I was there for an event I was helping with for my close friend's daughters 18th debut and was blown away at how beautiful the venue was. The open space concept with its elegant design was the perfect setting. All the staff especially Erica and Catalina were so helpful and organized. It helped keep us reassured we had picked the perfect venue. Honestly the whole staff was so accommodating and thinking ahead of us which helped keep the whole schedule running smoothly. When I started my venue hunt I knew I wanted an all inclusive venue that offered a space for ceremony, reception and get ready rooms for myself (bride) and the groom. Not only that but a space that had a natural beauty. When I came across The Century on Facebook and Yelp, it had caught my attention and I had to schedule a tour right away. As soon as we got to the venue for our first tour and meeting, I instantly knew it was the venue I had been looking for. The venue overall was beautiful, such a perfect backdrop for a wedding that you don't need to do much but add your own personal touch to make it more personalized. Without any hesitation, we had booked and secured our wedding date April 11, 2025. Erica, Venue Manager and coordinator, WAS AMAZING!!!! She guided us through everything, she is very attentive, incredibly polite and patient. She made us feel comfortable and the whole process felt so smooth, easy and stress free. Whenever I had any questions, Erica was quick to answer. OMG then the food, let me tell you our guest could not stop talking about the food. They enjoyed everything that was served. They were also accommodating to our concerns regarding any food allergies. I did have a concern about not allowing shots of liquor, but on wedding day there was no complaints from anyone. When The Century advertisement popped up on my Facebook in December 2023, I knew I had to go and see it for my own eyes. A week later, I booked an appointment and first met with Crystal Brouwer. She gave me the tour, and I absolutely fell in love with the venue. Crystal was so patient, honest and understanding. I knew I had to book this venue, and lo and behold; May 25, 2024 was booked for me (and my fiance of course). Also BIG plus, DOG FRIENDLY! Then I met Tatiana Lopez. My coordinator, savior and all around superwoman. She coordinated our tasting, our floral appointments with decorations... I must have emailed her over 500 times. And she was so patient, understanding and she also alleviated any anxiety. All the small details, the big details, the details I didn't even think of... she got it done! Chef Robert Root was in charge of our Buffett dinner. Our first tasting did not go as well, so we were able to do another one. Needless to say; the dinner was a success. (Guests would not stop complimenting the food.) The day of my wedding; Tatiana was there every step of the way. I would have forgotten to eat and drink if it weren't for her! I blinked and I swear everything was going by so fast, and Tatiana was here to cue us and kept the timeline on track. Before I knew it, everything was packed and ready to go for us. Beautiful venue. We found the #candlelightconcerts on my Facebook feed and we were not disappointed! The Century is in a nicer area of Modesto close to the Gallo. There are many great places close to have dinner before the show. I'm sure there are other events there or you could rent for wedding or other gathering, but the candlelight concerts are ongoing. Check it out, it's a nice date night. The concert is only about an hour, but you don't feel like it it's too short or too long. The string quartet was really good. We will be back!! read more

The Man and I have been officiating and coordinating weddings for about 10 years now. This place, by far, has been the BEST experience!! The venue provided a full team, including a wedding coordinator. My part was more handling the personal stuff with the family and girls and all the emotions and stress that come with getting 9 girls dressed for a wedding :-) The girls had a bridal suite to get dressed in, which had a steamer. Came in very handy, even though we had a couple issues with it after refilling it. But it was all good! The boys had a man cave and were able to chill - since, you know, it takes guys a fraction of the time to get ready! Crystal was the venue coordinator, and Christopher was her right hand. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING PEOPLE! Anything we needed, they provided. Guest list is a must! And I LOVE that they literally had someone at the door checking the guest list. This took away so much stress! The Century hosted my sister and brother in law's wedding May 5. The overall experience was amazing. They go above and beyond to make sure you get what you want and are on your team. "I GOT YOU" was repeated throughout by Tatiana. She was amazing as our coordinator and really helped make the reception for 220+ people run smoothly. The venue is amazing. You get the most for your $ here and can accommodate so many guests as well as have room to customize details for your perfect wedding. Greatest experience ever! From beginning to end, First of all, let me say the owner was so nice when we met and just the sweetest person. She assured me my coordinator would be the same, I didn't think that could happen however she kept her word. We had our coordinator Tatiana with us the whole time. I was so stressed out. Dj and makeup artist canceled last minute. Hairstylist canceled the day before. A friend in charge of cake didn't get the cake. