Came in on Valentine's Day so what I ended up purchasing might not be available year-round - FYI. Such a cute bakery! I probably said "Awww, that's cute!" multiple times to myself :) As soon as you walk in - they have baked goods on the shelves and lining the order counter. They have super adorbs decorations all over, it helped to keep me occupied while waiting in line. Friendly staff made it easy to ask questions when ordering - I asked what Valentine's drink was the most popular. They said that the Cupid's Arrow Latte was a hit so of course, I went with that as my drink of the day. It was super yums! I only went in for a drink but when looking at their heart cakes, I couldn't help myself - they were sooooo cute & how can I resist a mini heart shaped cake? So I nabbed one to share with my husband (& by share, I mean he takes a bite and I eat the rest, lol) -- the cake was scrumptious. They do custom cakes - I took a picture of the flavor/filling options. After reading the other reviews, it looks like I need to try out their non-sweet treats so I'll definitely be back to give that a try & maybe pick up another mini cake or two ;) read more

Great location and good coffee. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The Venue itself is a through back to the 1950s with its decor. With two visits my coffee has been great so try them out before your visit to the farmers market. read more

My friend was so excited to take me here, I'd been hearing her rave about it since last time she went, but she ended up leaving embarrassed and both of us upset. Neither of us will bother coming again and make sure it's known The prices are a bit high, which is usually fine, but the quality definitely doesn't make it feel like a worthy expense. My friend got brushed off trying to ask about specific dietary restricted food (that they do make) and was given an attitude like she was being a major nuisance. They were also giving the bare minimum information that didn't really cover what was being asked. So odd Then when it came to our drinks, apparently they don't sweeten lattes and laughed in my friend's face for not knowing this after she'd tasted her drink and asked (I haven't been to a place that doesn't put any sort of sweetener in them until now). She'd acted like my friend was dumb for thinking it would come sweetened. When she asked if they had stuff to sweeten it, the lady pointed away at a thing of granulated sugar and stated she should use that.. in an iced drink..where it won't dissolve.. and got all miffed when she'd asked for a splash of simple syrup to put in so it would actually mix. The lady didn't even seem to know what she was asking for and when she finally found it was like "There's sugar in it". Like, yeah?? That's why she wanted it? She also got laughed at while she was paying the 78 cent charge for that splash of syrup. Also, her drink didn't even taste like coffee. It tasted like pure oatmilk that was going bad. The employees were just kind of there, didn't really make an effort to greet us and didn't explain how the coffee was made so I almost got an unsweetened coffee without creamer without knowing. My sister ordered a matcha and it did not taste like matcha at all and it wasn't good. (Thankfully she got a refund) My other sister ordered a cherry latte and the only thing you could taste was cream with a splash of cherry. My cold brew was super watered down. Honestly this was my go to place for bagels, even over posh especially cause the quality for the price but lately it just hasn't been the same. Unless this one specific workers in the back I notice they just aren't good quality anymore. Usually they'd be nice and fluffy and packed with cream cheese not TOO much but not TOO little it was just perfect and tell me why I go today, have to pay for more cream cheese because they put barely any and didn't even spread it.. half was uncovered lol. Not only that but it looked like someone literally sat on it. It's like clickbait when you see what's in the case and then when you get a flat bagel. Also customer service isn't really as good anymore, but maybe that's cause I'm used to working fast food and also working at Starbucks, they make us keep smiles on our face and always be friendly to all our customers. I feel like it's the bare minimum for workers to at least have somewhat of a smile not just a straight face when taking someone's order making it obvious you don't want to be there. How have I never been to this place until now?! This is my new favorite shop in town. I actually hadn't heard of this place until I watched it on an episode of 90 Day Fiancé (iykyk lol) and I was flabbergasted I'd never even heard of Mocha Magic. As a Modesto native and lover of sweets, coffee, and tea, I needed to try it out. I was blown away by all the options available. They had a cute seasonal menu with Valentines themed pink drinks. They had an array of baked goods of all kinds from cupcakes to macarons to bagels. I got a strawberry matcha which was delicious. My sister got the "Pink Velvet" seasonal drink. It was good if you like sweet drinks. I couldn't resist buying a couple pastries because they looked so good. We got the homemade "Poptart" that was more of a sugar cookie with a jammy filling. It was spectacular. I also got the Earl Grey Lavender cupcake with Earl Grey buttercream frosting. It was so moist and perfect. I will most certainly be back! read more

