Didn't make an appointment? Waiting at the gate? CALL THE PHONE NUMBER!…read more We almost missed out on this gem because the gate was closed and we didn't make an appointment. Was about to drive on... But I decided to call and Farmer John was more than accommodating! It's a farm meets vineyard meets winery. Anyways, we called and Farmer John came and opened the gate for our two cars. We came in and parked next to the barn. He gave us the choice of tasting inside or outside - we chose outside. After the 15 minutes he needed to get ready, he rolled out with all the glasses and bottles required for a tasting for 5 adults. Most of the wines are fruit forward but we all really enjoyed that about them. They well blended. John also explained that he's not pressured to put out wines that he doesn't feel meet his standard. This is a passion for him. Great conversations followed. The kids all played around the grounds and even went to go meet the farm animals! We all bought 2 bottles (or more) each to cover our tasting. It was great enjoying this time and the conversations surrounded by green grass and a wonderful farm setting. Definitely will be coming back!

Quaint little place, but beautiful. The family that owns the place runs it and were very nice…read more Would be an awesome place for class reunions. There was an additional fire ring with chairs around it also. The barn is beautiful yet rustic with real bathrooms inside. Also a full kitchen w commercial ice maker for use if you have an event there. I was pleasantly surprised with this place. Loved it and would definitely go back

Food was bland. Prices are atrocious. Space is cold (not burrr cold, just not cozy). Service was…read moremediocre. Our waiter kept forgetting our orders. Bruschetta was soggy. No one knows that brucetta is toasted crostini FIRST then place the tomato/garlic on top!! The died ravioli was so dry tasting bland. Chicken picatta had zero flavor and side veggies were hard as a rock. Rick shrimp pasta was super bland as well. We stated it was a birthday celebration and he acknowledged it upon greeting us but didnt do one damn thing when we ordered the bread pudding! We were seated wayyyyyyyyyyyyy in some back room by a busy walkway that people kept going through. The helper servers come by wayyyy too often to fill water which was very annoying- here's a thought- leave the pitcher or get bigger water glasses!! The helpier that picks up dirty dishes came by and wanted the dirties the second we were done (and sometime before we were done)! He even disturbed the waiter as he was talking to us about our next order and asked the waiter to pass him one of the dirty app dishes!!! So basically, the chef needs to hade others taste his dishes to see they need more seasoning and the wait staff and their helpers need to read the room....not bother the waiters when they're speaking, leave pitcher of water if they see us drinking it too fast for them to keep up! And for gods sake, when people say they're celebrating something, acknowledge it!!! We spent over $200 on a mediocre experience and didn't even get a flipping bday candle!! No desire to return.

Oakdale Sportsmen's Club - Trap Range #3

The reviews and photos before mine are extremely old and do not accurately portray the current status of the club. If you enjoy, pistol, rifle, trap and/or archery shooting this place offers all of it. I have personally only used the trap range. The range has had a lot of aesthetic improvements from the older photos. The backdrop has been updated. The grass between the concrete trap stands is lush and manicured. The trap houses are also in great shape and had no issues tossing birds for our group. There is also a set of bleachers for guests to watch shooters. If you want to become an OSC member, it comes with some perks like discounted range pricing, access to hosted dinners, etc. Unfortunately, as of the date of this review OSC memberships are currently full. There is a waiting list with a large list of applicants. Refer to their website calendar for the most current schedules as most ranges are only open on specific days and times. The club is also fairly active in posting activity on their Instagram and FaceBook pages. This is a good club that is worth a visit.

Although clean and well kept, the website and management are flawed. The calendar on the website had scheduled a one hour event today from 10-11a and we arrived at noon to shoot. After setting up all of our targets, put on all of our PPE, and were basically range hot a staff member told us we couldn't shoot. We discussed the calendar and his response was that Google Calendars was to blame and the event was going until 4pm. He also insinuated that all members who had gone through orientation should know that these events are hours long regardless of what the "calendar" says. There were no signs indicating the range was closed to non-event members and the calendar was wrong. We didn't mind that we weren't allowed to shoot but he made us feel like it was our fault for not knowing their schedule. Why even have a calendar on your website if it's misleading and incorrect? Why give us 30 minutes to set up just to kick us out? Still wanting to enjoy a day of a shooting we popped over to the Waterford Sportsmen Club. Sandy was more than happy to set us up with a membership and make us feel at home. They even have campgrounds and properly scheduled events!

Rather than take my information and call me back. She made me call. So I did. I called back and asked about my reservation since I was experiencing issues - I got Yolanda again with her supervisor in the background and me on the speaker phone. I explained the story once again, Yolonda asked how I booked. I explained directly through Holiday Inn Express. She told me she couldn't do anything and that I had to "call them directly" or fix my issue through the app. I seriously questioned this comment since they are the front desk and oversee the reservations and I was more confused when she (and the supervisor) told me I needed fix it through the app. Still confused, I didn't under why they couldn't help me. They told me to add another person to the reservation to resolve me. I told them I tried to but I couldn't. They said again, "you'll have to call us directly or fix it through the app". The supervisor in the background was loud enough that Yolanda didn't have to repeat back instructions. Yolanda was ready to get off the phone since she told me "I'm almost off for the day and I won't be able to assist". I said "never mind I'll figure it, maybe I'll just cancel and try again" I called IHG customer service and spoke with Amy, she at least tried to help me. Amy ended up calling the front desk at the hotel and explained the situation. Somehow miraculously Yolanda and the supervisor were able to fix my reservation. Amy was also confused why they didn't want to help me or fix the situation directly. I would not return here or recommend this location. Save your stress.
