Always welcomed with a smile when visiting queen bean! They offer indoor and outdoor seating. They had around two vegan options (I didn't get to try them). They have succulents and games outside. Pretty sure they have a cat that stays around the area too!! I normally see it sleeping by the succulent fountain!

I needed to find a coffee shop to take a meeting and that was dog friendly. The Queen Bean Coffee House popped up and it's a nice little coffee house. Indoor and outdoor seating available. The Caesar salad was good. I opted not to add chicken. The salad was hearty and filling. I like the sun dried tomatoes. Sam the owner came out to say hi and see the puppy. He's very nice. Street parking only.

Everything about this place screams warm, welcoming and inviting!!! The food and staff are what establishments in big cities have been missing. Service with a genuine smile

They were quite busy when we stopped by. The place itself is pretty unique and they have both indoor and outdoor seatings. There was an open mic going on while we were there in the backyard so listened to the singing a bit while we enjoyed our breakfast. Can't remember the latte I had but it had a Mexican spice and I enjoyed the drink although I didnt taste much of spice at all to it and I was warned by the cashier about it. Burrito was ok and as expected. Crepes, definitely a let down. Would not order the Crepes again.

I visited this cafe after hearing good things from friends, and my mom who also knows the new owners. I was excited to try it, especially since it's considered a hidden gem in Modesto. Note that parking downtown can be difficult. The place has a cozy ambiance as it's in a vintage house, with plenty of seating inside and out. When I walked in, a customer was chatting with the cashier for a while, and I wasn't sure when it was my turn, until the customer stepped back though they kept chatting. There wasn't a warm welcome or much customer service to start, but I let it go. I told the cashier it was my first time and asked about any fall drinks I saw on their Instagram, but she seemed unsure and a bit confused the entire transaction. I ordered an iced chai with pumpkin spice cold foam (even though I don't usually like chai) and enjoyed it as it wasn't too sweet or strong. I also got the breakfast bowl with sausage. It was good, very cheesy which I love. After working for a couple of hours, I placed a to-go order for my boyfriend and me (two drinks and two sandwiches). My order ended up taking over 20 minutes. When the cook handed me the sandwiches in an open box, I asked another worker for a bag so I could carry-out. I saw her go back to the cook, who visibly rolled her eyes and sighed. As someone who also works in food service, I felt bad and apologized for not saying it was takeout when ordering--but they never asked either. Honestly, after this visit, I'm not sure I'd come back on my own. While the drinks were good, the service was underwhelming, and I felt uncomfortable at times, especially when I noticed some older caucasian customers staring at me (a POC woman alone) while I was doing my work. Though that seems to be a common experience living in the Central Valley, that's not at the fault of the business if that is their usual crowd. Overall, it was just an okay experience, and I'd have to consider coming back... I don't think I would alone.

I enjoyed my coffee which was recommended by staff. It was one that was a shaken oat latte. I loved the ambiance. The variety of plants, the visual of a waterfall in the background while chatting with my friend was soothing. The aesthetics of the converted house are very cute. The attention to detail lets you know that they care about their customers' experiences. Nice spot for coffee and also to find your Modesto Merch! I can't believe I didn't snap a shot of the coffee but... next time.

Finally made it there after following the new owner's renovations on social media, and it did not disappoint! The new patio space that replaced the deck was so comfortable and inviting. The building itself looks great inside and out as well. The workers are so friendly and warm, and it's just such a happy place to be. Enjoyed a veggie sandwich and chai latte for lunch, and both were delicious.

This is such a cute coffee shop in Modesto. They offer food, drinks and unique gifts. I stopped in for a dirty chai latte which was delicious. I love the outdoor and indoor seating options which make it a wonderful place for a social gathering or a solo coffee date.

Queen Bean Morning Ritual Here in Modesto, my day begins at Queen Bean, with my chai. Today, I didn't have to ask. It was as if they already knew. I was quietly guided to order a large...and what I received was pure comfort in a cup. The extra honey and cinnamon foam? That is what sets it apart. Warm, familiar, and somehow elevated, this was the best chai I have had from any coffee shop in town. Sometimes it is not just the drink. It is being seen. And today, I was.

I had to go take a look , the setting is absolutely adorable indoor and outside, it seriously looks like a dollhouse. To my surprise..as I walked towards the house I heard loud metálica/punk rock ... and then I saw the sea of people all in black / tattooed every where ... colorful crazy hair and piercings . They were having a concert with a live band . I seriously was trying to process the clash , setting vs the crowd made me smile . It was super busy so I decided to grab something small and come back another time for a meal . I ordered a frappe and it was more on the bitter side vs sweet .not bad , but I do prefer sweet . The pastries I tried were good .