I travelled to this business today to specifically try a "Chagaccino", and it was surprisingly good, will have another in the future. There were so many goodies to choose from; it was hard to make a choice. My family stopped inside for some coffee and pastries. My daughter bought 2 fall themed sugar cookies and my husband and I just bought a coffees. We tried to making some light conversation but maybe it was just one of those days? ‍ We ordered our coffee and stepped into the hallway. Coffees were okay, a step up from a drive thru, not anything I would become a regular for. Daughter didn't finish any of the cookies. This is the first time I've come here with my boyfriend. And we now want to become regulars! The staff is so polite and are very good at recommendations. The prices are very fair. The whole vibe and aesthetic of the shop is just darn right adorable! Me and my boyfriend plan to come here for a date night one day. My one complaint, everything is way too darn delicious I couldn't help myself! Lastly, this place is the definition of a hole in the wall. The shop can be hard to spot at first, but once you find it. You won't be able to miss it again. Just a tip, the parking for the shop is BEHIND the shop (yes you can park in front too). The staff is absolutely lovely and will recommend amazing food. More than half the time I get my sandwich, the sandwich is cold in the center and I have to reheat at home. Today I came in and tried something new, the sausage egg croissant and oh my... What a joke of a sandwich. Idk if the manager reads these comments but please ask your staff to make you one. The croissant bun is soggy, the egg tasted like cardboard and the sausage was disgusting (the sausage is frozen sausage balls). I felt completely ripped off... Really great, I always come back to this place every sunday or saturday. Thing is I gave it a 3 star because i never know what i'm gonna get. one time they heated up my croissant and flattened it and another time it was just heated and not flat. another time we asked to get croissants and they gave us bagels with cream cheese and eggs, it was weird, we were in a rush and just left tho. another time i asked for a bagel with cream cheese, same price i've always paid and they gave me a bagel that was in the front on sale since it was smaller and more unusual than the others and gave me that with cream cheese, i was upset. another time my mom asked for decaf and one of the workers admitted that sometimes she forgets to put decaf, i never got coffee after that because i react terrible to caffeine but i like coffee and always ask for decaf. the area is small and cute sometimes hard to find parking but there is a nice little garage in the back of the shop. read more

Nice array of sweets here, but freshness has taken a major backseat. Cannoli filling was fully dried out on the surface. Crusty-stale eclair (try saying that 5 times fast). Apple dumpling: hard as a rock. Although the Andes mint & chip cookie had a good taste to it, it was overly crumbly. The Chewbacca cookie was on the table of discounted items (probably a leftover cookie from Star Wars May 4th celebration), and even though I expected some staleness in the cookie, I wasn't too fond of the flavor itself.....it was just one-note sharp sweet (poor Chewie!). Surprisingly enough from all of this, the black and white cookie was actually pretty good; soft, cake-like cookie texture with a slightly-crisp, not-overly-sweet icing. There's that added star towards the rating. Was initially wondering why there was one of these cookies left at the bakery (I took the last one) while the other types of cookies were in plentiful amounts. Um yes! Chagaccino is a hit! We usually get Mocha's here- they are consistent and always really good! But the chagaccino's have so many benefits that it was hard to pass up. They are just as delicious as their other coffees. We love coming here. They offer a lot of pastries and food items that are yummy. It's a nice environment and there's a hall with tables where you can chill. I love the decor of this place it creates a great experience. The girls at the register are always really nice! If they remember something we usually add and we forget they'll always remind us. Their recommendations are on point- they really pay attention when you're ordering specifics. Prices are very reasonable and there's 30 minute parking right out front! If you go on Saturday's you can walk the farmers market while enjoying your coffee! It's on the same corner right next to Bank of America. 5 stars because I wouldn't want anything to change, the consistency already is perfect for us! read more