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. But my experience at the Century was the only thing that went right and was nothing short of amazing. The venue and setting was beautiful. Allison was such a great help with the decorating. The food was delicious.. had compliments all night. The chef was a lifesaver.. the day of he put together this store bought cake and made it gorgeous. My wife and I had our wedding reception at The Century in May and it was a dream come true! We truly could not have asked for a better reception. The event staff and our coordinator, Tatiana, went above and beyond all night for us! I love the original brick interior and the lighting was perfect! My groomsmen and I used the downstairs Guy's Lounge to get ready for our off-site ceremony and we had a fun time! Tatiana was quick and attentive to anything my wife or I needed throughout the night! She had drinks prepared for us as soon as we sat way our table! Our guests continue to tell us how amazing the music/ DJ (Sound in Motion). The specialty cocktails we chose (Whiskey Sour, Blushing Bride and Marry Me Margarita) were also a huge hit with our guests!! My wife and I danced until the very last song with our guests. We wished the night wouldn't end. All of that being said, there were a couple of very minor things that did not have any kind of negative impact on our time at The Century, nor would these things keep me from recommending The Century. The Guy's Lounge is located downstairs and has a 'Port-a-Cool' to help with air ventilation but it does make the room a bit stuffy. Unfortunately none of the bridal party was able to enjoy any of the appetizers that we had chosen. Our entree of choice for dinner was the honey mustard chicken and my wife and I both had pieces that were dry. We understand that catering for 150+ people is no small task and you will have some chicken that is cooked longer than others, it happens! Like I said, these things did not have any major impact on our night, but I believe an issue cannot be resolved if it is not brought to light. The Century did an absolutely wonderful job and I cannot praise Tatiana and the staff (Bartenders, servers, set-up, clean-up, food prep) enough! My wife and got married at the smaller venue, Nine3One, in April of 2021. The venue is beautiful, the staff is great, and the cost is very reasonable. The venue fit our wedding of 40 guests perfectly. The breezeway sat all guests comfortably, and the ceremony/dance floor area was more than big enough. It was decorated perfectly. We also rented the additional space, I think it was called the bouquet bar. Our guests had plenty of room to enjoy the night. The staff, Allison in particular, was a pleasure to work with. She is responsive, knowledgeable, and thoughtful as she planned our wedding, and served as the event coordinator during our wedding. I stumbled upon this venue while scrolling around on Instagram and thought that it looked promising. We went to visit during one of their open houses, and the moment we walked through the door, we knew it was the one. Totallyyyyy our style and vibe. We booked almost instantly and from that moment on, it was smooth sailing. Our event director was Crystal and she helped keep us on track up until the big day! The venue itself is so beautiful on its own. We added our own personal touches and this just added to the whole urban-chic vibe of the place. They also offer additional options to really make your theme the star (like linens and chargers)! The day-of ran so smoothly thanks to Crystal, she and the rest of the team at The Century 100% know how to run their events. Our photographer also told us they appreciated how smoothly they transitioned the ballroom from the ceremony set-up to the reception set-up. In the beginning, we also wondered if we would be happy with the food and floral since we wouldn't get to choose external vendors for this, but we honestly LOVED our dinner so much (and we actually got to eat!), and the florist captured our Pinterest board TO A TEE! We opted to go with their preferred DJ as well, and he may have strayed a tiny bit from our original song choices, but he definitely still stayed in the realm of what we wanted to dance to. I photographed a gorgeous wedding here this weekend and everything was absolutely perfect. The décor, florals, cake, dj, lighting, coordinator, staff and overall energy was spot on! Trina was our coordinator on Saturday and she's a freakin gem! She kept the day rolling and never missed a beat. If we needed anything either her or one of the staff was on it immediately. The food here is always great, hot and on time. The ceremony space is lovely with the most gorgeous brick walls lined with market lights and gorgeous rustic chandeliers. My husband and I got married at the smaller venue "NINE3ONE" on 11/12/22. We found this venue last minute since we wanted to get married on our 10 year anniversary and were super blessed to have found it. It is small, 50 guests allowed only, tables, chairs, linens, napkins, plates, silverware, cups, easel, table numbers, and rooms for bride and groom to get ready all included in base price. Im probably missing a few things but you get the point! You can add additional time since it's a 3 hour package with 4 hours being max for ceremony or dinner. That's probably the only negative about the place. We got the max time and used the Alcove for our ceremony. We picked the tacos for dinner since we had a budget. You do have to use their cater and florist. As long as you let your wedding coordinator know what you want and what fits in your budget she does make it work. I had Crystal as mine. I loved her!! She was very helpful and always responded in a timely manner. She did have to step as a helper due to personal reasons and someone else took over the last month. Crystal was at the wedding still assisting and helped in the bar. The guests loved her. I wasn't too happy about the coordinator that took over. She was new and needed a lot of help. She needed more confidence like Crystal. We had to make it work. Overall everything turned out beautiful and the guest loved it. I wish the night lasted forever. We started the planning process a little over a year before the wedding date. I immediately fell in love with the venue just based off of pictures online. You don't have to go out of your way to search for flowers, catering, decor. None of that. Just show them your vision and they will make it happen. Dj was absolutely amazing too. The day of my wedding. Was absolutely Amazing. I can't even put in words how amazing everyone was. Crystal and the whole team especially Chris made us feel soooooo special. We didn't have to serve ourselves. They made sure we were taken care the whole night. The decor everything was amazing. Of course I was a ball of nerves that day Crystal made sure to try to calm my nerves. The whole team that night treated everyone in my wedding party amazing and all the guests enjoyed their time.
