I love this coffee shop so much! They have an awesome variety of drinks (including a cereal latte series), food and homemade bakery items. I love trying a different latte flavor every time I visit, but my favorite so far has been the Cookie Butter with macadamia nut syrup, recommended by one of the staff. They always have A++ recommendations and are so friendly. They also make their soft top in house and it's amazing!! The only food menu item I've tried so far has been the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were a little dry, but the gravy was super flavorful and it was a large portion for the price. I really want to try the churro waffle and the mini pancakes! My favorite baked good has been the red velvet macaron and the s'mores macaron decorated as adorable animals. Some local touches that makes this place special: a seating and toy area for littles, a build-your-own bouquet bar, and a super cute apparel stand with embroidered hats, sweaters and other accessories. Parking is easy, and there's cute shops in the area too plus the park across the street. The WiFi is strong enough to work from, although I wish there were a few more power plugs in case the corner spot is taken. Everything is so thoughtfully curated in the shop to create the most cozy space. The food is incredible and authentic. A bit dim inside but plenty of seating. Staff was welcoming and the menu was quite enticing... particularly the selections available for the avocado toast! I went with the chorizo and egg avocado toast. I appreciate that it came loaded up- but the chorizo was a bit of a miss for me for some reason, and it's what I was looking forward to most. My friend and I ate here for brunch a couple weeks ago. We had the churro waffle and chilaquiles to share. My friend got a cookie butter latte and I got some kind of mocha. Everything was pretty good. The air conditioning was out when we went which was a little uncomfortable, but bearable-- they had fans going to help. After seeing Soul Coffee's yummy Valentines Menu and adorable heart cups online, we decided to make the trip to Escalon to check them out! They were easy to find and we found parking on the street right outside. It was decorated super cute for Valentines with a few cute photo opp areas (they were being used so no pics). They also have plenty of indoor and some outdoor seating to choose from. We ordered one of their valentine drinks in a cute heart cup, an iced matcha a donut and a sugar cookie (almost too cute to eat). Our order was ready rather quickly. And everyone working was super nice. My daughter loved the cute play area in the front of the store. She would've stayed for hours if she could. Always love trying out a new coffee shop, especially one in my hometown. Love the decor and the style of the shop because it's bright, airy, and makes you want to never leave. This is the type of coffee shop that I would love to bring my laptop to and work for hours. The coffee selection is great and you can tell this little gem is loved by everyone in town! The reason I am giving it a 4 rather than 5 is because when I visited I did wait in line for 30 minutes. I was genuinely excited to support this local Latina-owned cafe, which made the experience even more disappointing. We paid then sat there for over 30 minutes making eye contact with staff and wondering where our food was before someone finally came over and asked us to repeat our order, only for them to barely start making it afterward. The lack of communication, long wait times, and underwhelming food and drinks unfortunately made the experience feel poorly managed. Think her replies and actions speak loud enough for her and her business. Classy. Reply to biz owner- your hours weren't on your IG so we went to your website where your hours were posted, check the picture of our convo about it. But can tell by your passive aggressive remark you take constructive criticism well. You'll go far in business, especially Escalon with that attitude. Best of luck! Where do I start?! I found out about this coffee shop a few weeks ago and was beyond excited that Escalon finally got a local coffee shop!! I've visited 3 times now and have been satisfied and obsessed after every visit. The ambience is spectacular, the pastries and breakfast items are chefs kiss, and their service is impeccable and kind. I'm always greeted with a smile, and the fact it's Latina owned captured my heart. Now let's touch base on their coffee. I try something different each time I've came in, and have never been disappointed. These aren't just regular lattes you can get from coffee chains, the specials they create are out of this WORLD!! Banana bread latte?? Fire. Coco puffs mocha? Get my coffin ready because I died from joy. They add stickers to their cups and printed foam pictures the attention to detail in their drinks mean more than they know. It's not only an energy pick me up but also truly makes my day. That much detail makes me feel valued as a customer!! I'm so proud of the owners and I wish them many many years of success. I'm building up my routine to become a weekly regular! read more

So refreshing to find a small business that is so well run and has such delicious items! I got the Mazapan latte - It was very enjoyable and didn't have that gross artificial sweetener taste that most coffee shops rely on now. I also thought that using the De La Rosa Mazapan as a drink flavor was so creative!! I was also given a cookie and a cute little bat on top of my drink! Such a cute and festive addition! Aside from the taste I was greatly impressed with the service I was provided during my visit. They were very helpful in assisting me with choosing what drink I would like best! We found this new place in Escalon.. I ordered the Gingerbread Latte and Eggnog Latte.. I was used to tasting those overpowering flavored coffees from bigger coffee places and so when I tasted this one not super sweet I was pleasantly surprised! I loved it! This was my first experience here, and unfortunately, it was not a good one. I walked into the establishment and went to the counter, but I honestly wasn't even sure who the employee was because no one acknowledged me. I stood there waiting while two women were having a personal conversation. After several minutes, one of the women finally pointed out that there was a customer waiting, yet the employee continued the conversation. Even after the other woman stepped away, the employee still did not acknowledge me. Instead of coming to the register, she went behind the counter, moved buckets around, walked to the back, came back out, picked up the phone to take another order, and continued doing other tasks while I was still standing there waiting. At no point did she greet me, let me know she would be with me shortly, or acknowledge that I had been waiting at the register the entire time. The whole experience felt very unprofessional and unwelcoming. She was not making drinks or actively helping other customers. I came in intending to support a small business after reading the owner's story, and I make it a point to support local businesses whenever I can. However, hiring the wrong employee can jeopardize the success of a small business. The employee working never attended to me at all. Thankfully, another employee who was off the clock stepped in and helped me from start to finish so I didn't leave empty handed. read more