Great place to study and to hangout. Wish it would stay open up until 8pm on weekdays. I'm a grad student and I would love a place like this to study after classes in the week (after 5pm) overall i enjoy coming during the weekends :)

The sandwiches are just on my top 3 list they have soooo many options and are delicious but as I am a creature of habit I get the Spiffy Tiffy every time which consists of pesto, provolone, mushroom, avocado and pepper jack cheese, and their their halal chicken (this is what sets them apart from the other sandwich spots with a chicken option) it is SO good. I don't care for mushrooms but I will get the avocado on a little sometimes. It's a lot of goodness going on. The servers are extremely friendly, and always let you know nicely when your sandwhich is ready they don't just yell your name out even if it gets busy lol Everything is also very clean and sanitary with clean fountain soda areas and tables wiped down. I prefer this location over a lot of other locations because it is very spacious, it's self seating after you order your sandwich and the booths are nice. Some of the ones in the Bay Area there's absolutely nowhere to sit and the lines waaay out the door! So this location is a luxury! I even found one in Vegas off the strip and now one of my best friends is obsessed. Yes it's that good!! You absolutely have to try this, and any sandwhich with their Halal chicken! 10/10!

Here, you order your food, grab a number, and find your own seat for the food to be brought out to you. We sat at a table outside to decide what to order. There were no menus available so we just had to search for it online before heading inside to order. Despite being third in line from the register, we had an extremely long wait to order. There was only one person running the register who also had to make the drinks, meaning the service incredibly slow. We wanted to order the five taco platter, garlic fries, chicken Caesar salad, and mimosa pitcher. Sadly, we were only able to get the pitcher and salad. The cashier told us "sorry, we aren't doing fries right now." Not doing fries? Every plate in the vicinity had fries on them. She said that because it was brunch hour, only food on the brunch menu could be ordered. We looked at the brunch menu again and literally saw garlic fries as an option as a side for the burgers/sandwiches. No where did it specify that you can't order off the other menu and both were available online. What bothered us about this is that we placed this order at around 1:50pm, and brunch ended at 2:00pm. I understand that we are not entitled to things on the lunch menu during brunch-time for items like the tacos, but considering the menu swap was less than 10 minutes away and they were quite literally were "doing fries" at the time, it didn't make much sense to us. The only food that we ended up ordering was the Chicken Caesar Salad. This one dish took a super long time to receive. By the time it was brought out, the three of us nearly finished the Mimosa pitcher. The waitress noticed we had no silverware and said she would go grab us some. Because of how the service had been going thus far, we placed a bet on whether or not the waitress would come back with the silverware. Surprise, surprise. She didn't. We had to go inside later and search for silverware ourselves. We weren't even able to get sharing plates which was upsetting since the waitress asked us if we would be sharing the salad. The salad itself looked delicious, but was bland. The dressing was missing that zing and zest that a Caesar dressing typically has. I do appreciate that is was a chopped salad, had avocado, and seasoned croutons. It is just unfortunate that it was lacking any flavor at all. The food prices are quite affordable for the quantity of food you receive though. This experience was disappointing because I was so optimistic about the place. The menu looked good, it had fun and casual vibes and a cool crowd of people. If Commonwealth worked towards better service practices, it would have been a more positive experience.

The first time we came, it was just after this reel went semi-viral so there were a bunch of people lined up. Upon entering, the staff immediately let us know they were having issues with the kitchen and that they had no idea when it would be back up. We decided to leave and return another time. The second time, I made an online pre-order. I decided to get the meal deal for 4 (and a separate order of the blueberry biscuit fried chicken sandwich) for the most variety. This deal includes: - Chicken Option: 8 pc tenders, 16 pc wings, or 16 pc nuggets. I went with the 16 pc wings. They were heavily battered, and the wings were cooked through and still juicy. I wasn't too wowed by them though. - 2 Sides: I went with the honey mustard pasta salad and chipotle potato salad. The pasta salad was soggier than expected, but flavors of both were pretty good. Chipotle potato had a nice kick. - Loaded Wedges: This was literally a potato quartered into 4 wedges. Tastewise, I really liked the seasoning they used on the potato though. I didn't care for the loaded part (cheese, bacon bits, green onion). - Choice of 5 sauces: Personally, the best part of the meal. Their sauces are on point. I went with the strawberry heat, pineapple pepper, XXX, fuego, honey mustard (accident; I wished I had gotten the hot honey blueberry bbq instead). - 4 Can Drinks: Cool I guess, but wished the deal was focused on the food options. The separate blueberry biscuit with chicken was also only just OK. The biscuit wasn't fluffy or buttery and the blueberries were there visually only (barely any blueberry taste). The chicken was fine and not dry at least! The wait the second time around also wasn't bad. I scheduled a 12:15PM order, and I think I got my food about 15-20 min later. Overall, it was a good one-time try!
