food items were each just over $20-24, four beers $9 each. With tax and 20% tip it was just under $100 I'd go back 100%. For this visit, we had a very friendly server who would check in and every once in a while and everything ran smoothly during the ordering process. Me and my fiancé ordered the Brewhouse Bites Sampler which we both thought was amazing. And then we ordered our entrees: I got the Crispy Jalapeño Burger with sweet potato fries, got the burger well done and asked the server if I could get the onions grilled or cooked due to currently being pregnant; which I mentioned. My fiancé got Tri-Tip Medium well with Shrimp Scampi, Asparagus and Rice. While waiting for our food our server was accompanied by another server and she passed along that she'd be switching places with the server due to heading home and we appreciated that; the new girl was friendly as-well. 20-30 minutes pass and we get our food. Right away food looked great. Although, the onions were not cooked, they were raw; I put them to the side. And my fiancé's Tri-Tip was not Medium Well it was tough and well done; my burger was well done. The Shrimp Scampi only had 5 pieces of shrimp. And I tried my sweet potato fries and they were overly salty like someone had poured the whole salt shaker on the fries. My fiancé also tried them and couldn't eat them either, we both tried to take the salt off and they were extremely salty. We left feeling hungry. I'd recommend if any of you go to a Brewhouse and want to get full, go to the Brass Tap. There's an amazing atmosphere there and doesn't feel as cramped as BJ's seating is.
